Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-January 2019, starting with one of our favorite leading men: Chris Pratt took to Instagram on Jan. 14 to announce that he and Katherine Schwarzenegger are engaged. "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!" he captioned a photo of himself embracing his wife-to-be as she gazes at her new engagement ring, which Jason Beverly Hills jeweler Jason Arasheben estimates is worth between $150K and $550K. According to People magazine, the A-list actor asked Katherine's parents, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, for permission before he popped the question: "He asked for Maria and Arnold's blessing and was very traditional about things," said a source. "Chris has been very straightforward about his intentions from the beginning," added the insider. "Over the last few months, he's been bonding with all of Katherine's siblings and it was clear to her entire family they would get married." Said a second source of the Schwarzenegger family, "They are a very tight-knit crew — and they love that Chris is a good-hearted, family-oriented person. … From the beginning, Chris has been part of family activities and dinners at Maria's home — he dotes on Katherine." Added the first insider, "Katherine has been very secure with Chris since they began dating. … When people asked her or her family if she and Chris had a future together, it was always a 'Yes, of course!'" Meanwhile, Chris Pratt's ex-wife, Anna Faris, took to Instagram to congratulate him on his engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger, commenting on his announcement, "I'm so happy for you both!! Congratulations!" Then on the Jan. 15 episode of her "Anna Faris is Unqualified" podcast, she dished on the happy news: "Sweet Chris, my ex, got engaged to Katherine today, and I'm so happy for them," she said. "I knew that it was gonna happen. I love her, and I love him, and I'm just so happy that they found each other. I so subscribe to the idea of expanding family and love with [our son] Jack." Added Anna of Katherine, "She's awesome." Continued the comedy star, "Chris texted me this morning, and he was like, 'I proposed to Katherine last night,' and I was like, 'Ah, that's amazing,' and I texted him back, like, 'I just want to remind you I'm an ordained minister.' … And I do want to congratulate Chris and Katherine. I love you guys, and I'll send you a text saying, like, 'Hey, by the way, I talked about you guys on my podcast.' But I do love you and congratulations and I'm thrilled. … They're both [expletive] amazing people. There isn't any bitterness. I'm just so happy that we're all really happy." She went on to say that she'd be happy to have the newly engaged couple on her podcast sometime: "Wedding planning. What's it like? You know it's my favorite topic," she joked.
Though Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin technically tied the knot at a New York City courthouse in September, the pair will have their wedding on Feb. 28, Page Six reported on Jan. 15, noting that the couple have sent save-the-dates but have yet to reveal the venue for their nuptials. The ceremony will reportedly include dancers, who are "already in rehearsals," according to Page Six, and the groom's personal DJ, Tay James, will handle the music throughout the festivities.

Radar Online reported on Jan. 15 that Heather Locklear and her off-and-on fiancé, Chris Heisser, called it quits after a "never-ending" fight while the actress was on a break from rehab over the holidays. "They started fighting on Christmas Eve and Chris took off. They continued fighting until after Christmas. Then Chris moved out of her house before the New Year," said a source. According to the insider, the duo fought over "the same issues" they've always had: "She doesn't trust Chris at all and if she's not with him she thinks he's with other women. If she's alone, she assumes the worst and then starts drinking. They fight over text and phone calls until he comes back and it usually escalates." According to the webloid, the "Melrose Place" star believes her problems are in the past now that Chris is no longer in the picture: "She's been in and out of rehab and nothing has changed, so she decided to change what she thinks the source of the issue is — Chris!" said the Radar insider. "That's why she hasn't returned to rehab. She's rationalized that she doesn't think she needs treatment now that he's out of her life." People magazine later reported that, according to a friend of Heather's, the actress is now "doing outpatient rehab at home" and "has broken up with Chris." Said the People source, "By her making this move, it gives her a great reset button on what is most important and that is her sobriety." The insider adds that Chris has not helped Heather "sustain her goals of sobriety." Said the pal, "She set goals of sobriety two years ago and those were not working with him in the picture."
Brie Larson and Phantom Planet frontman Alex Greenwald have parted ways after an engagement of almost three years, multiple media outlets reported on Jan. 11. "They have taken a step back from their engagement for the time being but they remain close," a source told People magazine.
Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham — who met on Season 22 of "The Bachelor" and got engaged after he broke things off with Becca Kufrin — tied the knot at Haiku Mill in Maui on Jan. 12. "The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison officiated the ceremony, which was attended by former "The Bachelor" star Sean Lowe and wife Catherine Giudici. Arie and Lauren are currently expecting their first child, a baby girl.
Richard Madden and Ellie Bamber have called it quits after 18 months together, The Sun reported on Jan. 12. "They're both absolutely gutted but it was a decision made for the best. They were arguing almost daily towards the end and, despite considering couples' therapy, it became evident there were far too many issues that could not be fixed," said a source. "Richard is the toast of Hollywood at the moment and understandably wants to let his hair down. … Ellie is a bit quieter and wants to focus purely on her work," continued the insider. "It felt like their day-to-day lives were increasingly becoming worlds apart."
In a statement sent to People magazine on Jan. 10, a Paris-based publicist for Grace Kelly's granddaughter, Charlotte Casiraghi, and her fiancé, Dimitri Rassam, denied early January reports that the couple called it quits. "Mademoiselle Charlotte Casiraghi and Monsieur Dimitri Rassam harassed by the scandal press, formally deny all unfounded rumors of their separation which are being circulated," read the statement. "The explanation of this cynical and false information is simple: to portray conflict where there is not and never was, with the goal of monetizing it, because the announcement of a separation always motivates good sales. Given the harmful nature of this rumor for themselves, their children and loved ones, they have agreed to ask their lawyer to initiate all legal proceedings, where possible before criminal courts." The duo welcomed a baby boy, Balthazar, in October.
Irish actor Allen Leech and actress Jessica Blair Herman, who starred on "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story," tied the knot at the Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort in California's Santa Ynez Valley on Jan. 5. According to Hello! magazine, which published exclusive photos from the nuptials on Jan. 13, the guest list included the groom's "Downton Abbey" co-stars Michelle Dockery and Dan Stevens and his "Bohemian Rhapsody" co-star Rami Malek. The bride and groom recruited former "Glee" co-stars Darren Criss and Lea Michele to perform at the ceremony after the string quartet that had been hired for the event bailed at the last minute because of the uncharacteristic downpour that rocked Southern California in early January, leading to unsafe driving conditions.
"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" co-stars Ross Lynch and Jaz Sinclair are fueling persistent rumors that they're more than friendly co-workers. The duo — who were caught on camera kissing on New Year's Eve in the background of a video shared by his sister, singer-actress Rydel Lynch (see it here) — were pictured looking extra-close in a group photo shared by "Mad Max: Fury Road" actress Courtney Eaton on Instagram in mid-January in celebration of her birthday. (Courtney, by the way, reportedly romanced Ross from 2015 to 2017.) Asked about the speculation that they're involved, Ross told "Entertainment Tonight," "Jaz is like, my closest friend right now" — but didn't deny a romance. Both have been posting sweet sentiments about their close relationship on their social media channels since late 2018. For example, Jaz celebrated Ross's birthday by sharing a slideshow of photos of them spending time together away from the set of their hit Netflix series: "Happy Birthday to my favorite. I'm really happy you were born 💙 Here's to many more good chats, belly laughs and dances in the new year," she wrote in the caption.

In pics obtained by TMZ and published on Jan. 14, the longtime couple (clad in all-white ensembles) can be seen posing with a white horse on a residential street. A rep for the rapper told TMZ that the duo aren't engaged, but according to the webloid, "multiple sources connected to the shoot and to the rapper say the pair definitely did get engaged." Adding to the confusion, Nipsey tweeted on Jan. 14, "IT AINT A Engagement Shoot.. It's a @GQMagazine Shoot w My Girl."

Rob took to Snapchat to share a video of Alexis sipping a drink while hanging out in a kitchen that looks an awful lot like the one at Kris Jenner's home. Alexis, meanwhile, posted videos showing off the meal she cooked that night: chicken and a big tray of macaroni and cheese. When one of Rob's Twitter followers suggested he was only hanging out with Alexis to get back at Chyna, he responded, "Me and Alexis known each other for 5 years so stop with that. … Damn i was just trying to eat some good food." Earlier that day, Rob called Alexis his #WCW on Snapchat: "My WCW … I've been wanting you for so long," he wrote underneath a photo of her in hot-pink separates … the same outfit she was wearing the night of the dustup with Chyna.
Garrett Clayton took to Instagram on Jan. 10 to reveal that he and longtime love Blake Knight got engaged last year. "It's been 1 year since @hrhblakeknight asked me to marry him in Iceland on the most beautiful trip and the most beaufitul day of my life to date," the Disney Channel star captioned a slideshow of pictures depicting the proposal and other highlights from their trip to Iceland. "I'll never forget your face in that moment when you got down on one knee. Love, nervous, and excited (Obv, I was going to say yes) all rolled into the love of my life," he continued. "Everyday with you is filled with joy and laughter. (even when we get heated every night over who has to get out of bed to turn off the hall light). 8 years! In a little over a month it'll be 8 years together. Those being packed full of ups and downs. (90% ups) I'll always be thankful that you walked into my 24 hour resturant when I first moved to LA. I was a waiter aspiring to be an actor. You were an assistant aspiring to be a writer. Now look at us! Living the dream together. Finding the strength in our unity with the loss of [our dog] Orion. To finding out on my birthday in the dirty parking lot behind the resturant I worked at (at that time) that I lost my first big job / cut to you holding me later that night whipping away my tears and telling me it was only the beginning. You've never faltered in being a supportive, loving, stubborn, sensitive rock in my life. Here's to another 100 years of traveling the world, stealing your socks and loving our babies, whether their dog babies or actual babies. I'll love you forever. Happy anniversary, my darling."
Tim Tebow proposed to his love of less than a year, Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, at his family's farm outside of Jacksonville, Florida, on Jan. 9. According to People magazine, the former football star popped the question with a 7.25-carat diamond solitaire ring. He then surprised his new fiancée with her friends and family, many of whom he'd secretly flown from South Africa to Florida for the engagement, which they watched from a distance, out of Demi-Leigh's sight.

On Jan. 10, Tarek El Moussa took to his Instagram Story to address ex-wife Christina Anstead's new marriage to Ant Anstead. (The former Christina El Moussa officially changed her name on her social media channels in early January.) "Christina got married," he said in one of several videos. "Yes. I'm actually happy for her. I think it's a great thing. I think they get along well and most importantly, it's good for my children." Continued the father of two, "I'm just so tired of the media's [crap]. I'm happy. My life is amazing. I have amazing friends. I love my babies. My family is great. I just want everybody to know that I'm doing fantastic and I'm super-happy and I'm positive." He went on to say he's "glad" his ex "found someone." Explained Tarek, "It's a good thing. I'm not the type who wants to fight with her for the rest of my life and make my kids miserable. The truth is, everything we do is about the kids, and at the end of the day, my kids are going to have a stable household, and she's going to have help, and that's exactly what they need. … I want to let everyone know I'm not devastated. I'm not heartbroken. I'm not upset. I'm actually really happy for her, and I'm happy for Ant, and most importantly, I'm happy for my kids because guess what? They're going to have a nice, stable household, and really at the end of the day, it's all about them."
During a Jan. 10 appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Lana Condor revealed that she and "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" co-star Noah Centineo made a real-life pact to keep things professional when they shot their hit Netflix rom-com. After the late-night host commented on their obvious chemistry and asked if she set boundaries with her castmate, the actress replied, "I did. We had just come back from a hot yoga class and went to his apartment and we ordered pizza, and it's kind of like, 'Oh, hot yoga, pizza. What's happening?' It was right before we shot the movie … just getting to know each other. … And I felt something. So I looked at him, and I was like, 'Noah, it's not gonna happen between us.' … I felt that for the show to do well, we had to be best-friend professionals. And so I was like, 'It's just not gonna happen,' and he was like, 'Yeah, it's not gonna happen.' And I was like, 'Great!' So we kind of did what we did in 'To All the Boys,' the movie. We kind of made a contract and set boundaries. I'm so happy that we did that because the movie turned out great, and now we're doing a sequel. So I have to work with him again. So imagine!" So what went wrong? "Something that happened with him," said Lindsay. "He lied about two things. … It was something serious. … When you're with someone for four years, that's a little bit too long to hold a lie." (Lindsay said her former great love didn't cheat on her.) As for what she's looking for in a future relationship, "I want to date a guy that's a businessman — doesn't have Instagram, doesn't have social media and is completely off the grid in terms of that kind of stuff," said the actress, adding that she thinks marriage will happen for her "when it's meant to happen."
During a Jan. 14 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen," Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian said that they support younger sister Khloe Kardashian's decision to stay with Tristan Thompson in spite of his very public cheating scandal. I didn't take it super-serious because he lived in Nashville [and I live in Los Angeles]. Then I was like, 'Oh man, I really like this guy.' … When I realized this, I was like, 'I'm supposed to be getting a [second] kidney transplant in nine days and I'm on dialysis. What do I do?' So I texted him being like, 'You need to come out to L.A. by the end of the week or this is never gonna happen.' And he was like, 'What's going on?' [I said], 'I'm going to be out of commission. Come next Tuesday. It's totally fine. I'll be fine.' And I didn't tell him anything. … Then the next day, he texted me, 'See you on Saturday,' and I was like, 'Oh, that's so romantic.' He's like, 'I'm presenting at this award show,' and I was like, oh, he totally, like, called whoever his people are and was like, 'Get me to L.A. by the end of the week,' just for me.
