Taylor Swift's 'You Need to Calm Down' video looks an awful lot like Beyonce's 'Party' video, according to fans
Add a Beyonce rip-off claim to the growing din of skeptical responses to Taylor Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" video. Outlets ranging from the New York Times to Vox have already cast editorial side-eye at the celeb cameo-stuffed video, which shows Taylor alternately playing around at a trailer park and chilling on a pool float as she sings into the camera in a hot pink fur. In addition to those outlets' questions about the video's perceived, boastful nature and intrinsic elitism, fans are now suggesting Taylor may have not so subtlely borrowed a visual or two from Beyonce's 2011 video for the hit, "Party." That video shows Beyonce … wearing a fur, chilling in a trailer park and yes, lounging on a pool float. "If Taylor Swift wants people to stop accusing her of ripping off Beyoncé, maybe she should quit ripping off Beyoncé," read one tweet. According to Page Six, the Twitter user was referring to previous critiques that blasted Taylor's drumline-centric Billboard Music Awards performance for copying Beyonce's Coachella concert. "Her whole 'above-ground pool party in a trailer park' vibe cribs a lot of shots from Bey's 'Party' video. This is just one example," the user added. Other Beyhive members quickly agreed and joined in. Page Six also points out, however, that when Bey's fans accused Taylor of stealing ideas from "Formation" for her "Look What You Made Me Do" video, the director shared indications Bey's video had actually mimicked parts of Taylor's "Bad Blood."

For more than a year, Rihanna's fans have been giving her flack on social media for focusing more on fashion than on getting a new album out. Now, the singer and designer has created the most media-appropriate clapback ever and she's happy to sell it to fans, trolls — anyone who has $230 to plunk down for a T-shirt, in fact. According to the Fader, RiRi stocked her Fenty popup in New York City on Tuesday, June 18, with the top, which has the words, "no new music" emblazoned on the back. What it does not say, sadly, is when the much-awaited/apparently reggae influenced/definitely in the works follow-up to 2016's "Anti" will finally be released. Look, when you're the wealthiest female musician in the world, you can afford a little bit 'o snark.

Kylie Jenner accompanies her makeup artist pal to the DMV to 'make him' get his driver's license
There's one more motorist on the road in Los Angeles today, thanks to Kylie Jenner. On Tuesday, June 18, Kylie shared on her Instagram Story that she was "making" her makeup artist and friend, Ariel Tejada "get his f—— driver's license" (via TMZ). Telling followers she'd been helping him study "all day," she asked Ariel if he was scared before they headed out. "A little," he admitted. There was apparently no reason to worry, though. A subsequent post, captioned "yasssss," showed Kylie's elated pal half skipping, half leaping out of the DMV in Los Angeles' Thousand Oaks section. He passed! Enjoy that standstill traffic, buddy.

While juggling her successful Netflix series, "Murder Mystery" and upcoming Apple TV series, "The Morning Show," the insider explains that dating's had to take a back seat to Jen's career lately — though, as she told Harpers Bazaar in May, "When [love] comes knocking, it's going to be welcomed. I'm not like, 'No, I'm done with that.'" Says the People source: "She will be cautious [about dating again]. If something comes into her life, that's fine, but she is not sitting on the edge of her seat. … It's not because she doesn't want to [date], but because there just hasn't been time for her to focus on it." Dwyane Wade on parenting and Pride: It's 'our job' to support each other as a family
In Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union's family, Pride month is a family affair. Dwyane's son from a previous relationship, Zion, 12, attended Miami Pride last year with his siblings and famous stepmom (Dwyane was on the road for work but sent his support via social media). As the NBA star told Variety at Cannes Lion this month, he sees it as a primary, unconditional responsibility to support his four kids emotionally as they grow up and ensure they know he believes in them. "I don't really talk about it much because it's Zion's story to tell," he explained. "I think as a family, we should support each other. That's our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do." Dwyane also said both "accolades" and "negativity" around being there for his kids makes him "uneasy." "I'm doing what every parent has to do. Once you bring kids into this world, you become unselfish," he added. "It's my job to be their role model, to be the voice in my kids' lives, to let them know, 'You can conquer the world. So, go and be your amazing self and we're going to sit back and just love you.'" Gabrielle, who recently welcomed her first child with Dwyane, seems to feel the same way. Speaking to Us Weekly after her family Pride hang, she explained that her mother had taken her to her first Pride parade when she was 8. "We moved to San Francisco, and it's kind of part of being a global citizen," she recalled. "People talk a lot about diversity and inclusion, but they don't actually mean it. In our household, we mean that, and that's why the entire household went to pride."
Mindy Kaling opens up about her support for Aziz Ansari after misconduct allegation
Earlier this year, Mindy Kaling publicly supported her friend, Aziz Ansari, when he returned to the spotlight following a sexual misconduct allegation. Her support — she posted a ticket from his show that she captioned "funniest s— ever" — ended up generating some backlash of its own, with commenters accusing her of not being "a champion of women," among other things. This week, the "Late Night" writer and star opened up about the reaction her post got on the "Last Laugh" podcast and shared why she felt it was important to let Aziz and others know why she supported him to begin with. "The truth is that there was a lot of pickup of some comments when a majority of comments about it were how much they loved Aziz and how excited they were to see him. But as with anything on the internet, three people can seem like an army when it's amplified," Mindy said, clarifying any notions about the response to her post being all negative (via the Daily Beast). "So the truth was that so many people were so excited that Aziz was coming back and doing stand-up and they were saying how excited they were for 'Master of None,'" she continued. Calling Aziz a "friend" and "great comedian," she went on to say that in her view, "one of the most amazing things about that stand-up show is that he really talked about that situation in a really vulnerable way. And it was one of the reasons that I wanted to post about it. Because I thought it was just really bold and honest and admirable." Aziz first spoke about the allegation in February during a stand-up show. "There were times I felt really upset and humiliated and embarrassed, and ultimately I just felt terrible this person felt this way. But you know, after a year, how I feel about it is, I hope it was a step forward. It made me think about a lot, and I hope I've become a better person," he said at the time. For Mindy, that represented committed thought to where, as she put it, he "talked about it in a way where he's learned so much from it in a way that other people don't." She added: "So many young women had such a personal reaction and were writing about, if you support this then you're erasing our story, and I truly have so much empathy. So it's a tricky thing. I don't think that by me supporting my friend who I think is a really wonderful person and a good person that that negates the power of these women's stories."

Rose McGowan is one of dozens of stars involved with this year's Cannes Lions festival this week. While she's there, she's also promoting her upcoming debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, where she'll perform "Planet 9," based on her first album, which she's also set to release soon after years of work. Described on the Fringe Festival's website as "a new world of possibilities" created via "memoir, music, storytelling, projections and performance," Planet 9 is a fictional place Rose invented as a little girl after she moved to the United States from Italy, where, as Page Six reminds us, she was raised in the polygamous Children of God sect (read: cult). For Rose, Planet 9 represents "the antidote to all that is earthbound," a place from which "we can see Earth from a new perspective and learn how to create a liberated, fairer society for ourselves." It's also a more forgiving and open-minded place than the one the actress sees around her in 2019. "It's really hard. Women are trained to be their own worst enemies and others' worst enemies," she told Page Six. "At the hands of women in my industry I've suffered a lot. They were the ones who set me up. They were the ones who said horrible, poisonous things that stuck in my head and had ill effects on my mind." She went on to say she thinks this leads to a dog eat dog mentality. "I think women are trained that there's only one spot for you and everyone has to fight like crazy for that one spot,"she said, "but I always say that table that you want to sit at is an illusion anyway, so start your own table."

When it comes to balancing her career with being a mom to two young boys, Rachel Zoe leans on friends in similar positions, like Jennifer Garner and Jessica Alba. "I have a lot of friends that are moms to boys that have been incredibly helpful," the designer told Us Weekly on Tuesday, June 18. "I ask Jessica Alba. She's definitely someone that I've gone to." Bella Thorne is feeling good again after being stunned by Whoopi Goldberg's comments on "The View" regarding nude photos a hacker was trying to extort the young actress for. Whoopi criticized Bella this week on the show for sharing the pics to begin with, thereby allowing would-be hackers access to them. But Bella's contemporaries including Zendaya, Dove Cameron, Madison Beer, and Logan Paul, soon weighed in to show their support. "When ur friends come out of the woodworks to support u is all u need to be brave. In another post, she thanked Zendaya for reaching out to her from her pres tour. "All u need is support to be brave part two," Bella wrote. "@zendaya called me today to make sure I was ok, we talked a lot about this generation, the one before us as well, and how as women we shouldn't feel bad about ourselves our bodies," she wrote.
