Eva Mendes
After a talent manager saw her photo in a friend's portfolio, Eva Mendes quit studying marketing at California State Northridge to pursue acting. After a string of horrible films like Children Of The Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998) and Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000), her decision to show some skin (and by some, we really mean all) as Denzel Washington's wife in Training Day (2001) had casting folks and directors lining up to show her the money. Over the next four years, she banked blockbusters (2 Fast 2 Furious, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Out of Time, Stuck On You, Hitch) like nobody's business and became the new face of Revlon. The Latina looker, who appeared in Will Smith's "Miami" music video, also lent her beestung lips, perfectly arched brows and trademark cheek mole to Calvin Klein. The packed schedule, lack of privacy and easy access to the nightlife eventually took a toll and Mendes checked herself into rehab Utah's Cirque Lodge for several weeks. Mendes has since seemed to be pickier when choosing roles as an actress (The Other Guys, Girl In Progress) and has shown interest in going behind the camera as a director and producer. She quietly split from longtime love George Augusto and became the envy of many when she was spied holding hands with Ryan "Hey, girl" Gosling at Disneyland. The Place Beyond The Pines costars met on the set and have been linked since 2011.
