Broadway phenom Idina Menzel played Shelby Corcoran, Rachel's birth mother and the coach of Vocal Adrenaline. Fun fact: Rachel aka Lea Michele paid tribute to Idina on Season 6 when she sang "Let It Go," Idina's hit song from Disney's "Frozen."

John Stamos played Dr. Carl Howell, a dentist who is also Emma's ex-husband, during Season 2 of "Glee."

Olivia Newton-John played a fictional version of herself during the first season of "Glee." In the episode "Bad Reputation," she asks Sue to help recreate her famous "Physical" music video.

"American Horror Story" alum Matt Bomer guest starred as Cooper Anderson, Blaine's big brother, on Ryan Murphy's other hit show, "Glee," in 2012. Matt made sure to show off his musical skills during the episode, singing a Duran Duran mashup as well as Gotye's "Somebody I Used to Know" with Darren Criss.

Britney Spears had an entire tribute episode dedicated to her during Season 2. The pop superstar made a few brief cameos during the students' fantasy performances of her songs.

Neil Patrick Harris brought his musical skills to Season 1 of "Glee." He guest starred as McKinley High board member and former glee club star Bryan Ryan, who has a long-standing feud with Mr. Schuester.

Gwyneth Paltrow had the recurring role of Holly Holliday on "Glee" during the show's second and fifth seasons. Holly was the easygoing, lighthearted substitute teacher at the school who sings an awesome "Umbrella" mashup during one fun episode.

Ricky Martin showed off his acting chops during Season 3 of "Glee." The "American Crime Story alum" guest starred as David Martinez, a night-school Spanish teacher whom Will Schuester introduces to McKinley High.

Gloria Estefan guest starred twice as Santana's mother on "Glee." She first appeared on Season 3 then reprised her role on Season 6 when Santana married Brittany.

Lindsay Lohan popped up as a Regionals judge on the "Nationals" episode during Season 3. She played a fictional version of herself.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes landed a recurring role on "Glee" back in 2012. She played Roz Washington, McKinley High's new synchronized swim coach — and later the coach of the Cheerios — who is a former Olympian.

TV legend Carol Burnett guest starred as Sue Sylvester's mother, former Nazi hunter Doris Sylvester, during the second season of "Glee."

Victor Garber guest starred as Will Schuester's father during the very first season of "Glee."

Eve made an appearance as Grace Hitchens, the Jane Addams Academy show choir director, on Season 1 of "Glee."

During Season 4, Kate Hudson played Cassandra July, Rachel's relentless — and often mean — dance teacher at the New York Academy for the Dramatic Arts.
