Rihanna reveals she wants kids, with or without a partner
All you need is love. That's the approach Rihanna plans to take when it comes to becoming a mom. The singer and designer, 32, recently sat down with British Vogue for the magazine's May cover story. And in addition to shedding some light on her "R9" album plans (sort of β she admits she's working on new music "very aggressively," but "can't say when" she'll release it), Rih opened up about her desire to have children. "Since I turned 32, I'm realizing life is really short," she explained. "You don't have a lot of time to tolerate sβ, you know? You put so much on your plate. When you're overwhelmed, you need to start cutting things out. And I'm overwhelmed too much. What's happening now is that I'm going back to black and white. My gray area is shutting down." Part of that has meant she and her team are working almost incessantly. "I'm working like this now so that I don't have to in the future. I know I will want to live differently," she said. The statement sparked a question about where Rihanna sees herself in a decade. "Ten years? I'll be 42! I'll be ancient," she joked. "I'll have kids β three or four of 'em." Asked if she'd she be open to being a single mom if she hasn't found the right partner, Rihanna, who recently split from Hassaan Jameel, had this to share: "Hell, yeah. I feel like society makes me want to feel like, 'Oh, you got it wrongβ¦' They diminish you as a mother if there's not a dad in your kids' lives. But the only thing that matters is happiness, that's the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That's the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."
