Ben Affleck's mom is staying with Jennifer Garner during Ben's rehab stint
While Ben Affleck continues working on his sobriety in rehab — and his fitness with regular trips home to use his gym and see his rumored new girlfriend — the actor's mom is reportedly staying with Jennifer Garner to help with the kids. Over the weekend, Chris Affleck and her grandchildren, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9 and Samuel, 6, headed out to church together. "Jen has been super busy promoting her movie, and getting the kids settled back in school," a source close to the "Peppermint" star tells People. "She seems great. She has been very excited and proud to promote her new movie. The kids are excited to be back in school." Ben and Jen do have nannies to help with the kids as well, but she and Chris apparently remained on good terms through Jen and Ben's split. As for the children's understanding of their father's current situation, Jen has simply been explaining he needs doctors right now, according to People.

Teresa Giudice gets more divorce advice as Joe continues serving his prison sentence
Another sign Teresa Giudice could be ready to call time on her marriage to Joe Giudice has surfaced, courtesy of Teresa's appearance in the audience at Luann de Lesseps' cabaret show. A video obtained by the Daily Mail shows Teresa checking out "#CountessAndFriends" on Monday, Sept. 10. During the Q&A segment of the night, Luann stood to ask if it was "difficult going through a divorce on TV," referring to Luann's split from Tom D'Agostino Jr. "I just knew it was time to go. I was very solid in my decision, and I think that made it easier. … When I'm done, I'm done," Luann said. Teresa, who sounded like she was weighing her options as Joe finishes out his 41-month prison sentence for fraud, responded, "Me too. When I'm done, I'm done." Teresa seems to have been pulling away from Joe since she served her own 11-month sentence for the same fraud Joe got caught for. She has implied she puts most of the blame on him for their crimes and in January, she was spotted catching up with "a good friend" who happens to be a divorce lawyer.

Nicki Minaj and Lewis Hamilton fuel romance rumors at NYFW
Nothing takes the sting out of a public pop star feud like an equally public hot date. At least how it looked to New York Fashion Week attendees who spotted Nicki Minaj taking a break from her ongoing battle with Cardi B to hit the TommyXLewis party on Monday, Sept. 10, with the guest of honor, Lewis Hamilton. The race car driver recently collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger, but if The Blast's reporting is on target, Lewis may have a new fling with Nicki to celebrate in addition to his collection. The two reportedly arrived at the event together before cuddling on the red carpet. Afterwards, they hit Carbone for a late-night dinner, sparking even more romance rumors. The whole night looked like a much calmer affair than Nicki's last Fashion Week outing — in which she and Cardi B got into an all-out brawl that left Nicki feeling humiliated and mortified.
Mac Miller's DUI case is being dropped in Los Angeles
Prosecutors have chosen to drop charges against Mac Miller related to his May DUI case. The rapper, who died last week of an apparent overdose, was scheduled for an arraignment on Tuesday, Sept. 11, to face two counts of driving under the influence. TMZ reports the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office is now dropping the charges. "I made a stupid mistake," Mac said in an interview about the car accident in July. "I'm a human being. But it was the best thing that could have happened." His statement left fans and loved ones hoping he'd use the incident as inspiration to get more help with the substance abuse and depression issues he wrestled with.
Lawsuit filed against Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation
Last month, a New Orleans lawyer told NOLA.com he planned to file suit against Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation, which built energy-efficient homes for residents of the city's Lower Ninth Ward after it was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Now, People reports the lawsuit has been filed by attorneys representing all of the homeowners. Claiming the structures "were deficiently constructed and built," and remain plagued by problems ranging from mold to electrical and plumbing problems, the lawsuit alleges the foundation promised to make repairs but did not follow through. The homeowners, meanwhile are "stuck with mortgages on properties that have diminished values" as the homes continue to fall apart, the lawsuit states. It also includes text praising Pitt for "spearheading the rebuilding of the Lower Ninth Ward because their neighborhood housed more than their homes. It housed their community," according to People. Though a rep for Pitt and the foundation has not yet responded to the magazine with a comment, an insider close to the situation says "repairs began months ago" and that Pitt "made a promise to the people of the Lower Ninth and he intends to keep fulfilling it, and to keep contributing money as he has been all this time."
Hailey Baldwin is being more selective about her NYFW participation
Kendall Jenner's not the only model taking it easy during this year's New York Fashion Week. Her pal, Hailey Baldwin, who recently got engaged to Justin Bieber, has also decided she doesn't need to attend every event or walk every runway. "I've tried to be really choosy with fashion week going forward, just because I want to have the time to spend being relaxed and being with family — and my fiancé," she recently told WWD (via JustJared). A regular on the runways of Tommy Hilfiger, Zadig & Voltaire, Tory Burch and Jeremy Scott, Hailey's reigned her schedule way in, attending only a handful of events including the Carolina Herrera show this week.
Jimmy Kimmel helps raise$1.5M for childhood cancer research
Jimmy Kimmel's concern for child healthcare in America extends way beyond the health of his son, who has undergone multiple heart surgeries since his birth. Over the weekend, the late night host helped raise a record-breaking $1.5 million to support childhood cancer research through L.A. Loves Alex's Lemonade Stand, a charity event started by 4-year-old cancer patient Alex Scott. Part of Jimmy's contribution included an auction package in which the highest bidder could bring pals to Jimmy's barn for a star chef-prepared dinner series, according to Page Six. The package ended up raising $300,000 for the cause. Other celebs who came out to support the event included Jason Bateman, Giada De Laurentiis, Timothy Olyphant and Rebecca Metz.
Dakota Johnson's 'Suspiria' costars showed her a new side of femininity
The new remake of Asia Argento's cult classic horror film, "Suspiria," stars a slew of strong female leads. At a time when producers like Reese Witherspoon are dedicating themselves to telling more women's stories, it should be no wonder some of the script's allure for Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Chloe Moretz and Mia Goth had to do with the way the movie handles the concept of what it means to be feminine. That apparently affected the way Dakota felt about femininity off-screen, as well. "So often today we're caught up in social media, where everyone is flashing themselves and trying to look beautiful, skinny and whatever but feeling insecure," she tells AnOther magazine, whose new issue comes in versions with each of the four actresses on the cover (via JustJared). "But these girls showed me a side of femininity that is really strong and sensual and in touch, connected." Chloe chimed in on the same issue, musing: What's interesting about 'Suspiria' is that the story is something you might have seen before – it's about a coven of witches; we've seen lots of movies about that – but the execution of that idea is like nothing you've ever seen. The femininity that is used to express the witches' rituals is so, so different and intoxicating." The film hits theaters in time for Halloween, on Oct. 26.
