Fans get a kick out of the card Kourtney Kardashian sent her mom
Um … it's the thought that counts? After Kris Jenner shared a photo of the bouquet of red roses Kourtney Kardashian gave her for Valentine's Day, fans noticed something wasn't quite right. It seems the card on the flowers read, "Hoping you heart is happy on the Valentine's Day. I love You. Kourtney." Between the missing "r" from "your," the awkward addition of "the" before "Valentine's Day" and randomly capitalized "you" in "I love you," social media users were perplexed — and, in some cases, left wondering if Kourtney could use a refresher on fifth grade English. "I couldn't read the card…," wrote one Instagram user. Others made similar comments, ranging from "Grammar check," to "You had one job!" to less forgiving sentiments such as, "HOW TO DO GREAT AT SCHOOL EASILY💓💓." None of it seemed to phase Kris, though. "Thank you @kourtneykardash," she captioned the post, adding, "I LOVE you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️#happyheart #myfirstchild @jeffleatham." Truly a card only a mother could love …

Aaron and Lauren Paul's baby's name revealed
Aaron Paul and his wife, Lauren, became first-time parents on Thursday, Feb. 8, when they welcomed a baby girl into the world. Thanks to The Blast, we now know what the couple's adorable new addition is named. According her birth certificate, the tot is officially Story Annabelle Paul, which means her mom and dad opted to stick with the name Aaron uses professionally. Turns out Paul is technically his middle name. He was born Aaron Paul Sturtevant. Welcome to the world, Story!

Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus spent Valentine's Day house-hunting together
Lovebirds Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus spent their Valentine's Day checking out potential new homes in the Pacific Palisades section of Los Angeles, the same neighborhood where Ben's ex, Jennifer Garner, lives with their kids. "They visited two homes in the $8 million-$10 million range with a broker who gave them tours," a source tells E! News, adding that the two were affectionate and sweet with one another during the outing. "While Ben and Lindsay were waiting for the first house to be opened, Ben grabbed Lindsay on the doorstep and pulled her in close for a hug," said the source. "They were swaying back and forth hugging and laughing. He kissed her on the forehead. He walked with his arm around her and put his hand on her lower back. They seemed very happy and close. They spent about 20 minutes at each house and left with flyers showing the price and layouts of each. They went back to Ben's house for the afternoon." Later that day, a delivery truck reportedly showed up at Ben's place to drop off what the insider described as "an enormous balloon arrangement of Valentine's themed balloons" including "big pink hearts, glitter hearts [and] flower balloons." Last fall, Us Weekly reported the couple had bought a place on New York City's Upper West Side, where they are reportedly living together when Ben is in the Big Apple to be with his "SNL" producer girlfriend, who remains based there.

Elton John had a close call with a strand of Mardi Gras beads in Las Vegas
At Mardi Gras in New Orleans, it's pretty common for parade-goers to get whacked with the occasional strand of beads as they go flying off the floats. Unfortunately, Elton John didn't have to travel to the Crescent City to suffer a similar injury this week. On Wednesday, Feb. 14 — one day after Fat Tuesday and the first day of Lent — someone chucked what TMZ reports looked like Mardi Gras beads at the Rocketman's head as he sat the piano singing "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, . The beads hit him in the mouth, forcing him to stop singing. Luckily, after checking his lips and teeth to make sure everything was intact, he was able to go on with the song within about 30 seconds. The culprit was reportedly someone in the front row — the same row Elton had just invited onstage. Guess the bead thrower has something to repent for until Easter …
Susan Sarandon says activism has left her shunned, isolated from her peers
With three new films due out this year, Susan Sarandon will have plenty of opportunities to voice her opinions on everything from Hollywood's sexual misconduct problem to politics. But as she recently shared with Sydney's Saturday Extra, speaking out about such issues can have isolating consequences. The 71-year-old Oscar winner says her unpopular opinions on matters like Hillary Clinton, whom she's called "very dangerous for America," primarily because Hillary voted for Iraq, have gotten her shunned in the film industry. "The things that I regret are only things I didn't say or do, even though I went through a pretty scary time leading up to [the vote on] Iraq," Susan told Extra (via the Daily Mail). "… I certainly — in not supporting Hillary Clinton — ended up getting an enormous amount of heat about that," she said. "I just know for all the unkind or hurtful things, or scary things that have happened because of an unpopular stand with the war or whatever, I don't regret it." Susan's stance on Hillary has gotten her into public feuds with the likes of Debra Messing, who went after her on Twitter in 2016 for suggesting that a Trump presidency might be better for America. With regard to the #MeToo movement, Susan's suggestion that "a lot of women felt very flattered to be sleeping with" men in positions of power in Hollywood, and that not everyone has felt victimized by those situations, hasn't earned her a lot of love from her peers, either. Not that any of this consternation is new. Recalling the 1993 Academy Awards — when Susan and Tim Robbins protested the U.S.'s decision to hold HIV-positive Haitians at Guantanamo — she said "no one made eye contact" with her. "The most harsh punishment," Susan added, "is isolation from your tribe."
Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez go jewelry shopping on Valentine's Day
Did Jennifer Lopez get some new bling for Valentine's Day? On Wednesday, Feb. 14, she and her boyfriend of one year, Alex Rodriguez, were spotted checking out the displays at two jewelry stores in Miami, according to the New York Post. The PDA-prone pair's shopping pit stops including Mayors jewelry store and Tourneau, although it's unclear whether they ended up finding anything to take home before they took a break for a bite at Brasserie Central. Whether or not any big-ticket gifts were purchased, J.Lo did wrap up her day with one priceless gift — some sweet words from her beau, who posted a love note to her on Instagram. "To my gorgeous girl," he wrote alongside a photo of the singer. "You make me happier, stronger, better… te amo Macha 13."
Omar Epps sued for alleged on-set assault
Did Omar Epps take his "Shooter" acting a step too far? Actress Donzaleigh Abernathy has filed suit against Omar and Paramount Pictures for negligence and assault and battery after she was allegedly left injured by Omar's handling of a scene in which Omar's character on the show murdered her character. According to excerpts from court documents published on TMZ, they were filming in May 2016 when she says Omar "completely deviated from the script" and "threw his left forearm with full force at [her] right arm." She claims the impact broke her arm. She also says he dropped her on the floor, injuring her back. According to Donzaleigh's account, the incident stopped production and the actress, who was 59 at the time, was rushed to the hospital. She's suing for coverage of her medical costs, including any that might arise as a result of the injuries in the future, plus damages.
Fans want newly single Jennifer Aniston to reunite with Brad Pitt
Welp, that was probably inevitable. Despite the cautious language requesting folks not speculate about their relationship, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux used to announce their separation this week, fans are, of course, speculating their hearts out about what's next for Jen's love life. More specifically: they're clamoring for her to reunite with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. "Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are getting back together. I called it first. #JenniferAniston," one social media user wrote (via Us Weekly). Another went for a more tabloid-ready perspective on the would-be reunion, suggesting "Plot twist: she gets back with Brad Pitt and is step mom to Angelina's kids #JenniferAniston." Last May, Us Weekly reported that Brad and Jen, who were married from 2000 to 2005, were back in touch and texting again following his split from Angelina Jolie. Alas, that's been the extent of any indication they could be pals again, let alone angling to get back together.
Jimmy Kimmel to Donald Trump: We need 'real laws' that will 'keep assault rifles out of the hands pf people who are going to shoot our kids'
In the wake of this week's mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, Jimmy Kimmel used the platform of his show to urge Donald Trump to take action to stop the climbing number of mass shootings in this country. (Parkland marked mass shooting No. 30 for the U.S., according to the Gun Violence Archive's data; in 2017, there were 346 mass shootings in this country.) As Jimmy talked about the attack that killed 17 people this week, he became emotional and his eyes filled with tears. He then turned to the president's response to the violence, sharing a clip of his speech from earlier this week. "We are all joined together as one American family and your suffering is our burden also," Trump said in the clip (via E! News). "No child, no teacher should ever be in danger in an American school. No parent should ever have to fear for their sons and daughters when they kiss them goodbye in the morning." Jimmy urged Trump to do something about that situation. "So, here's what you do to fix that," he said. "Tell your buddies in Congress — tell Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, all the family men who care so much about their communities — that what we need are laws. Real laws that do everything possible to keep assault rifles out of the hands of people who are going to shoot our kids. Go on TV and tell them to do that." He continued: "Tell these Congressmen and lobbyists who infest that swamp you said you were going to drain force these allegedly Christian men and women who stuff their pockets with money from the NRA year after year after year to do something now. Not later. Now." Jimmy added, "Children are being murdered," as tears became visible in his eyes. "Do something. We still haven't talked about it. You still haven't done anything about this. Nothing. You've literally done nothing," he said. "Actually, you've done worse than nothing. You guys like to say this is a mental health issue. But one of your very first acts as President Mr. Trump was to actually roll back the regulations that were designed to keep firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill. You did that. Your party voted to repeal the mandates on coverage for mental health. So, I agree, this is a mental illness issue because if you don't think we need to do something about it, you are obviously mentally ill." He concluded by asking viewers to visit everytown.org, an anti-gun violence action group that works to fight the gun lobby in Washington, D.C., and advocates for gun laws that will protect more Americans.
Kristen Bell opens up about empowering her daughters
Something important is missing from most fairytales and Kristen Bell doesn't want her daughters to grow up thinking that's OK. "I see a lot of books my daughters are given. And it's all about the prince wanting to marry the princess and all he does is kiss her and she says 'Yes!'" Kristen, who shares 4-year-old Lincoln and 3-year-old Delta with Dax Shepard, tells Us Weekly. Rather than leaving the story at that, Kristen reads the girls the fairytales, closes the book and asks questions. "I say, 'I wonder why he didn't get to know her? I wonder why he didn't ask her whether she wanted to marry him?'" she says. "It's a really tiny change, but I'm definitely working toward empowering them." That's not the only way Lincoln and Delta are being empowered as they grow up. Kristen says she and Dax send their kids to a school "that prides itself in emotional learning," explaining that students are taught how to speak up for themselves. "When the kids get physical with each other — which they do because they're all feral at this point — they teach them to say things like, 'I don't like it when you touch my body like that.' They say that to me: 'I don't like having my hair touched,'" Kristen explains. As a woman in Hollywood these days, it's not lost on Kristen that knowing how to speak out is essential in this world, either. "I'm glad that people are standing up and talking about tough topics right now," Kristen says.
