"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" stars Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner looked a lot different a decade ago — from their hair and beauty choices to their fashion — back at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. That year, their E! series was up for favorite reality TV show and Kim was nominated for favorite female reality TV star and favorite celebrity Twitter personality, though they went home empty-handed.
The third winner of the Ultimate Choice Award, Britney Spears, dressed to receive her very special honor in a sparkly, form-fitting little black dress by Roberto Cavalli and a pair of Jimmy Choo Gesture sandals. The pop star was also nominated for three other music awards following the release of her sixth album after a turbulent few years.

Kristen Stewart, star of the blockbuster "Twilight" film series at the time, showed up on the red carpet in a spiky Rock and Republic dress, booties from Jerome C. Rousseau and a tousled updo by Adir Abergel of Frederic Fekkai (her hair had recently been chopped for her role as Joan Jett in 2010's "The Runaways"). She took home awards for favorite drama actress in a movie and best movie liplock (with co-star and real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson). "Twilight" also won for favorite romance film that year.
"Twilight" hunks Kellan Lutz, Robert Pattinson (who won for favorite movie actor and "Choice Hottie" that year) and Jackson Rathbone kept things casual in dark pants, button-downs, vests and a suit jacket as they hit the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards in Universal City, California, on Aug. 9, 2009. That night, their film won in 10 of the 11 categories in which it was nominated.
That year's winner for "Choice Hottie" and favorite female summer movie star, Megan Fox, hit the red carpet in a flirty metallic Yves Saint laurent minidress.
Selena Gomez — who won for summer female TV star, summer red carpet fashion icon and celebrity dancer that year — lived up to her style reputation in a sweet lilac Baby Phat dress and shiny silver sandals.
The Jonas Brothers suited up to clean up at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas took home surfboards in categories including favorite TV actors (for their Disney show, "Jonas") and best breakout show, favorite album and summer song. Fans also voted them that year's male red carpet fashion icons!
Lea Michele was a brand-new star when she hit the 2009 Teen Choice Awards red carpet in a one-shoulder yellow minidress by Thread Social and platform heels: "Glee" had debuted just three months earlier.
Decked out in a flirty little Christian Dior number and matching Brian Atwood pumps, "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" star Vanessa Hudgens perfectly nailed the fun vibe of the Teen Choice Awards in 2009. Though she didn't take home any prizes, she did receive three nominations (four, if you count the nod for her poodle Shadow in the celebrity pet category).
Zac Efron was still dating his "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" co-star (and fellow Teen Choice Award best liplock category nominee) Vanessa Hudgens when he arrived on the red carpet wearing a button-down shirt that matched his blue eyes with jeans and Converse sneakers.
One of several celebs nominated for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," Ashley Tisdale, went for a shimmery strapless black-and-periwinkle Used/Unused number in 2009. The Disney star finished off her look with spiky Christian Louboutin pumps and a matching purse and jewelry.
Wearing a black-and-white-striped Louis Vuitton minidress accessorized with bright red Brian Atwood heels and a Nina Ricci clutch, "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester turned heads on the red carpet. She took home the honor for top actress in a TV drama and her show also won for overall TV drama that year.
In a super-short black Marc Jacobs Resort dress with sequined rainbow stripes, black-and-purple heels and an armor-like silver bracelet, Fergie had a busy night. The Black Eyed Peas singer performed a rousing rendition of "I Gotta Feeling" with her band and also presented an award.
Nominated for her performance in "Heroes," Kristen Bell showed up to the Teen Choice Awards in a loose black jumpsuit. She accessorized her classic choice with layered gold and beaded necklaces, strappy metallic sandals and a light green clutch.
Pretty-in-pink Hayden Panettiere wore a ruched Zac Posen dress and matching Christian Louboutin shoes finished off with Bulgari jewelry as she hit the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards in 2009. She snagged a surfboard for favorite TV actress in an action show for her work on "Heroes."
A sunny yellow Herve Leger minidress was the perfect look for Teen Choice Awards guest Amanda Bynes at the late summer ceremony. Bright pink nails and a shiny silver clutch completed the look for the former "What I Like About You" and "The Amanda Show" headliner.
"The Hills" star Audrina Patridge, who attended the show as a guest (her MTV series won favorite reality show that year), combined three happy colors for a playful, feminine look. She went for a deep pink Zuhair Murad minidress, a textured purple clutch and bright turquoise Courtney Crawford pumps. A big, sparkly silver beaded necklace and bracelet completed her outfit.
Cameron Diaz, whose flick "My Sister's Keeper" won for top summer drama film in 2009, accessorized her gray Alexander McQueen dress with bright blue heels and colorful statement jewelry. Co-stars Sofia Vassilieva, in a silky floral romper, and Abigail Breslin, in a bright pink embroidered dress, also joined the party.
"Gilmore Girls" and "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" alum and Teen Choice Awards presenter Alexis Bledel went for a bold jewel-tone look at the 2009 ceremony in a deep blue satin Opening Ceremony dress trimmed with floral netting.
