Nick Lachey
After attending the creative arts high school, Nick Lachey dropped out of Ohio's Miami University to head to Hollywood in 1995 to form 98 Degrees with Jeff Timmons, Justin Jaffre and his younger brother Drew. While they never enjoyed the level of success of their boy band peers Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, they got a record deal, released three albums, found Top 20 chart success with "Invisible Man" and "Because Of You" and reunited to tour in 2013. His fame allowed him to cross paths with Jessica Simpson at a parade in 1998. They became newlyweds in October 2002 and allowed their odd couple-ish dynamic to be filmed for a MTV reality show. Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica, which used "This I Swear" from his first solo CD SoulO as its theme, became America's favorite guilty pleasure instantly in 2003. Their 2004 variety special drew an audience of 11.5 million, but the honeymoon period was over by November 2005. He found solace in reportedly rebounding with Cheryl Burke, Kim Kardashian and Kristin Cavallari and chronicled his heartbreak on his second solo project, 2006's What's Left of Me. Vanessa Minnillo appeared in the title song's video and before his divorce was even final, she had become a constant companion. After three years together, the couple took a temporary timeout in 2009, but were engaged in November 2010, married in July 2011 and parents to son Camden in September 2012. Lachey a part owner Triple-A baseball team the Tacoma Rainiers, has also acted (American Dreams, Charmed) and provided sports commentary for ESPN's College Gameday.
