Tarek El Moussa asks for ideas to entertain kids as Christina honeymoons in Bora Bora
Even temporary single parenthood is not for the faint of heart. Tarek El Moussa is currently handling the kids he shares with his ex-wife, Christina El Moussa, full-time, as Christina continues her honeymoon in Bora Bora with Ant Anstead. While Christina and Ant get their PDA on in French Polynesia, Tarek has been busy entertaining 8-year-old Taylor and 3-year-old Brayden and he's starting to run outta gas. "Okay….dad is exhausted but daddy duty called so we went to 'Winter Wonderland,'" the "Flip or Flop" co-host captioned an Instagram pic that showed him with the kids by a Christmas tree on Sunday, Jan. 6. "As all parents know, and future parents will learn…," he added, "the kids are the boss😂😂😂." According to Us Weekly, Tarek has also been transporting his little ones all over the place, from play dates in the park to snowboarding activities. His itinerary seems to be waning, though. "Did you guys do anything fun this weekend!!??" he asked his followers on Sunday. "I need some ideas!" Christina and Ant said "I do" in a secret ceremony last month. She and her HGTV co-star ex have committed to co-parenting their kids since they split.

Kim Kardashian West thanks Tennessee governor for granting clemency to Cyntoia Brown
Another convict has been granted clemency after Kim Kardashian West helped bring her plight to the attention of the appropriate authorities. TMZ reports Tennessee inmate Cyntoia Brown was granted parole and is due to be released Aug. 7 after 15 years. Cyntoia, was convicted of killing a man she says used her as a sex slave when she was 16. When Kim learned about the case, she got her attorney, Shawn Holley involved and helped boost publicity about the situation. Eventually, with help from Kim's lawyer, who called the District Attorney's Office to make a plea for Cyntoia's release, the campaign was successful. "I am thankful for all the support, prayers, and encouragement I have received," Cyntoia said in a statement. "I am thankful to my lawyers and their staffs, and all the others who, for the last decade have freely given their time and expertise to help me get to this day. I love all of you and will be forever grateful. With God's help, I am committed to live the rest of my life helping others, especially young people. My hope is to help other young girls avoid ending up where I have been." Kim previously met with Donald Trumpt o discuss prison reform and discussed the cases of Alice Marie Johnson and Matthew Charles with him before they, too, were granted clemency. After hearing Cyntoia's good news, Kim tweeted a "thank you" filled with applause Emojis to Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam.

Who needs a schmancy Golden Globes afterparty when there's a perfectly good box of Fruity Pebbles and a fluffy comforter back at the hotel? Lady Gaga snagged the best song award at the 2019 Golden Globes for "Shallow" from "A Star Is Born" and as celebs and their entourages packed themselves into late-night throw-downs all over Los Angeles after the show, a happy looking Mother Monster appears to have climbed into bed, hardware in hand, with a bowl of her favorite cereal. The Church of Satan, Liz Cheney respond to Christian Bale's shout-out during Globes acceptance speech
Twitter's been having a field day with Christian Bale's Golden Globes thank-you "to Satan for giving me inspiration on how to play" former Vice President Dick Cheney in the satirical film, "Vice," which earned him a trophy for Best Actor. Welp, it seems Satan worshipers watched the Golden Globes Sunday night, too. Because by Monday morning, the Church of Satan had issued the following statement on Christian's acceptance speech shout-out (via TheBlast): "To us, Satan is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential. As Mr. Bale's own talent and skill won him the award, this is fitting." The church signed off, appropriately, with, "Hail Christian Hail Satan!" Alas, the former veeps's daughter, Republican congresswoman, Liz Cheney, didn't find any of this funny and voiced her own comment on Twitter: "Satan probably inspired him to do this, too. Christian Bale arrested for 'assault on mother and sister.'" She then posted a link to a story about the actor's 2008 arrest, which came after an argument between Christian, who denied having gotten physical with anyone, and his mother. The fight reportedly involved Christian yelling "obscenities" at his mom after she insulted his wife. The authorities later dismissed the charge, having found insufficient evidence of assault, according to the Daily Beast.
Mahershala Ali addresses 'Green Book' controversy at the Golden Globes
Mahershala Ali's Best Actor in a Supporting Role Golden Globe victory was bittersweet. His film, "Green Book" — based on a true story about black pianist Don Shirley touring in the Jim Crow South — has been vehemently criticized by Shirley's family members, who say Shirley never developed the unexpected friendship with his racist driver, Tony Vallelonga, that's central to the film's plot. The family has also said they were never consulted on the movie. After winning the Globe on Sunday night, Ali addressed the controversy in the press room. "I will say this," he told reporters, according to the New York Post. "My job is always the same: I have to look at what I am doing and be responsible for it." Ali added that he didn't want to "throw away" the hard work so many had contributed to the movie. "I respect the family … and Doc Shirley," Ali added. "I spoke to the studio and the family and at the end of the day, you wish everyone was happy and you don't want to offend anyone in any capacity."

A girl's gotta have priorities. Julia Roberts and her husband, Danny Moder, also hit the go-to post awards show fast-food spot. Hailey Baldwin opens up about her vulnerabilities, urges other women to support one another
In the months since she tied the knot with Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin has arguably become the focus of more public attention than ever. It sounds like the spotlight may be taking a toll on her, too. In a long Instagram post over the weekend, she told followers her goals for 2019 were "to be more open, I want to be more open about the things I struggle with, and be able to be more vulnerable," noting that at 22, "no matter how amazing life may look from the outside I struggle…" She went on to share her vulnerabilities and admit that she struggles with self-confidence. "I'm insecure, I'm fragile, I'm hurting, I have fears, I have doubts, I have anxiety, I get sad, I get angry. I have had more days than I can count where I've found myself scrolling through Instagram comparing myself, comparing my looks, feeling like I'm not good enough feeling like I lack so many things and really struggling to be confident in who I am because I constantly feel like I'm just not good enough. Every single day is a confidence battle for me," Hailey wrote. "I'm not writing this for a pity party or for sympathy but just to simply say, I'm a human.. I'm a young woman, I'm learning who I am and, it's REALLY FREAKING HARD. It's hard finding who you are, but what's even harder is being picked apart and compared to other women while trying to do that." As she wound down the post, she said she has whole days where the criticism and comparisons make her feel "broken." "It would be incredible if other young girls and women could find it in themselves to lift each other up, to stop making other women who are struggling JUST LIKE THEM, feel incompetent and less than. We ALL have flaws, and that will never change," she continued. "What I do know is, God made us individuals for a reason, with our own beauty, our own personalities, and our own story because there's a specific plan and purpose for each and every human created and he makes no mistakes!!" In conclusion, Hailey added "So this year I'm gonna do my very best to just be ME and be confident with who I am. Cause I am enough, and I'm loved, and you are enough and you're loved."
Jada Pinkett Smith asks fans why R. Kelly's Spotfy streams are spiking after 'Surviving R. Kelly' premiere
Jada Pinkett Smith spent some time over the weekend trying to understand why "Surviving R. Kelly" inspired an uptick in R. Kelly's Spotify streams in spite of the documentary's focus on allegations of the singer's physical, mental and sexual abuse. "How is it that R Kelly's music sales have spiked (substantially) since the release of the docuseries Surviving R Kelly? I need some help in understanding. What am I missing???" she captioned a clip of herself wearing a towel around her head and speaking into the camera on Instagram. "I'm having a really difficult time understanding why," she told viewers. "But I think it's important I understand why." She then asked followers to share their thoughts "even if I'm missing something I don't necessarily agree with." A slew of people replied, including one who suggested, "I think a lot of people that have enough stock in the #metoo movement to watch the docuseries don't know much of his music besides 'ignition' and are curious what talent they are discussing. I, too, want to listen to his songs that I do not know, but I know that only benefits him, so I haven't played a single song." Said another: "People are now listening to it differently, with a different ear. I REALLY HOPE it is NOT to give him any positive recognition or just because his name is in the media right now they want to sound relevant they want to be listening to it." A number of commenters also defended the artist and bashed Jada for getting involved, though by Monday, more seemed to be using the comments section to urge others not to play his music.
Ellen DeGeneres' brother weighs in on her support of Kevin Hart amid backlash
In the wake of a scandal over homophobic tweets Kevin Hart posted years ago, he seems unlikely to have a change of heart about the Oscar hosting gig he declined because of the scrutiny. That hasn't kept the Twitterverse from bickering over whether he should host the awards, though, nor has it kept Twitter trolls from talking smack about Kevin's supporters, including Ellen DeGeneres, who welcomed him on her show and urged him to host. CNN's Don Lemon, among others, have criticized Ellen for her interview with the comic, prompting Ellen's brother, comedian, actor and musician Vance DeGeneres to weigh in on the situation over the weekend. "Regarding my sister – no good deed goes unpunished," Vance tweeted on Saturday, Jan. 5. "All she's ever done is try to help make the world a better, kinder, more compassionate place. And she's paid the price for her efforts. You may want to pick on someone who actually deserves your criticism." On the same day Vance's post surfaced, Kevin commented on the backlash he's faced over the whole thing. "When did we get to the point where we forgot that we all learn, then we all have the ability to grow and with that growth comes a wealth of knowledge," he wrote. "You can't change without a understanding of what GROWTH means. #Message #LiveLoveLaugh #HappySaturday …..Please grasp this and use it in 2019."
