On Sept. 8, 2017, our favorite celebrity girl next door, Reese Witherspoon, returns to the big screen with the release of her latest romantic comedy, "Home Again," in which she plays a newly single mom who rediscovers herself (and what love means) after moving three young, very attractive men into her home. In honor of Reese's newest movie, Wonderwall.com is counting down some of her best on-screen love interests in order of hotness… starting with a Hollywood twin who was the very first star to steal her heart. Keep reading to find out where other famously fine men (like Mark Wahlberg and Chris Pine) landed on our sigh-worthy list!
No. 22: Jason London as Court Foster in "The Man in the Moon"
Any true Reese Witherspoon fan will remember Jason London (the twin brother of actor Jeremy London) as Court Foster — the handsome young neighbor in "The Man in the Moon" who kissed Reese's Dani Trant before falling head-over-heels in love with her sister, Maureen. While we all swooned when Reese and Jason locked lips, he gets last place for breaking her character's heart.

No. 21: Paul Rudd as Wyatt Trip in "Overnight Delivery"
Paul Rudd has always been adorable, but we loved him most as Wyatt Trip in "Overnight Delivery." Wyatt travels across the country with a stripper named Ivy (Reese Witherspoon) to intercept a breakup letter he sent to his girlfriend. On their crazy journey, Wyatt realizes he's actually in love with Ivy. No one could blame him. Fun fact: Paul also starred alongside Reese in 2010's "How Do You Know."
No. 20: Matthew Davis as Warner in "Legally Blonde"
We might like Matthew Davis (c'mon, look at the guy!) but we didn't like his character, Warner Huntington III, in "Legally Blonde." As the patronizing boyfriend of Elle (Reese Witherspoon), he pulled a major jerk move when he broke her heart and replaced her with a girlfriend more suited to his political aspirations (Selma Blair). Your loss, Warner. We all knew Elle was the total package.
No. 19: Adam Scott as Ed Mackenzie on "Big Little Lies"
Adam Scott has a hipster hotness we can't explain, but he's even hotter as Ed Mackenzie, Madeline's (Reese Witherspoon) husband on "Big Little Lies." While Ed's been in the dark about his wife's extramarital activities, there's no doubt he loves her and his family with all his heart.
No. 18: Vince Vaughn as Brad in "Four Christmases"
Vince Vaughn has long been one of our secret crushes, but he started to lose some major cute points when he played Brad, an eternal boyfriend not looking for marriage or kids, in "Four Christmases." Of course, when Brad realizes he's at risk of losing lady love Kate (Reese Witherspoon), he has a total change of heart (and we did too).
No. 17: Luke Wilson as Emmett in "Legally Blonde"
As Elle in "Legally Blonde," Reese Witherspoon spent a lot of time trying to win back her ex, but it was her budding romance with Emmett (Luke Wilson) that had us feeling all the feels. Thankfully, Emmett eventually won Elle's heart — and our eternal adoration.
No. 16: Owen Wilson as Matty in "How Do You Know"
We didn't pick Matty, Owen Wilson's character from "How Did You Know," because he was a solid love match for Reese Witherspoon's Lisa. Rather, we picked Matty because he's weirdly handsome and charismatic, even though he's a chronic cheater who didn't really understand what love was. Sometimes, a cute face and sense of humor can cause us to do things we'll regret. We get it, Lisa.
No. 15: Mark Ruffalo as David in "Just Like Heaven"
How could we not have fallen hard for David (Mark Ruffalo) in "Just Like Heaven," especially when he risked everything to save Kate (Reese Witherspoon) from dying because he'd fallen in love with her spirit apparition?! Long story short — supernatural love affairs like theirs give us all major romance goals.
No. 14: Robert Pattinson as Jacob in "Water for Elephants"
Robert Pattinson is the master of soulful, lingering looks and tender on-screen kisses, which he brought in full force as Jacob in "Water for Elephants." How Reese Witherspoon (who played an elephant-loving circus performer named Marlena) didn't completely melt in his embrace is anyone's guess.
No. 13: Ryan Phillippe as Sebastian Valmont in "Cruel Intentions"
Why do bad boys always make us feel so good? We loved Sebastian (Ryan Phillippe) even when he was taking part in an elaborate deception to seduce Annette (Reese Witherspoon) in "Cruel Intentions." His redemption came too late, however, when he saved Annette from certain death by sacrificing himself. In real life, Ryan and Reese became smitten with one another while filming and married in 1999 before welcoming two kids. Their marriage ended in 2007.
No. 12: Mark Wahlberg as David McCall in "Fear"
This ranking is solely based on how hot Mark Wahlberg was in "Fear" opposite Reese Witherspoon because his murderous character, David, was actually terrifying. Like, seriously, no guy is so good-looking that it's okay that they murder your friends and family dog. Boy bye.
No. 11: Alessandro Nivola as Nick in "Best Laid Plans"
Maybe Nick (Alessandro Nivola) is pulling a terrible con on his old friend in "Best Laid Plans" and maybe his girlfriend Lissa (Reese Witherspoon) is in on the deceit, but dang — his sexy brown eyes and smoldering gaze get us every time.
No. 10: Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash in "Walk the Line"
We absolutely loved Joaquin Phoenix's performance as Johnny Cash in "Walk the Line" and were hooked on the romance that developed between him and June Carter (Reese Witherspoon). The only reason he's in 10th place and not first is because he didn't always treat his beloved June as well as she deserved. Sorry, Joaquin — it's nothing personal.
No. 9: Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho"
We really hate it when psychotic serial killers like Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale, left) are so damn attractive that they make all the murdering seem like a potentially fixable flaw. Thankfully, his fiancée, Evelyn (Reese Witherspoon), didn't see just how dark and twisty her main squeeze really was.
No. 8: Josh Lucas as Jake Perry in "Sweet Home Alabama"
It's hard to deny true love. When Jake Perry (Josh Lucas) took one look at his soon-to-be ex-wife Melanie (Reese Witherspoon) in "Sweet Home Alabama," it was clear to anyone with eyeballs that his feelings were just as strong then as the day they first declared their love for one another. The rest of the movie was basically us waiting for him to admit it and for Melanie to realize she felt the same.
No. 7: Santiago Cabrera as Joseph Bachman in "Big Little Lies"
On "Big Little Lies," handsome Joseph Bachman (Santiago Cabrera) owns the local theater in town and has a big, dark secret — he's having an affair with the very married Madeline (Reese Witherspoon). While his impulsivity and passion are exciting at first, they cause Madeline to push back and cling even tighter to her marriage.
No. 6: Stephen Dorff as Cliff Spab in "S.F.W."
Rebellious Cliff Spab (Stephen Dorff) didn't plan on being a hero in "S.F.W." (short for "So F—ing What?"), but after 36 days of being held at gunpoint along with Wendy (Reese Witherspoon), he risked his life to win their freedom. While his plan ultimately worked, the media storm that followed meant he wasn't as free as he'd imagined.
No. 5: Patrick Dempsey as Andrew Hennings in "Sweet Home Alabama"
When Patrick Dempsey starred as Andrew Hennings, the eligible bachelor engaged to Melanie Smooter (Reese Witherspoon) in "Sweet Home Alabama," we all gave a collective sigh. Just a flash of his sparkling blue eyes and wide, pearly grin had us wishing we could swap places with Melanie and live happily ever after.
No. 4: Tom Hardy as Tuck in "This Means War"
If only we could go on a date with a hunky CIA operative like Tuck (Tom Hardy) from "This Means War" — who would then engage in covert warfare with his best friend to win our hearts. Sadly for us, Lauren Scott (Reese Witherspoon) got all his top-secret attention.
No. 3: Chris Pine as FDR Foster in "This Means War"
While undercover CIA agent FDR Foster (Chris Pine) was busy wooing Lauren Scott (Reese Witherspoon) in "This Means War," his best friend (and fellow agent) was also trying to win her heart. Lucky for FDR, Lauren ultimately chose him (look at his eyes, it was a no-brainer) to be her main squeeze.
No. 2: Paul Walker as Skip Martin in "Pleasantville"
One of the hottest on-screen romances Reese Witherspoon has ever had is undoubtedly with the late Paul Walker in "Pleasantville." The hotness wasn't because of the rather tame storyline, in which Paul played Skip Martin, the captain of the basketball team who's eager to date Reese's Mary Sue. Rather, it was Paul's perfectly sculpted cheekbones, baby blues and innocent smile that made us all swoon hard.
No. 1: Michiel Huisman as Jonathan in "Wild"
Nothing got our tongues hanging out more than when Cheryl Strayed (played by Reese Witherspoon) met up with tall, dark and handsome Jonathan (Michiel Huisman) while hiking the Pacific Coast Trail in the film "Wild." Their following night of passion (which included shots of the former "Game of Thrones" star sans shirt) were enough to launch him straight to our No. 1 spot.
