Chris Martin's ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, 'pushed' him to reconcile with Dakota Johnson: Report
On-again couple Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have an unlikely friend to thank, at least in part, for their reconciliation. According to an Us Weekly source, the pair's brief June split could have become a permanent one had Chris' ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, not helped them see why their relationship was worth fighting for. "Gwyneth is the one who pushed them to do it," the insider said. Gwyneth — who just announced she's (finally) moving in with her husband of nearly one year, Brad Falchuk –has reportedly spent time getting to know Dakota and was spotted "bonding" with her at a party this past spring. "Gwyneth is happy if Chris is happy," a source told Us at the time. "She only wants the best for him." Chris, 42, and Dakota, 29, reportedly became an item back in December 2017. Since then, they've kept their romance under wraps as much as possible.

Cameron Diaz explains why her 40s have turned out to be 'the best decade'
It's been five years since Cameron Diaz last appeared on the big screen and, as is the case with a lot of things in her life these days, she's good with that. Cameron, who turns 47 at the end of the month, recently checked in with InStyle, which is also celebrating a birthday — 25 — about why she loves being the age she is. "You know, I think the 40s are the best decade," she said, according to People. "You just get to be real with yourself, and you can also make necessary changes because you have the experience of looking back on four decades. Looking at patterns and seeing what things really work. You get to let go of giving a s—- about anything. You're done! Don't care. I really don't. It's such a relief." That translates in part to putting less pressure on herself to perform. "I started [experiencing fame] when I was 22, so 25 years ago — that's a long time," she said. "The way I look at it is that I've given more than half of my life to the public. I feel it's OK for me to take time for myself now to reorganize and choose how I want to come [back] into the world. If I decide to. I don't miss performing." Instead, she said she's "looking at the landscape of wellnss," a subject she's focused attention on with best-selling books about the body and aging. "But whatever I do, it has to be something I'm passionate about — something that just feels effortless," she added, noting that she has a few new projects in the works that she can't yet discuss.

Duchess Meghan reportedly 'wants to change' perceptions about post-baby bodies
Between being a mom to her baby boy, Archie, launching a new charitable foundation with her husband, Prince Harry, and finding new "forces for change" to highlight each month and potentially support in her role as a royal, Duchess Meghan has plenty on her plate. One thing she's not focused on? Her pre-baby weight and how or when she'll return to it. A royal insider tells Us Weekly Meghan "wants to change the perception that you have to be skinny to be beautiful," and hopes to use her platform to inspire other new moms to feel that way, too. "It's not easy to lose the weight," a source told the magazine earlier this summer, "but she's happy to be a realistic example to new mothers." Rather than stress about weight loss, Meghan's reportedly sticking to her plant-based diet and the "daily yoga and meditation" she and Harry outfitted the yoga studio in their home to accommodate. "What she loves most about the practice is that it helps her switch off and wind down," says the source. "She's even taught Harry a few moves!" Meghan and Harry welcomed Archie on May 6.
How Willie Nelson got Woody Harrelson back on the marijuana train
In his last movie, "The Highwaymen," Woody Harrelson played a Texas ranger on a mission to catch Bonnie and Clyde. His next film "Zombieland: Double Tap," is similarly adrenaline driven, given its comedy/horror vibe. In real life, however, the "Cheers" alum is decidedly all about about the chill, a discovery Esquire makes clear in its September cover story. One of the big reasons for Woody's happy, laidback attitude these days? Weed, a substance he recently returned to after smoking it his whole adult life — then swearing it off in 2016 because he felt he was, as he once put it in an interview, "partying too f—— hard' for three decades and wanted to be "more present." Welp, Turns out all it takes to change a former smoker's mind is one meeting with a certain pot-loving country star. "Yep, I did quit," Woody tells Esquire's reporter as he puffs on a vape. "For almost two years. No smoking, no vaping. And then I ran into this guy and that was that." As he utters those words, he gestures at the cover of Rolling Stone's marijuana issue, graced by Willie Nelson. "See, everybody thinks of Willie as a model of progressive thinking and virtue, and he is, but he's also got an evil side. Eee-vil," Woody intones. "Now, Willie never felt too good about me quitting. And he kept trying to get me to not quit. We'd be playing poker and he'd pass me a vape pen, and I'd say, 'Willie, man, I don't do that anymore.' And he'd act surprised, like it was news to him—every time, just as surprised as he could be. Then we were in Maui, and you know the whole reason I'm in Maui in the first place is Willie," he continues. In an aside, Woody recalls how, after seeing Willie perform once, he knocked on the door of the singer's tour bus. When it opened, he said "smoke was billowing out." Woody gazed through the cloud and saw "this fellow with long hair holding a big old fatty." It was Willie, of course. "And he says, 'Let's burn one.' And I know right away that he's going to be a friend for life," Woody says. "He told me he had a place in Maui and to come on out, and that's how I just sort of ended up there. Anyway, Willie passed me the pen after I'd won this huge pot. I was in a celebrating mood, so I snatched the pen from him and took a long draw." That was apparently that. Said Woody: "And Willie smiled at me and said, 'Welcome home, son.'"
Why Channing Tatum is taking a break from social media
Earlier this year, singer Jessie J took some time off social media following the death of her bodyguard so she could "be more present" in life and less apt to live through her phone. Now, her boyfriend, Channing Tatum, is making a similar move. On Wednesday, Aug. 7, the actor announced in an Instagram post he's going on a "socials" hiatus "for a minute." "I've been trying to get inspired and create again," he explained. "And to be honest I don't really feel, or at least i haven't felt very creative on social in the last couple years now. I'm gonna go and be just in the real world for a while and off my phone." He said that if he gets back on the platforms, he wants "to have a direction or a clear point of view of why I'm on here and what I'm putting out there." Other celebs who've opted to put down the Instagram/Twitter/Facebook machine in the past have included Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Sarah Hyland.

Kourtney Kardashian tells Scott Disick he's 'come a long way' as a dad
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have had to work to become good friends and coparents since they split. And as they explain in a new preview clip for "Flip It Like Disick," Scott, in particular, has done plenty of internal work to get from the nervous guy he once was to the father of three he is today. "I was just so insecure that everybody would look at me like I'm not cool or young anymore. Now, I couldn't be happier," he says, according to ET. "You told me all the time you weren't the soccer dad," Kourtney admits. Speaking to the camera in a separate interview, Scott admits, "It was really, really, really difficult at first," saying, "I did not know how to be a dad, how to take care of kids and how to be there for them.
