Jonah Hill shows off his continued weight loss on the set of 'Maniac'
Whatever Jonah Hill's doing to stay in shape, it seems to be working. After struggling with his weight for years, the actor's continued to look slimmer than ever in recent months, particularly when he was spotted filming "Maniac" in New York City this week. Though he's credited his weight loss and renewed focus on health to "maturity," he's also trimmed his physique with the help of a nutritionist and trainer, whom he's said have helped him redefine the ways in which he indulges in treats like beer. "Maniac," which also stars Emma Stone and Geoffrey Cantor, is due out next year.
Emma Roberts and Evan Peters 'are still very much together'
The third time really is the charm for Emma Roberts and Evan Peters, whose relationship is still going strong after a string of hookups and breakups, plus one marriage proposal. "Emma and Evan are still very much together," a source recently told Us Weekly. Another insider confirmed the actors "are happy." Emma and Evan first started dating in 2012 after meeting on the set of "Adult Life." They got engaged in 2013, then split for the first time in 2015. The two soon reunited — then called it quits for a second time in May 2016. By September of last year, Emma had put her engagement ring back on. They have yet to discuss their wedding plans (or lack thereof) publicly.

Julia Roberts passes fan to Tom Hanks
The ultimate celebrity show of friendship? Longtime pals Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks were among the stars who attended last week's amfAR gala in Los Angeles and when Julia was stopped by a selfie-desperate fan, she gracefully passed on the opportunity to smile for the person's camera — and offered up Tom instead. "She said, 'I'm not a selfie girl, but Tom will do it!'" an onlooker recently told the New York Post. Tom reportedly obliged the request. Tom later presented Julia with the Award of Courage for her work in the fight against AIDS.
Ellen DeGeneres picks up a new beachfront pad for $18.6M
Ellen DeGeneres is making a new home on the California coast just below the 17-acre property she's trying to sell in Santa Barbara for $45 million. TMZ reports the talk show host recently closed on a five bedroom, six-and-a-half bath pad in the town of Carpinteria. The $18.6 million digs feature 6,000 square feet of living space, a clay tennis court and a guesthouse as well as beachfront access. Not that any of those details necessarily mean she'll make the place her primary residence; Ellen has bought and sold at least 15 houses in the past 25 years, according to Vogue. "I've never bought to sell," she told the New York Times in 2014. "I always say: 'This is it. I'm never moving.' People laugh at me now."
LuAnn de Lesseps: Tom D'Agostino 'couldn't give up his bachelor lifestyle'
What went wrong for LuAnn de Lesseps and Tom D'Agostino? That's what Wendy Williams asked LuAnn this week when the "Real Housewives" star appeared on her show. After assuring Wendy, "I don't live with regrets," LuAnn explained how things deteriorated in her marriage to the point where it was over just eight months after it began. "We got engaged after three months and then we got married a year after, so I thought, plenty of time, because I got married two weeks after I met my first husband and it lasted 17 years, so I thought, you know this is how it works," she recalled (via the Daily Mail). Rumors Tom surfaced along with an apparently ignored request from LuAnn that Tom stop hanging out in bars. "He's 50 years old, he never asked anyone to marry him, so I thought I was different. I know he loved me. That's not the issue and I know he went into it just like I did with a big heart and a lot of love," LuAnn said. "And then he just couldn't give up his bachelor lifestyle. And that didn't work for me." Eventually, she said, she became "totally fed up" with the various problems between them. "I just couldn't do it anymore …," she said. "I was unhappy and I think he was unhappy too."
Peter Facinelli gets candid about struggling after his split from Jennie Garth
Four years after they finalized their divorce, Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth have found a new rhythm for their relationship. As Peter says in the new issue of LaPalme magazine (via the Daily Mail), that relationship turns on the needs of the former couple's children, Luca, 20, Lola, 14, and Fiona, 11. "Anyone going through a breakup should know, kids need to see mom and dad happy. As long as they know they͛'re happy, they know they will be," Peter explains. He goes on to note that after 11 years of marriage came to an end, it wasn't necessarily easy getting to where he and Jennie are now. "People come into your life for a reason and relationships can change and just because we aren't living together doesn't mean you can't love each other," he says. "I think once, there was a time where we had to learn that we had to be able to move forward with love and respect. … Once a break up happens you need to go through the healing process first. Love is blind and hindsight is twenty-twenty."
Blythe Danner defends Gwyneth Paltrow amid Maureen Dowd criticism
Maureen Dowd recently took Gwyneth Paltrow to task in the New York Times for working with Harvey Weinstein and the Weinstein Company after he allegedly came on to her when she was 22. Now, Gwyneth's mom Blythe Danner is doing the chastising. "I cannot remain silent while Maureen Dowd disparages my daughter, Gwyneth Paltrow, for the manner in which she chose to handle Harvey Weinstein's attempt at a sexual encounter when she was 22," Blythe wrote in the Wednesday, Oct. 18, edition of the Times. "Gwyneth did not 'put aside her qualms to become @the first lady of Miramax' back then, as Ms. Dowd would have it. She continued to hold her own and insist that Mr. Weinstein treat her with respect," Blythe continued. The 71-year-old actress went on to point out Gwyneth's father Bruce Danner was honored with "the first Diversity Award from the Directors Guild for helping women and minorities in our business," adding that Gwyneth "wasn't the only woman he taught to fight for herself." Before signing off, she urged people to think twice before leaping to conclusions about women who have come forward with revelations about sexual harassment and assault. "I suggest that the pundits stop casting aspersions on the women who have confronted unwanted sexual advances in the manner each sees fit and concentrate on the constructive ways to prevent this behavior in the future."
Alyssa Milano reflects on '#metoo' going viral
The "me too" movement Alyssa Milano helped make viral has officially taken over most social media platforms in the past week and as Alyssa told "Good Morning America" in a new interview, the hashtag's popularity proves there's power in solidarity. "I just think it's something that is so so prevalent," Alyssa said in reference to sexual assault and harassment. "It is a cultural issue that I think we have to face, and women posting 'Me Too' — I think gave them the courage to not have to tell their story or not have to name their predator but to just stand in solidarity. And I think that the numbers are a testament to how powerful women can be when we do stand together and we are one." According to E! News, "#metoo" has been tweeted more than 1.2 million times since Alyssa suggested people who have been sexually harassed or assaulted share the phrase on Sunday, Oct. 15.
