Amy Schumer and her husband, chef Chris Fischer, have a baby on the way. The comedian had friend Jessica Yellin of News Not Noise announce the news via her Instagram Story on Oct. 22. "I wanted to share some news from our community, maybe it's noise but it's happy noise," Jessica explained. "So I'm not in the business of making voting recommendations, but these are the recommendations of Amy Schumer, one of the most consistent and earliest supporters of News Not Noise. Now read all the way to the bottom, you'll see there's some news down there. Congratulations, Amy." At the end of the list were the words, "I'm pregnant-Amy Schumer." Earlier in the day Amy hinted that she was pregnant by sharing an image of her and her husband's faces pasted over a photo of Prince Harry and expectant Duchess Meghan — Meghan is touching her stomach in the shot. Amy would continue to humorously troll Meghan and compare their pregnancies throughout the week.

New man
Jennifer Garner is back in the dating game: She's been seeing CaliGroup CEO John Miller, Us Weekly confirmed this week. There are conflicting reports about how serious the romance actually is, however. "They are casually dating but it's not serious. He hasn't met her kids," a source told People magazine. But Us Weekly, which broke the dating news, claims the romance has been going on for about six months and is, said a source, getting "serious." "Jen brings out the best in John, and he is the happiest he has probably ever been," another source said. "It's a loving, healthy relationship." Like Jen, who just signed off on her divorce from Ben Affleck, John — a father of two — is also in the final stages of a divorce.

Engaged
Rosie O'Donnell confirmed weeks of speculation on Oct. 22: She's engaged! The former talk-show host told People magazine that she and police officer Elizabeth Rooney are destined to wed. But Rosie, 56, and Elizabeth, 33, aren't rushing to the altar. "This is a long time in the future. We both decided that that would be best," she told the mag. "She lives in Boston now and I live here in New York. It's been a long-distance thing. It's been great. I think she's a wonderful woman." The two have been dating for a year. "She's very much an equal, she's very much her own person and loves what she does," Rosie said. "She's a pretty unbelievable young woman."

Out?
Megyn Kelly's days at NBC are likely over — and it seems that the final straw was her blackface-comments scandal this week. On Oct. 23, the "Megyn Kelly Today" host received huge backlash after she said it was fair game to wear blackface for Halloween "as long as it's a character." The following day, as fervor grew, she apologized. "The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense. I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor. Thank you for listening and for helping me listen too," she said. "It is not okay for that to be part of any costume. Halloween or otherwise. I've never been a PC kind of person, but I do understand the value of being sensitive to our history. Particularly on race and ethnicity." The apology was apparently not enough, and on Oct. 25, the Daily Mail was the first to report that that Megyn — whose live morning show was scrapped by NBC bosses on Oct. 25 and 26 — was out. "Megyn Kelly is done. She is not ever coming back," an NBC source said. "We are just working out timing of the announcement but mark my word — she is gone and will never be seen on NBC live again." Megyn and her longtime talent agency, CAA, also parted ways, and she hired new legal representation. One hangup with NBC: TMZ reported that Megyn still has almost two years left on a three-year contract that pays her $25 million a year.
Issues with marriage
If it were up to Jada Pinkett Smith, she wouldn't be married at all. On her Facebook Watch series, "Red Table Talk," the actress said she felt pressured by her mother to marry Will Smith in 1997 after she got pregnant. "I was so upset that I had to have a wedding. I was so pissed. I went crying down the freakin' aisle getting married," Jada said. "I just knew I never wanted to be married. I just never really agreed with the construct [of marriage]. I just don't agree with it. I still don't. 'Til death do us part is real for me, but all of the rules and all of the ideas. This title 'wife,' the accepted conventional definition of wife in the paradigm — I'm not that."
Third time's the charm
Mena Suvari is a wife again. The actress revealed that she has quietly married her boyfriend of two years, Michael Hope, whom she met while shooting the 2016 Hallmark original movie "I'll Be Home for Christmas" (he worked in the art department). "It's great. I'm really happy. We're happy," she told Us Weekly on Oct. 21. "Third time's a charm!" (This is Mena's third marriage.) Gushing about the ceremony, which took place earlier this year, she said, "It was very intimate. It was very beautiful. I had my closest friends with me. It was very meaningful. After all these years, sort of having ups and downs, it's very nice just being settled, especially at this point in my life." The actress also said babies may be in her future.
Addiction reveal
For years, Jamie Lee Curtis had a secret that she was ashamed to tell — she was addicted to opiates. "I was ahead of the curve of the opiate epidemic," she told People magazine in a cover story released on Oct. 24. "I had a 10-year run, stealing, conniving. No one knew. No one." The actress said she was first prescribed opiates in 1989 after a minor plastic surgery "for my hereditary puffy eyes." She was quickly hooked and tried to get prescription drugs by any means necessary — including stealing them from her own sister. She's now been sober for 20 years. "I'm breaking the cycle that has basically destroyed the lives of generations in my family," she said (dad Tony Curtis was a notorious addict; brother Nicholas died from an overdose in 1994). "Getting sober remains my single greatest accomplishment… bigger than my husband, bigger than both of my children and bigger than any work, success, failure. Anything."
Dealing with depression
Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams revealed this week that she called off her engagement with pastor fiancé Chad Johnson months ago — in fact, she called it off just a few weeks after he popped the question. She soon checked herself into a mental health facility as she struggled to face a mental health struggle. "I thought I was over depression. I thought, 'I'm good!' I've got love, I'm working out," she said. "But I was so angry. The rage built up in me. I did not attempt suicide, but I was questioning [life]." She and Chad have since reconciled and are better than ever. "People fall off the fitness wagon, people fall of the wellness wagon, but I can't fall off the [therapy] wagon. I have to get healed to live this happy life," she said. "It's not just about marrying Chad. I finally found someone to do life with."
Silence broken
On Oct. 24, Robert De Niro and several high-profile politicians and officials were under seize when several mail bomb threats were mailed to them. None of the packages exploded. On Oct. 26, federal authorities arrested a man in Florida. That same day, the acclaimed actor broke his silence about the package sent to him. "I thank God no one's been hurt, and I thank the brave and resourceful security and law enforcement people for protecting us," he said in a statement to TheWrap. "There's something more powerful than bombs, and that's your vote. People MUST vote!"
Serious court matter
This week, "Ray Donovan" star Marion "Pooch" Hall pleaded not guilty to charges of DUI and felony child abuse, charges that stem from an incident earlier in the month in which he allegedly got drunk and let his 2-year-old son drive. During a court hearing, Pooch revealed that he has entered a 60-day residential rehab program. On Oct. 3, Pooch was arrested after fellow drivers saw him letting his toddler son steer the car while sitting on his lap. The alleged incident ended when Pooch's vehicle hit a parked car. TMZ also reported that Pooch blew a 0.25, which is more than three times the legal limit. He was then arrested for DUI and child endangerment. On Oct. 25, a judge told Pooch to continue his rehab program, but, as a condition of bail, the actor was also ordered to attend two Alcoholics Anonymous classes per week and get outpatient treatment.
