Julia Roberts got in on the growing trend of face-mask selfies on Instagram over the weekend, but her mask had nothing to do with coronavirus fears — or Halloween, which we gotta say would be equally appropriate given the hilarious photo she posted. "March, I'm all in!" Julia captioned a shot of herself wearing the massive white mask over the weekend. According to People, the mask, made by Aduro, is a red, LED light therapy device intended to attack wrinkles and increase collagen production. LED light therapy has been a staple in dermatologists' offices for ages, People, reports, but has recently become a go-to part of some at-home beauty regimes. "LED light is essentially acting like the sun to a plant," dermatologist Marnie Nussbaum, MD, explained in a 2019 Vogue story. "It is penetrating the skin to a cellular level and subsequently causing different intra- and intercellular reactions." Julia's next big project is expected to be "Gaslit," a story about the Watergate scandal based on the 2017 podcast "Slow Burn." Julia plays whistlebower Martha Mitchell opposite Sean Penn, who plays Richard Nixon's attorney, John Mitchell, in the film.

Katy Perry returns to the place where she and Orlando Bloom got engaged

Katy Perry revisited the site of Orlando Bloom's 2019 marriage proposal on the Sunday, March 2, edition of "American Idol," bringing her costars Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan along with her to a rooftop overlooking the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, where Orlando popped the question last year on Valentine's Day. "This actual rooftop. This is where Orlando and I got engaged," Katy gushed as they looked out at the view (via ET). "He asked me to marry him in a helicopter and we landed the helicopter actually on this rooftop … I'm feeling all the feelings!" she squealed. The judges were holding auditions inside the building Orlando had used, but it turned out the location where the episode was shot also happened to have been the venue for Katy and Orlando's surprise engagement party. "I remember this awning," Katy recalled. "We were all out here, my whole family and friends. He had surprised me. Everyone was wearing matching sweaters. It was really sweet. It was so beautiful. All in this room. It was here! I'm happy to celebrate it again."

Brooks Laich credits Julianne Hough with helping him explore his sexuality

A month ago, Julianne Hough's husband Brooks Laich fueled split rumors about the couple when he focused his "How Men Think" podcast on divorce. In his most recent episode, though, it sounds as if he and Julianne may simply be working through some important — and healthy — relationship issues. Specifically, Brooks clarifies comments he made on a Junauary edition of the podcast about how one of his goals for the year was to "really explore learning about sexuality." In a clip from the latest recording (via E! News), Brooks explains: "Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love. A big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality, and by that I don't mean if I'm gay or straight. I mean, like, in my sexual relationship. What is my sexuality? What am I craving, what are my desires and what are my wife's? And how could we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything?" Brooks goes on to say that until recently, he hadn't really prioritized "discovering and learning and figuring out my capacity for sexual feelings." He wants to change that. "When you say sexuality, culture or society thinks it's gay or straight. Some people are figuring that out, that's fine," he says on the segment. "Through doing this show and also through my wife, who's exploring this as well, and shared a lot of this with me and has perked my interest in it." Julianne, who married Brooks in 2017, has said she told her husband she isn't "straight," per se, which appears to have sparked the conversation about Brooks.

Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan's son Archie won't travel to UK with his parents this month: Report

Meghan Markle is on her way to join Prince Harry in the U.K. this week, where the couple will complete their duties as senior members of the royal family before stepping down officially on March 31. According to The Times of London, however, the pair's son Archie won't be making the trip with his parents. Instead, he's expected to remain in Canada, as he did when Harry and Meghan returned to the UK in January for a brief visit. While the Times (via ET) claims Queen Elizabeth II and the other royals are "very sad" they won't see the 9-month-old on the trip, it's worth noting the Times' headline, "… Meghan is leaving Archie in Canada …," implies the decision for Archie to stay behind is Meghan's fault, which aligns with the unfairly negative light in which the British tabs seem bent on casting Meghan. The couple's trip involves a busy itinerary of both separate and joint appearances. It also comes amid escalating coronavirus fears around the world.

James Franco files objection to allegations in sexual misconduct suit

James Franco has officially filed an objection to sexual misconduct claims made by two former acting students in a class action lawsuit against him. JustJared reports Franco's demurrer calls allegations he removed protection devices from the actresses without their consent while filming an oral sex scene "salacious … false and inflammatory." The legal documents go on to call the class action suit a measure intended "largely to gain as much publicity as possible." THR previously reported the lawsuit, filed by Sarah Tither-Kaplan, Toni Gaal and others, includes Tither-Kaplan's allegations that while they were his students, Franco got angry at female actresses who refused to remove their shirts and "forced them to sign vague nudity riders." The demurrer claims Tither-Kaplan praised Franco in texts and on Twitter. "The casting director and others involved with those films have confirmed that all actresses, including Tither-Kaplan, were aware of the nudity scenes ahead of time, that they were constantly checking to make sure the actresses felt comfortable, that they signed nudity waivers, and that no one — including Tither-Kaplan — ever complained," Franco's lawyers wrote in the demurrer. When the allegations first surfaced in 2018, Franco said, "if I have done something wrong, I will fix it."

Mandy Moore reacts to Pete Buttigieg dropping out of the race: 'I'm heartbroken'

After stumping for Pete Buttigieg on the campaign trail, Mandy Moore admitted she was "heartbroken" to learn of his decision to exit the Democratic Presidential race after placing fourth in the South Carolina primary. "So, I can't say that I'm not a little heartbroken right now," Mandy told followers over the weekend on her Instagram Story (via the Daily Mail). "I am heartbroken for the country, I'm heartbroken for Pete and Chasten, I am heartbroken for the incredible Pete for America campaign staff and field organizers and all of the wonderful people I've been lucky enough to meet and interact with over the past six months or so," she continued, tagging Buttigieg and his husband, Chasten. "Pete may not have been your guy, but there was no way to deny the historic nature of what this campaign is and was. And for that, I am so tremendously grateful. I'm grateful to Pete and Chasten for what they have inspired, and I can only hope that, moving forward, whoever our nominee is, is able to carry forth that message of unity," Mandy added. Calling the Buttigiegs "truly two of the most remarkable people I've ever met, the most inspiring people I've ever met," Mandy said she believes both men "have the best, brightest future ahead." NeNe Leakes recently opened up about her hesitation to do another season of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," an admission she went public with only after Wendy Williams leaked the information about her pal. On Sunday, March 1, NeNe clarified some of the fallout from Wendy's reveal on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" after a fan asked if she and Wendy were still friends, given Wendy's unsolicited announcement that NeNe was done with the show. (NeNe quickly denied the claims when Wendy made them on her talk show in January; NeNe's rep told ET at the time that nothing had been confirmed one way or another for her future on "RHOA.") On "WWHL," NeNe was pretty low-key about the situation, saying she'd just hung out with Wendy. "Me, Wendy, and Marlo [Hampton] were together today. We shopped at Bergdorf and had lunch, honey," NeNe told the fan.

Amanda Bynes' fans seemed a little concerned over the weekend when the actress-turned aspiring designer shouted-out Drake on Instagram. The post was innocent ("Fav songs out now DRAKE 1. Money in the grave," she posted, adding, "2 Yes Indeed RODDY RICCH 1. Ballin 2. High Fashion") but commenters wondered why Amanda would name-check the rapper given the negative attention she got in 2013 for a s emi-R-rated tweet she posted regarding what she wanted him to do to her lady parts … "Oh no not this again," wrote one Insta user (via Us Weekly). "After all that I would never mention Drake again!" another added. A number of tweets followed the first, including posts in which she called him "ugly," "gorgeous" and the "man of my dreams." They surfaced the same year she was going through a public meltdown of sorts, something Drake seemed to acknowledge when he responded to the tweets in an XXL Magazine interview the same year. "I don't even know who that is doing that or what that's about. If that is her, I guess it's a little weird and disturbing. It's obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it's her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going," he said at the time. She has since apologized to all the celebs she'd trolled on social media and has gotten what appears to be extensive help for mental health and substance abuse issues.

Ben Affleck talks going blond for 'The Last Duel'

Ben Affleck's spent much of the past few weeks speaking with extreme candor about his own demons and struggles with addiction ahead of the release of "The Way Back," in which he plays a coach battling similar issues. So it was nice to see him take a break from the heavy personal stuff to talk about "The Last Duel," his upcoming collaboration with childhood pal Matt Damon, over the weekend. Ben goes blond for the film, and as he told ET at the premiere of "The Way Back," he can now prove lighter locks mean more good times. "Did pictures get out?" he asked a reporter, coyly. "We need to control that!" he joked. "I don't know how that happened, but somebody's bound to see it. Eventually I'll release some good ones … This movie has been really fun. [I'm] really excited. Adam Driver, Matt Damon … it's been really fun." The Ridley Scott-directed project is due out early next year.

Mark Wahlberg warned 'Spenser Confidental' costar Post Malone about tattoo removal

Post Malone got more than acting experience on the set of "Spenser Confidential" alongside Mark Wahlberg — he got some helpful advice, too. In a nutshell? Take it easy with the face tats. "I told him, eventually he's gonna want to remove his and it's gonna be painful," Mark told E! News with a smile at the premiere for the upcoming Netflix movie. "It's more painful taking them off," he added. "I've taken all mine off already." Mark — cback in his "Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch" music heyday — had a shoulder tattoo that said "Wahlberg" and a Bob Markey tat that read "One Love," among others. They've both been removed.
