Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the celebrities who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-October 2018, starting with the young lovers at the center of the year's biggest whirlwind romance: On Oct. 14, TMZ reported that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, who were first linked in May and got engaged just weeks later, called it quits after mutually realizing that "it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off." According to the webloid, "things are over romantically," but the pair "still have love for each other" and "aren't ruling out the possibility of anything in the future." On Oct. 15, TMZ reported that Pete and Ariana's relationship hit the skids after her ex, Mac Miller, died unexpectedly of an apparent drug overdose in September. According to the website, the singer and the "Saturday Night Live" star "hit a life-changing fork in the road" following Mac's death — "the tipping point that led to their split." TMZ sources say that Ariana has been "an emotional wreck" and in "an incredibly dark place" since the rapper died. "In the aftermath of Mac's death, our sources say Ariana realized a couple of things — she couldn't be fully invested in her relationship with Pete, and she had rushed into a looming marriage way too fast by getting engaged," wrote TMZ, adding that "nothing seemed amiss" when Ariana accompanied Pete to "SNL" on Oct. 13. "Something clearly snapped Sunday," TMZ concluded. Meanwhile, The Sun Online reported that "Ariana dumped Pete" because "they'd been rowing for two weeks about Pete's lack of support after Mac's death." Said a source, "Ariana has been devastated and Pete couldn't handle it. She realized she needs a grown-up who can support her and that's not him." A People magazine source said that the couple called time on their relationship because it was simply "way too much too soon" and that the breakup is "not shocking to anyone." On Oct. 16, TMZ reported that Ariana gave her $93,000 engagement ring back to Pete. She's reportedly keeping the teacup pig they adopted together — as well as the $16 million New York City apartment they shared. Now keep reading for more of the week's biggest celeb love life updates…

Is there trouble in paradise for Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk? According to Page Six, the duo looked miserable during an Oct. 9 meal at a New York City restaurant: "They were not looking happy," said a witness. "They barely spoke to each other at the start of the meal. Halfway through, she started looking off to the side and he was moody." Two days later, Page Six published quotes from an insider who said that the pair are "miserable together" and "have been for months." Said the source, "He doesn't drink and is into spirituality. She wants to go out." The insider added that the model recently traveled to Ibiza by herself to attend a party thrown by a pair of celebrity photographers and that everyone "in that big Russian model community" is buzzing about the rift in her relationship with the Oscar nominee. Another source, however, told Page Six that the rift rumors are "not true." According to yet another Page Six spy, Bradley and Irina "looked cozy and happy" during an Oct. 11 outing to a NYC restaurant. The actor-director's "A Star Is Born" press tour may be to blame for the perceived trouble: "He hates doing press, so he's been a bit of a pill," a source told Page Six.
People magazine reported on Oct. 17 that Diddy and longtime love Cassie, who were first linked in 2007 but didn't confirm their relationship until 2012, called it quits "months ago." Said a source, "The decision was amicable and they remain friends. … Cassie is going to focus on her music and acting career." Her rep confirmed the breakup to the celebrity news site lovebscott.com, saying, "They are indeed no longer together and haven't been for months." The blog also reported that the rap mogul has been seeing Jocelyn Chew, adding that his relationship with the 26-year-old model overlapped with his relationship with Cassie.
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 16 that Jenna Dewan "is seeing someone new" and that her new man isn't "well-known." On Oct. 10, multiple media outlets reported that the dancer-actress' ex-husband, Channing Tatum, has moved on from their marriage with Jessie J.
On Oct. 11, In Touch Weekly issued a report (that should be taken with a grain of salt) claiming that Khloe Kardashian cheated on Tristan Thompson with an ex-boyfriend, rapper French Montana. "They hooked up as early as several months ago," said a source. "Plain and simple, it was payback time." Continued the alleged insider, "She was hurting and lonely, so she turned to French for comfort. … Did it make her feel better that she was also getting even with Tristan? Of course it did. It's like that old saying: What's good for the goose…" The source also said that Khloe's sisters Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian knew about the hookup with French and "completely supported it." Kim reportedly told Khloe that given Tristan's bad behavior, the new mom should be "free to do whatever the hell she wants." Meanwhile, there have been conflicting reports about whether or not Khloe will move back to Cleveland to be closer to her beau during basketball season.
Carrie Ann Inaba revealed on the Oct. 16 episode of "The Talk" that she once dated John Stamos. "When I was a Fly Girl [on "In Living Color"], the dreamiest thing happened. Somebody was like, 'Somebody wants to meet you across the room.' The room parted and on the other side of the room was John Stamos," she said, adding that she and the "Full House" star went on to date "for a little while." Said the "Dancing with the Stars" judge, "I have to tell you, he's the loveliest human being in the whole world. … It didn't quite work out because I was not quite ready for somebody as good as John Stamos in my life at that moment. … And so I pushed him away, and then I was like, 'Uh oh, that wasn't a good idea.' … So I went back to his house and I was outside on his driveway with a little note in his mailbox." But alas, she and the actor "didn't get back together." There's no bad blood between them now though: "Later on, he came to 'Dancing with the Stars' and he's so cool because he knew I was embarrassed and he was performing and he came right up to me and said, 'I'm so happy for your success. I wish you all the best. It's great to see you,'" said Carrie.
During an interview with Glamour that hit the Internet on Oct. 9, Mandy Moore opened up about her six-year marriage to Ryan Adams, calling it "not the smartest decision" and saying that she "didn't choose the right person." The singer-actress went on to say that she felt "spiritually and fundamentally stuck" before they divorced. "I don't feel guilty for it. I don't fault myself for it," she said. "When people said, 'I'm sorry,' I was like, 'No. Sorry would have been had I stayed in a very unhealthy situation.' I didn't. I found my way out. And when I did, things opened back up again." Her ex-husband caught wind of her comments on Twitter — and he was not pleased. "She didn't like the Melvins or BladeRunner. Doomed from the start… If only I could remember the start lol," he tweeted on Oct. 10. "When someone told me we got married I thought they were joking. Then I realized how many painkillers I was taking. Honestly there weren't enough to numb the shock. Gollygooops," he followed up in a since-deleted tweet. When a follower called his tweets about Mandy "savage," Ryan replied, "Sometimes you get stuck to the spiritual equivalent of a soggy piece of cardboard. But it rains on net-a-porter everyday when you're trapped inside yourself … Take the money … I'll take my pride, any day." When another follower tweeted that the musician likely wrote many songs about his ex, he responded, "There's not actually a single song about her. Like not one. Fact." After several more troubling tweets, Ryan revealed that he's "speaking with a grief/ crisis counsellor" and dealing with "depression, anxiety/ panic attacks & grief." On Oct. 11, he apologized for his remarks about his ex-wife. "I was trying to be funny. But I have and will always choose to remember the amazing moments. It isn't classy or ok [to] lessen what was. I am happy for everyone and doing my best," he tweeted.
Elizabeth Rooney seemingly confirmed that she and Rosie O'Donnell are engaged when she updated her Instagram bio with two simple characters: the letter R and the engagement ring emoji. Rumors that the actress and the 33-year-old Massachusetts policewoman were set to wed first kicked off on Oct. 8.
TMZ reported on Oct. 16 that more than a year after announcing their plans to call it quits following eight years of marriage, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris signed the paperwork to finalize their divorce. The duo, who reportedly have a prenup, will share joint custody of their son, Jack. According to the webloid, Anna's lawyer asked a private judge to take over the case on Oct. 15. (Private judges speed things along much faster than the clunky court system when it comes to divorce.)
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 16 that Chloe Bennet and Logan Paul are taking a break from their relationship — which the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star just confirmed in mid-July. "They are broken up and not together right now, but there's been a lot of back and forth throughout their relationship," said a source. "So when the dust settles, it's possible that they will get back together." Just Jared, meanwhile, classified the breakup, which reportedly took place more than a month ago, as "amicable." Said one source, "Logan and Chloe had a very fun and strange dynamic that honestly worked really well for a while. When it was just the two of them, there was no one else in the room." Said a second source, "Chloe and Logan weirdly worked and they still very much love each other but their lives aren't compatible right now. They're taking time to just focus on themselves."
On Oct. 14, Page Six reported that Stacey Dash secretly married lawyer Jeffrey Marty in Florida on April 6 — just 10 days after they first met! "They wanted it on the D-L," the "Clueless" star's manager told Page Six, which noted that the rep "couldn't answer how or when they met or why the wedding was so secret." The outlet also noted that the actress and political commentator lives in Los Angeles, while the lawyer calls Miami home.
Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Roger Mathews celebrated their third wedding anniversary on Oct. 13 — even though the "Jersey Shore" star filed for divorce in mid-September. The father of two took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and his estranged missus holding glasses of wine during a white-tablecloth dinner, which he captioned, "Rome wasn't built in a day." He also shared a video of himself surprising JWoww with a horse-drawn carriage. "Happy anniversary," he tells her in the clip as she climbs into the carriage. He then hands over a bouquet of flowers. Roger previously vowed to win back the reality star.
In her new memoir, "This Will Only Hurt a Little," Busy Philipps opens up about a rough patch in her relationship with husband Marc Silverstein — during which she had an emotional affair with another man. "There was a man I was friends with, another dad. We'd been having lunch and stuff. Texting. Talking on the phone a lot," she wrote (according to People.com). "Honestly, I had a crush on him. I like him. Maybe I even loved him? He clearly liked me too." The actress went on to detail how bestie Michelle Williams convinced her to give her marriage another shot, saying, "It would be really awful for two years and then you would find a new normal but honestly, if you can keep your family intact, I think you should do it." Busy's therapist also encouraged her to stay with her hubby, saying, "Listen. Divorce f—- up children. It just does." Ultimately, the duo repaired their relationship with the help of counseling. "This time, Marc got his own therapist. And we started to work through it. But I also kept talking to my emotional boyfriend (for lack of a better term). I know. That part is so s—–. I'm sorry. I really am. I really truly am," wrote the mother of two, who celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary in 2017.

The wedding party included the bride's two brothers, singer-songwriter Taylor Phillips and the guitarist from the groom's band.
During an Oct. 13 chat with People magazine, La La Anthony dished on reconciling with husband Carmelo Anthony following their 2017 separation. "We're good. I mean, we've been together for a really long time so we're figuring out how to make it work for what is best for [our 11-year-old son] Kiyan and what is best for us," she said. The duo, whom People spied making out on the 13th, sparked reconciliation rumors in mid-September.
During an Oct. 12 appearance on "The Tonight Show," Meghan Trainor revealed that she and her fiancé, Daryl Sabara, have set a date for their upcoming nuptials. Though she didn't give up the exact date, she confirmed that they'll tie the knot in the winter "so I don't sweat." She also dished on why she hasn't sent out invitations yet, calling the process "a lot of work." Said the singer, "I'm tired! I don't wanna pick out a card! And what if they don't get it in the mail? Who checks their mail? They always check their texts." Added Meghan, "My problem is I'm not sending out invites because … I'm texting people and I keep accidentally hanging out with friends and being like, 'Yo, you wanna see me get married?' And then I invite them, and then I'm like, 'Oh no, why did I invite these people?'"
Meanwhile, Mike Sorrentino took to Instagram on Oct. 12 to announce that he and longtime love Lauren Pesce will tie the knot on Nov. 1, 2018 — before he starts his eight-month prison sentence for tax evasion. "#Thehitchuation is happening November 1st, 2018. I will be marrying @lauren_pesce My rock , my best friend, my better half & my soul mate . You are my everything & I am so excited to call you Mrs Situation 👰 #gymtanlaurens," The Situation captioned a photo of his fiancée pecking him on the cheek.
In other upcoming nuptials news, Cheryl Burke told Us Weekly on Oct. 15 that she and her fiancé, Matthew Lawrence, "don't plan on getting married until 2019" because she's "really bad at multitasking." After joking that she wants to have a destination wedding so that fewer people can attend, the "Dancing With the Stars" professional confirmed that her ballroom co-stars will be invited to her nuptials. "Yes, of course. … I mean, this is my family," she said. "Actually, I did meet Matt here, in this ballroom, back in Season 3 when his brother [Joey Lawrence] introduced me to him. So of course, I have to invite them." Fortunately, Matthew understands Cheryl's busy "DWTS" schedule: "That's why we get along and we love each other so much," she said. "I love him for his compassion for what I do and vice versa. He's in the business, so he gets it. … We hang out, we eat, we just talk and catch up because I haven't seen him in like 15, 16 hours."
Perla Ferrar celebrated the official end of her marriage to Slash by throwing a massive divorce party at her home in Los Angeles on Oct. 13. According to TMZ, guests dressed up as their favorite divorcees, with the hostess wearing a Zsa Zsa Gabor costume. Slash and Perla's son, London, reportedly went as Tommy Lee. He and his band, Classless Act, performed during the bash, where guests also enjoyed a special cake with the words "Happy New Beginnings Perla" scrawled across the top and specialty divorce-themed cocktails like the Bourbon Split, Sweet Revenge, Bitter Revenge and Aloe-mony Rita. On Oct. 15, TMZ reported that Slash banned his ex from attending his Oct. 16 concert in Hollywood. Classless Act was on the bill as an opener and Perla hoped to be on hand to watch her son perform. "Can't wait to see my baby boy London open for his father at this historical event tomorrow night! #icouldntbemoreproud," she captioned an image promoting the concert on Instagram. It's unclear whether or not she ultimately made it in.
Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson — who met and fell in love on Season 19 of "Big Brother" in 2017 and won the 30th season of "The Amazing Race" in early 2018 — tied the knot in Malibu on Oct. 14. According to Us Weekly, the groom's daughter from a previous relationship served as the flower girl while "The Bachelor" alum Vanessa Grimaldi served as a bridesmaid. Several of their "Big Brother" housemates and "The Amazing Race" competitors were also on hand during the nuptials. On Oct. 5, the duo announced that they're expecting their first child together, a little girl.
On Oct. 15, the same day Jordan Kimball made a guest appearance on "Dancing With the Stars," a rep for his ex-fiancée, Jenna Cooper, released a statement addressing the text messages RealitySteve published in September in which the "Bachelor in Paradise" alum purportedly tells a man she's dating that her relationship with her co-star — to whom she got engaged on the season finale of "BiP" — is fake. "A comprehensive forensic examination of Jenna's devices by an independent third-party expert has definitely confirmed none of the text messages in question came from Jenna's phone," her rep told Us Weekly. "Given the conclusive findings of the forensic report, Jenna's team is considering all options available to Jenna relating to the fraudulent texts." The rep then took aim at Jenna's ex: "After the cameras stopped rolling, Jordan's demeanor toward Jenna changed dramatically. He let it be known there was only room for one celebrity in the relationship, he was more successful and famous than her, she would never make as much money as him or amount to anything in life," the statement continued. "She was belittled and made to feel insignificant and worthless. He continues to disparage her to this day. As painful as this has been for Jenna, she is glad he showed his true colors before they were married and began building a life together." Earlier this month, Jenna's lawyer accused Jordan of fabricating the text messages — which he denied. On Oct. 13, he told Us that he and Jenna had put their issues "behind us." Said the reality star, "I no longer feel I need to defend myself. It is what it is." Jordan talked to Us again on Oct. 15 — after Jenna's rep released the statement. "I'm just gonna say the timing of something today was very odd," he said. "And that's all I can say." As for the current state of his love life, "I have no dating apps downloaded. I think I'm going to do this organically and if it's meant to be, it's meant to be," he told Us, adding that he hasn't dated since breaking up with Jenna but is "very excited to open my heart up again." He continued, "You just have to let that go, let it be the situation it was and then move forward."
During an interview with Cosmopolitan that hit the Internet on Oct. 10, Nikki Bella claims that she "legally" can't say the name of her ex-fiancé, John Cena. (It's unclear whether or not she was joking.) "We're both at the point that we just don't want to be talked about at all together anymore," she said of her ex. "We don't want our breakup to define us or interfere with our work. And that was happening for a while. … I don't want my relationship to define who I am, as a woman … and to take away all the hard work that I've ever done in my career. … I think for a man, it's different. I feel like, if anything, the woman gets blamed for what happens, for taking away from what they do. But I get all my work taken away because of that. I don't know, I feel like sometimes there's a double standard and I really have felt that. And it's been really, really hard." She also addressed the rumors that their breakup is a publicity stunt: "When everyone was saying what I was going through was fake for ratings and all that, and when you're really going through it, it's like you're just, in my heartache you're literally just knifing it and just churning it," she said. "Going through all that, I don't ever want to do it again. … It scares me to ever have another public relationship."
Jen Harley took to her Instagram Story on Oct. 16 to address her volatile relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, saying that his show, "Jersey Shore," has been "the route to all our problems" and that they currently "have no plans on getting married." When a fan asked if she's only with the reality star for his money, she replied, "Let me be clear I had my own money owned my house cars etc. before Ron … I've never been broke or needed to live off of someone ever. I'm with him because I love him and we have a connection that most people do not have and it sucks you guys do not get to see it on JS but it's there and it's real and I do believe he's my soulmate." At the bottom of her text-post, she added a sticker reading, "I love you like Kanye loves Kanye." She went on to deny dragging Ronnie behind her car during a particularly nasty June fight: "Do you guys think I hooked him up and dragged him down the street lmao … Whoever first reported this story made that s— up and everyone RAN with it and it got DRAGGED out," she wrote.
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 16 that in new divorce documents, Shannon Beador and David Beador make wildly dissimilar claims about how much money they each make per month. Kelly Dodd said of her co-star, "The wind hits her one way and she wants to," to which Vicki fired back, "Oh, you got that right!" Later, she compared her relationship with her current beau to the one she had with ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers. "I fell in love with a bad guy who was a really, really bad guy," said the reality star. "I didn't know he was a bad guy until the end, and then I got my heart broken. … [Then] I met this incredible man, and now he's really nice to me. I don't want him to break my heart. I love him so. I just don't want anything to go wrong. I'm a little insecure about it. I'm doing my very best." Continued Vicki, "I don't think I could do anything that would make [Steve] upset — except that I'm kind of a little possessive over him. … But you never know what the other person is thinking."
Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams took to Instagram on Oct. 15 to celebrate their one-year anniversary. "A year ago I impatiently asked @wellsadams 'when are you gonna ask me to be your girlfriend?!' Thank you for being the @stevehowey To my @katehudson In #bridewars … Now, let's get tan again and drink all the rosé," the "Modern Family" star captioned a photo of herself and her boyfriend enthusiastically posing with a bottle of rosé. Meanwhile, Wells posted a slideshow of photos of himself and the actress goofing off in a car. "A couple hours after we took these pics, @sarahhyland said 'when are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend.' I said, 'right now.' I then doubled down and said 'I'm falling in love with you.' "It's just a different responsibility, it's a different life than someone that's single," the "Teen Mom 2" star said of dating a man with a child of his own. "He's a good dad … [and] an all-around good person," she added. That doesn't mean that the mother of three is ready to take things to the next level just yet though. "The goal is just to learn [about] each other," she said. "Even today, seven to eight months in, I'm not rushing anything. I just want to enjoy the time now."
Holland Taylor opened up about her relationship with Sarah Paulson during an Oct. 15 interview with Us Weekly. "We have so little time together," she lamented. "My work schedule is fairly complicated; hers is unbelievable. I mean, she hasn't even had a day off." The actress went on to say how she and the "American Horror Story" star, who's more than 30 years her junior, like to spend the little time they do have together: "We like to do what a lot of people do," she said. "We don't have much time at home. We watch television, we talk, we read for a few minutes here and there. It's hard to grasp normal life out of such a schedule like hers is, but her career has soared this year and she knows she has to do it while it is soaring. She knows she has to do everything. She can't pass things by during this period, so she's doing great."

"I think when Kristen walked away I said, 'Now, Rob, I want you to know, Kristen is underage. She is 17 and in our country, illegal,'" added the director. "It was powerful. I could tell their fascination for each other." The co-star couple dated off-and-on until mid-2013.

The reality star replies, "You know the answer to this! Yes!" The man conducting the test then chimes in, "True." During an Oct. 10 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live," Lena Dunham revealed that Calvin Harris is her least favorite of Taylor Swift's former loves. "I felt that he was petty in the public and who needs to do that?" said the "Girls" star, who's been friends with the singer for years.
