Romance rumors hit Tiffany Haddish and Common again this week after Bumble posted a clip showing the two flirting via video chat and thanking them for sharing their "virtual date" with Instagram. The Bumble post came on the heels of a reference Tiffany made to isolating with Common weeks earlier during an interview with Cedric the Entertainer. And the pair were spotted leaving a party together way back in 2018. So are they really dating — or is Tiffany just doing her job as a paid spokeswoman for the dating app? Hoda Kotb invited her onto "Today" on Wednesday, April 22, to find out. The virtual date, by the way, seemed to be all about showing off the social distancing approved capabilities Bumble's made available for users. But there was also definitely chemistry between the stars, who complimented one another, ordered food (separately), dined virtually together and even shared a dance. They ended their "date" by using the "L" word and saying they wanted to see one another again. When Hoda asked what the deal was with Tiffany's relationship with Common, Tiffany shut down the rumors — sort of. "We went on a virtual Bumble date," Tiffany told the anchor when she appeared on video chat (via E! News). Then she paused, switched gears, and jokingly yelled, "Get out of my bedroom, Hoda!"Finally, Tiffany made it seem as if she's super single by telling Hoda, "Now it's just me in my bedroom and all of my clean clothes. I piled all the clean clothes next to me so it feels like somebody's in the bed." Which leaves us … unconvinced.

Of course, she may not have a name in mind simply because she's too focused on the task at hand. After all, when the outlet asks Chloe to describe her "idea of fun" right now, she says, understandably, "pushing this bebe out."

Beyonce, Twitter's Jack Dorsey team up on $6M COVID-19 relief initiative

Twitter CEO and Square founder Jack Dorsey is making good on his promise to pour nearly a third of his wealth into coronavirus relief efforts, and he's got some serious star power on his team to get the ball rolling. After partnering with Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation on a multimillion-dollar grant to support victims of domestic violence amid the pandemic, Dorsey announced a new venture with Beyonce this week. The singer and web entrepreneur are teaming up via her BeyGOOD charity and his #startsmall LLC to funnel $6 million of support to mental health and wellness services for essential workers in Houston, New York City, New Orleans and Detroit, where "communities of color are suffering by epic proportions due to the COVID pandemic," according to Beyonce.com. "In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis," the website announcement continues. Beyonce's team goes on to say the funding will be directed towards "local, community-based organizations," as well as UCLA and the National Alliance in Mental Illness to achieve its goal of support in the designated cities.

As Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced plans to reopen the state's nonessential businesses on Friday, April 24, in spite of this week's large spikes in both confirmed cases and death rates in Georgia, he faced backlash from a wide array of critics. Those included public health officials, President Donald Trump, Sen. Lindsay Graham (R., S.C.) — and Atlanta transplant Cardi B. Fresh off her latest social media interview with Bernie Sanders, the rapper chimed in on the comments after the Instagram account for Baller Alert reposted news of Kemp's announcement, according to Complex. In her comment, Cardi reminded fellow Georgia residents that jumping back into an open economy would mean more illnesses and more deaths. "DONT GO AROUND YOUR PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS!" she urged. She went on to point out the solitary nature of a hospitalized COVID-19 patient's stay. "Once there sick and in the hospital wit covid you won't be able to see how and what they treating them with. They will literally have them die slow !" she wrote. "They are not nurturing covid patience with the proper foods ,tea to boost their immunes.STRAIGHT MEDICATION ! Your parents , grandparents or YOU will most likely pass by yourself in a cold hospital with no physical contact with your love ones." Vivica A. Fox: Uma Thurman advised me to be 'more manipulative' with Quentin Tarantino on set

Vivica A. Fox recently revealed she learned a valuable career lesson from Uma Thurman while working on her martial arts skills for her role as Vernita Green in the "Kill Bill" movies. "We were training for 'Kill Bill' and [director] Quentin [Tarantino] was getting on my nerves, baby, because every Friday he would critique you," Vivica told TooFab this week. "And it was like, 'You didn't do this right, you didn't do this right,' and I was like, 'Are we doing anything right?'" Apparently, the rest of the cast and crew were stunned by Vivica's forthrightness when it came to dealing with Quentin and his notorious perfectionism. "But Uma later pulled me to the side — and I love her for this –she said, 'Vivica, you can get whatever you want, but you have to realize he has the power to fire you and Quentin ain't no joke,'" Vivica recalled Uma saying. "[Uma said,] 'Sweetheart, you can get whatever you want in life but learn to be more manipulative. Don't go in there like a bull in the china store, just knocking everything over, talking out of turn and doing too much.'" Wilmer Valderrama to focus on essential workers' experiences on new IG Live show

These days, we're all focused on staying 6 feet apart. But Wilmer Valderrama sees a chance for people to better understand each other amid the social distancing mandated by the coronavirus pandemic. That's why the actor has launched an Instagram Live series called "6 Feet Apart," where he'll interview essential workers about their experiences. He had the idea after chatting with grocery store employees, one of whom admitted they didn't understand why "people are being mean to us." Speaking to CNN, Wilmer explained: "I wanted to create conversations … that unite us all and humanize a lot of the conversations that we're seeing in the news. I was inspired by that after going to the grocery store and seeing a lot of our grocery store workers feeling kind of down and deflated and as I asked questions I started realizing they were getting kind of a beating from a lot of frustrated customers." The first episode aired Wednesday, April 22 and featured Wilmer talking with a farmer. He told CNN grocery store workers and truck drivers were next on his list of guest interviewees. His goal, he said, is to "create an ecosystem of conversation" that will bring people together. "Hopefully we can lead with kindness and be a little more conscious and aware and thoughtful," he added. In interviews, on social media and on his show, Wilmer is also urging fans and viewers to "over-tip the people that are out there"

Twitter gives Anderson Cooper props as his interview with Las Vegas mayor goes viral

Anderson Cooper was the man of the news hour for much of Wednesday, April 22. That's thanks to his bananas interview with Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, who somehow worked random comments about everything from West Nile Virus to atomic bomb testing into her push for reopening the city on "360." As Cooper looked increasingly appalled and distraught, Goodman took opposition to social distancing and offered to open all the casinos and hotels in Vegas, thereby making her constituents "a control group" for the rest of the nation. The whole thing was received with a mix of emotion on Twitter, where users praised Cooper for making it through 25 minutes of conversation with the mayor and wondered if Goodman had perhaps been given "all the drink tickets" prior to the interview (via ET). Jimmy Kimmel tweeted about it, as well, calling Goodman "dangerously misguided." Later, on his show, he rehashed the strangest moments from the Cooper-Goodman exchange in his monologue. After replaying a moment where Cooper asks how reopening casinos would work, given how close everything and everyone is by design inside them — "That's up to them," Goodman said, "I don't own a casino," — Kimmel laughed. "If you watch that back," he noted (via The Wrap), "you can see the moment where Anderson's soul leaves his body."

Biden campaign refunds donation from Louis CK

Louis CK is still struggling with the fallout from sexual misconduct allegations made against him in a 2017 New York Times article. Time reports the comic, who has said he's "remorseful" about his behavior toward the five women who accused him, donated $2,800 to Democrat Joe Biden's presidential campaign in early March. That money has been refunded, a rep for the campaign told Time. As of Thursday, April 23, the comic had not replied to a request for comment.
