Award season 2017 has now come to a close! Since all the statuettes have been handed out, it's time to take a look back at the best and worst of the red carpet fashion. First up, one of the most perplexing looks of the Grammy Awards — Katy Perry! Sorry KatyCats, but we were not into this funky Tom Ford creation. A slinky metallic dress on top and a champagne ombre feathered frock on the bottom, this hybrid design left us with more questions than answers. This is the Oscars, Scarlett Johansson! Not a daytime movie premiere! From the casual pink print to the bulky belt at the waist, the dress was not Academy Award-worthy couture. We did, however, enjoy that she embraced the gown's hue with the pink tones in her makeup.

Leave it to Rihanna to blow us away with her Grammys style! We loved her Armani Prive ensemble, which featured a tiny orange halter top and full black skirt. And we loved the way the dress worked around her tattoos — plus how she opted to keep her hair long and wavy.

Such an edgy Oscar dress deserved an equally unique hairstyle, but Dakota Johnson opted to do the exact opposite. The actress wore her hair in a super-casual style — straight and pulled back — which unfortunately made it look flat and dull.

And her makeup was equally flawless. She executed this dark lip perfectly while keeping the rest of her makeup subdued and her short hair straight and simple.
Though she was nominated for Best Actress for her work in "Arrival," Amy Adams still went with her "Nocturnal Animals" director when it came to 2017 Golden Globes fashion. Unfortunately, this Tom Ford gown fell flat for us. The structured and sequined dress was a snooze and reminiscent of many of Amy's past red carpet looks.
