Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at all the bold-faced names who tied the knot this year, starting with this reality star… On Dec. 31, "Queer Eye" grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness revealed on Instagram that he quietly wed earlier this year. "I got married to my best friend & have a loving partner to continue building my life with," he wrote while recapping the highlights from his year. In a slideshow of photos depicting those highlights, he included a shot of himself smiling wide while holding hands with his love, who was later identified as Mark London. (See him here.) On Oct. 29, Meals on Wheels announced that "Saturday Night Live" head writer and "Weekend Update" co-anchor Colin Jost and actress Scarlett Johansson are now husband and wife! Did Emma Stone marry Dave McCary in secret this spring? It appeared so after she was seen wearing a simple gold band rather than her engagement ring on the May 5 episode of Reese Witherspoon's "Shine On" web series. The Oscar winner further stoked wedding speculation when she referenced marriage while chatting with another featured guest on the episode, Dr. Harold Koplewicz. While discussing how anxiety can impact a marriage, the psychiatrist said, "If you marry an anxious man, you're going to have to know me the rest of my life." Replied Emma, "Thankfully, I didn't do that." Emma and the "Saturday Night Live" segment director had been set to wed in Los Angeles in March but reportedly pushed their wedding date due to the coronavirus pandemic. In September, multiple outlets including Page Six confirmed that Emma and Dave did indeed marry.
Princess Beatrice — the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York — married property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on July 17 in a private ceremony at The Royal Chapel of All Saints, a 19th century church located on the same estate as her parents' home, Royal Lodge, in Windsor, England. The news came as a surprise as the couple of nearly two years had not announced a new wedding date after the coronavirus pandemic forced them to alter then cancel their original plans to marry in late May at St. James's Palace in London with a reception to follow in the gardens at Buckingham Palace. According to reports, just 20 people — including the bride's grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and the groom's young son from a previous relationship — were in attendance, and all government guidelines relating to COVID-19 safety were followed.
Musician Jordan McGraw, the son of TV therapist Dr. Phil McGraw, married former "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills" star Morgan Stewart on Dec. 9, they announced a day later on Instagram as they shared several beautiful wedding photos. The couple — whose at-home nuptials appear to have been attended by only immediate family members due to the coronavirus pandemic — announced in August that they were expecting their first child together.
On Aug. 31 — just a few months after finalizing her divorce from her second husband — comedy star Niecy Nash took to Instagram to reveal that she'd wed for the third time. "Mrs. Carol Denise Betts," the actress, who was born Carol Denise Ensley, captioned a photo of herself and her new wife, singer-songwriter Jessica Betts. Niecy, who effectively came out at the same time she announced her marriage to a woman, later told People magazine her union "has absolutely nothing to do with gender" and "everything to do with [Jessica's] soul."
Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark — who was Princess Diana's godson — and longtime love Nina Nastassja Flohr married in a simple civil ceremony in St. Moritz, Switzerland, on Dec. 12. Only their fathers — King Konstantin and billionaire VistaJet entrepreneur Thomas Flohr — were on hand when the couple, who announced their engagement in September, exchanged vows.
Comedy actor and writer Nick Kroll revealed on Instagram on Nov. 26 that he and model-turned-landscape artist Lily Kwong had quietly wed earlier in the month. The marriage reveal comes on the heels of more happy news: Lily — the cousin of designer Joseph Altuzarra — is pregnant with her and Nick's first child.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Larry David married his girlfriend of three years, producer Ashley Underwood, in Southern California on Oct. 7, People magazine reported. The pair met in 2017 when they were seated together at mutual friend Sacha Baron Cohen's birthday party.
Conservationist and TV host Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell went ahead with their nuptials on March 25 despite the coronavirus pandemic. The couple wed at Australia Zoo with just a handful of people — including her mom, Terri Irwin, and brother, Robert Irwin, present. Bindi took to Instagram to share the happy news. "We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We've planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn't have guests at our wedding," the star wrote, adding, "This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe." The only daughter of late "Crocodile Hunter" star Steve Irwin dated the American former professional wakeboarder, who now works at her family's zoo, for six years before getting engaged on Bindi's birthday in 2019.
David Harbour and Lily Allen married in Las Vegas on Sept. 7 in a ceremony conducted by an Elvis impersonator. "In a wedding officiated by the king himself, the people's princess wed her devoted, low born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away in the midst of a global pandemic. Refreshments were served at a small reception following," the "Stranger Things" actor captioned a slideshow of photos from their wedding day, including a pic of himself, the British singer and her two daughters from a previous marriage enjoying In-N-Out Burger post-ceremony.
Sean Penn married actress Leila George on July 30, he confirmed days later. "We did a COVID wedding," the actor-activist told late night host Seth Meyers. "By that I mean it was a county commissioner on Zoom, we were at the house, my two children and her brother [were there], and we did it that way." This is Sean's third marriage — he was previously wed to Madonna and Robin Wright — and the first for Leila, whose parents are actors Vincent D'Onofrio and Greta Scacchi. The couple, who have nearly 32 years between them, went public with their romance in 2016.
Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie eloped at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, on June 2. The pair had planned to tie the knot in Hawaii in April but postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. "It was beautiful," the actor told People magazine of their scaled-back nuptials, which was witnessed by only their pastor and served as their "traditional" religious ceremony. Dennis told "Extra" that he and Laura, a doctoral student who's 39 years his junior, had a "Zoom civil ceremony" on June 18 after they obtained a marriage license.
After the coronavirus pandemic forced them to postpone plans to wed in Italy, former "Vanderpump Rules" star Stassi Schroeder married Beau Clark in a super-casual ceremony in Los Angeles on Oct. 7, she confirmed in an Instagram post. Surprise! On June 18, Raven-Symoné revealed on Instagram that she had recently married Miranda Maday. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph published on Oct. 20, "House" and "Chicago Fire" star Jesse Spencer revealed that he married research scientist Kali Woodruff — whom he's reportedly been with since 2014 — in her hometown of Neptune Beach, Florida, on June 27. "What a silver lining to 2020. She's smart, pretty and way ahead of her years," he gushed, as reported by Daily Mail Australia. "We're very happy. She is my port in every storm, and we're already excited to be moving on to the next phase of our lives."
After a year-long engagement, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Cynthia Bailey married Mike Hill at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Georgia, on Oct. 10. The couple celebrated with 250 guests including the bride's "RHOA" co-stars Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams.
Model Toni Garrn married actor Alex Pettyfer in her hometown of Hamburg, Germany, on Oct. 2. They started dating in early 2019 and got engaged on Christmas Eve the same year.

The British actress took to Instagram on Sept. 14 to announce that she and former "Harlots" co-star Ziggy Heath had wed in London two days earlier. "[Love] wins every time. A weekend of dreams. Brittany Snow is a married woman! The star wed beau Tyler Stanaland in Malibu on March 14. Comedian Kathy Griffin surprised fans when she wed longtime boyfriend Randy Bick just after midnight on New Year's Day 2020. The comedian and her groom took to social media late on New Year's Eve 2019 to announce their plan to marry a few hours later. They shared video of the ceremony the next day and revealed that comedy legend Lily Tomlin officiated the 14-minute ceremony. The white Diane Von Furstenberg gown Kathy chose for her big night was the same dress she wore on her first date with Randy back in 2011. "We are in love and we cannot stop laughing," Kathy tweeted.
In May, Dwight Yoakam's publicist confirmed in a statement that the music star and his girlfriend of a decade, Emily Joyce, secretly tied the knot at St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica, California, in March. They exchanged vows in front of "less than 10 attendees" who were "seated at least six feet from one another" to adhere to social-distancing guidelines issued due to the coronavirus pandemic. Stand-up comedian Fortune Feimster, who many fans know from "The Mindy Project," married longtime partner Jacquelyn Smith in Malibu on Oct. 23. People magazine reported that they exchanged vows at a rented house overlooking the ocean and streamed the ceremony over Zoom for friends and family members watching from home, though they were joined in person by "a couple of good friends" plus their Pomeranian pup, who was their ring bearer. The stand-up comedian later confirmed the happy news on Instagram, captioning a wedding photo, "We got married! Jax and I decided to forgo the big wedding we planned to have due to the pandemic and decided fairly last minute to do a tiny ceremony on the beach. On Sept. 21, Russian model Natalia Vodianova took to Instagram to share that she'd just married her partner of more than a decade, Berluti CEO Antoine Arnault, at a registry office in Paris. "OUI!" she captioned a slideshow of an image and a video from their wedding day.
Former "The Bachelor" contestant Courtney Robertson — who famously won season 16 of the show before splitting from fiancé Ben Flajnik — married Humberto Preciado on Oct. 16 in Sedona, Arizona, People magazine reported. On Aug. 1, country singer-songwriter Luke Combs married longtime girlfriend Nicole Hocking in Florida. "Yesterday was the best day of my life. I got to marry my best friend. On July 20, Archduchess of Austria and Royal Princess of Hungary, Bohemia and Croatia Eleonore von Habsburg — who's worked as a model and walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana — married Belgian Formula E race car driver Jérôme d'Ambrosio at a registry office in Monaco. The royal bride wore an off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress for the civil ceremony, which was attended by only a few family members due to the coronavirus pandemic. The newlyweds, who reportedly got engaged in early 2019 after a few years of dating, plan to have a larger church ceremony when it's safer.
Prince Harry's former love, "Tulip Fever" actress Cressida Bonas (right), and estate agent Harry Wentworth-Stanley (left) married in front of 30 guests at Cowdray Park at Cowdray Estate in Midhurst, England, during the weekend of July 25, MailOnline reported. The pair announced their engagement in August 2019.
Frankie Muniz made things official in 2020! The actor wed Paige Price on Feb. 21 in a small wedding, though the two had actually eloped last October, and got engaged in late 2018. The February date held significance for the couple — they met four years earlier on that exact day.

According to TMZ, they first dated back in the late '80s and "remained flirty" over the years, but got back in contact in late 2019. Unfortunately by Feb. 6, the honeymoon was over. The actress gave a statement to People magazine, explaining, "Jon and I have been friends for a very long time. He has been nothing but nice to me and, for that, I love him. Jon opened up his heart and home to me, has helped me through sad times, and I only have kind words to say about him. We remain friends."
Tim Tebow married girlfriend Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Miss Universe 2017, on Jan. 20. The couple exchanged vows in Cape Town, South Africa, where Nel-Peters hails from, a year after getting engaged.

Vanessa Morgan and her baseball player beau Michael Kopech got hitched on Jan. 4 in Homestead, Florida. Brandon Jenner and his girlfriend of a year, Cayley Stoker, tied the knot on Jan. 26. Cayley, who was pregnant with their twins at the time, and Brandon wed at a courthouse in Santa Barbara, Calif., and welcomed their new arrivals a month later.
Former "Parenthood" star Sarah Ramos took to Instagram on Dec. 6 to reveal that she and "Ingrid Goes West" writer-director Matt Spicer got married at Las Vegas's famed A Little White Wedding Chapel back on Oct. 25. "Love is a wild thing," she captioned a slideshow of super-fun wedding day photos.

"Today I married the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate," CeCe captioned a slideshow of photos from their ceremony, which they livestreamed so loved ones could watch it from home amid the coronavirus pandemic. "Our hearts were just a little heavy when we had to cancel our wedding plans but we are so happy to be blessed. Former "Entertainment Tonight" host Carly Steel married Snapchat Vice President of Product Jacob Andreou in front of eight family members in late June, People magazine confirmed. "On Saturday June 27 2020 I became the luckiest girl in the world when I married my best friend and soulmate @jacobandreou in a magical fairytale ceremony at the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church on Rodeo Drive surrounded by immediate family, followed by an intimate dinner at our house. On Oct. 15, Lesley Cook indicated on Instagram that she and "The Real Housewives of Orange County" alum David Beador (Shannon Beador's ex-husband) had recently gotten married. Page Six reported that she changed her name on her private account to Lesley Beador, updated her bio to describe herself as a "wife" and captioned a photo with the former reality star, "You are the most supportive, kind, adventurous, loving and patient man. Grateful to have found you. Proud to be your wife." The couple got engaged in January and are expecting a baby girl.
Princess Raiyah of Jordan — the youngest daughter of Queen Noor and the late King Hussein of Jordan — married British journalist Ned Donovan, the grandson of author Roald Dahl, in a small, socially distanced ceremony in Britain on July 7. The bride announced the happy news and shared a few photos on Twitter. "Thank you all for your kind messages on our wedding! While it was originally planned for April in Jordan, the [coronavirus] pandemic derailed those plans and it was safer for my husband's family to hold it in the UK. Roxy Sowlaty and longtime love Nicolas Bijan took to Instagram on Oct. 18 to announce that they'd married at their home in Beverly Hills that weekend. "Finally and officially Mrs. Bijan. love you forever @nicolasbijan," the "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills" alum captioned a wedding photo. The couple got engaged in late 2018.
On Oct. 23, "The Challenge" star Tori Hall married lawyer Dusty Gwinn in Asheville, North Carolina, she confirmed on Instagram with a wedding-day selfie with her new husband. The couple started dating in January and got engaged in September. Tori was previously married to fellow "The Challenge" star Brad Fiorenza.
On July 25, "Schitt's Creek" actor Noah Reid married Clare Stone. Noah shared a slideshow of photos from their big day on Instagram just over a month later. "A Wedding by Clare and Noah 25.07.2020," he captioned the pics. The couple got engaged in August 2018.
Hallmark Channel star Taylor Cole, an alum of "The Originals" and "Heroes," married film producer Cameron Larson in a small ceremony on the shores of Lake Tahoe on June 20. The duo originally planned to exchange vows in front of more than 100 guests at Tahoe Beach Club, but they scaled back their nuptials due to the coronavirus pandemic and livestreamed it for friends and family. The bride — who met her groom on the set of a Hallmark movie! — wore her phone on a band around her arm so that her father could virtually walk her down the aisle, reported People magazine, which has photos from the nuptials.
DJ Mustard and Chanel Thierry tied the knot on Oct. 10. The couple, who got engaged two years ago, celebrated with a small outdoor reception for a few friends and family members. "Even tho our actual wedding has been postponed until next year due to covid, we still wanted to keep our wedding date because it was special. We legally got married on 10.10.20 and had a small intimate dinner. Thank you to everyone who has wished us congratulations and prayed for our union," the bride captioned a slideshow of wedding photos.
"Divorce Court" star Judge Faith Jenkins got hitched on March 8 in Los Angeles. She wed Grammy-nominated R&B singer Kenny Lattimore in a lavish ceremony that included 275 attendees. One fun fact: Stevie Wonder sang "You and I" as Faith walked down the aisle! The two first announced their engagement last September.
Mental health advocate Zak Williams — the oldest son of the late Robin Williams — married Olivia June, founder and CEO of tech company VINA, at the Paramour Estate in Los Angeles on Oct. 10. "Impractical Jokers" star James Murray married his girlfriend of two years, Melyssa Davies, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 25. Their wedding plans changed often due to the coronavirus pandemic, they told People magazine, explaining, "We had four different wedding lists and four different plans, and one version of it was just our bridal party in our backyard, at the most extreme." Ultimately, they settled on a venue on Lake Nockamixon that allowed them to hold their ceremony outside.
Australian singer-songwriter Betty Who (real name: Jessica Newham) revealed in a Sept. 9 interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that after a nearly three-year engagement, she and Zak Cassar had recently married. "We have been waiting to have a big wedding because we want to do it right and do it fancy," she said. "I just have to be so much more rich to throw a fierce fabulous wedding that I can actually afford. … But we just felt like it was the right thing to just lock it down. So if we want to travel, we're together, we have each other's rights and everything. We just want to feel safe and know that we can take care of each other."
On July 25, music star Tove Lo took to her Instagram Story to reveal that she and Charlie Twaddle had recently married. "Oops!" she captioned a selfie with her new husband. Two days later, she shared several more photos from their nuptials. "WHAT!? I'm a wifey!!! I never thought I would get married but then I met you Charlie. Model Lucky Blue Smith is off the market! He wed fellow model Nara Pellman on Feb 21, in a beach ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif. He broke the news on Instagram, sharing a video and announcing, "I married my best friend today." They'd only recently alluded to an engagement the month before.
"When Calls the Heart" actor Daniel Lissing revealed to "Entertainment Tonight" in an interview that appeared online on June 5 that he secretly married his longtime love, Nadia, in California earlier this year. "It was a pretty fast and easy decision to make. When you've met your 'one,' you just want to start your married life together as soon as possible," the actor said of foregoing plans to have a big wedding in Bali in favor of a "very small and sweet service" with just two pals who served as witnesses. "We kept it all very simple," he said, adding that it was their "favorite moment ever." They still plan to have a bigger wedding for loved in Bali in 2021 when it's safe to do so.
On April 4, "The Biggest Loser" trainer Erica Lugo and Danny McGeady, exchanged vows in front of their three kids from previous relationships in a ceremony digitally officiated by "The Biggest Loser" contestant and attorney Kristi McCart that they livestreamed over Zoom and Instagram for 25 digital "guests" including family members, friends and the bride's "The Biggest Loser" co-stars. Us Weekly reported that the second wedding took place at the same venue where they initially planned to tie the knot back in April.

According to People magazine, which has exclusive wedding photos, the couple — who got engaged in October 2019 in celebration of Emily's 21st birthday — exchanged their vows at the stunning Marblegate Farm in Friendsville, Tennessee. "The fall season has always been a favorite of ours, especially with growing up so close to the Smoky Mountains," Emily said. "We always make trips to the mountains to see the gorgeous colors of the leaves before they fall, so when we were picking our wedding date and colors, we knew we wanted to pull inspiration from the beautiful colors of fall in East Tennessee."
Oct. 12 was the day Parmalee drummer Scott Thomas married Lexia Chamryk. The ceremony took place in Las Vegas and was "minimal," the couple told People magazine.
