Jesse James
Jesse James developed a love of motorcycles very early on. His abusive father's antiques shop was located next to a Harley-Davidson parts supplier and he was given his first dirtbike at 7. The natural tinkerer eventually turned to football, but after two injury-filled seasons with the UC Riverside team, he was forced to retire and he subsequently dropped out of college. While working as a bodyguard for Slayer and Soundgarden, he visited bike shops in his spare time and when a dislocated shoulder sidelined him from security work in 1993, he finally followed his dream of building custom rides. After apprenticing, he started West Coast Choppers in his Long Beach garage. The business struggled until Discovery Channel chose his shop to highlight in 2001's "Motorcycle Mania" documentary, which led to A-list clients like Kid Rock and Keanu Reeves and his own show Monster Garage. He expanded to include a magazine, a clothing line and the Cisco Burger restaurant. He married Karla in 1991, had Chandler and Jesse Jr. and divorced her in 2002. That same year he married adult-film actress Janine Lindemulder and they had daughter Sunny before splitting in 2004. The next year brought a marriage with Sandra Bullock. They broke up five years later after he admitted to cheating. A brief engagement to Kat Von D was followed by tying the knot in 2013 with drag racer Alexis DeJoria.
