More legal drama for Brad Pitt and his Make It Right Foundation as one of the nonprofit's homes is tagged for demolition

Another house built by Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina is set to be demolished — as Brad and the foundation face legal action from a woman who claims the star pocketed some $40,000 for appearances he failed to make at fundraisers she arranged. In the latter case, the Daily Mail reports lawyers for Brad and Make It Right filed a motion to dismiss the suit Monday, saying Brad has never met Kelli and knew nothing about her until her lawyers contacted his with breach of contract claims. Brad's lawyers also say Kelli herself has admitted she believes she was scammed by a "fake Brad Pitt" who even discussed marriage with her at some point. The blighted Make It Right home in New Orleans, meanwhile, is part of a larger set of legal problems the foundation continues to face. According to Nola.com, the city of New Orleans recently tacked a "Notice of Emergency Demolition" on a home in the Lower Ninth Ward that was designed by Ghanaian-British architect David Adjaye and appears to have been falling apart since the person who bought it in 2011 for $130,000 sold it back to the organization in 2013. The blighted structure will reportedly be destroyed because it's "in imminent danger of collapse and/or threat to life," according to a notice on the exterior. Nola.com adds that the city will charge Make It Right with the $7,085 cost of tearing it down. The foundation broke ground on 109 homes in New Orleans in 2008 in an effort to provide sustainable housing options after Katrina sparked multiple levee and flood wall breaches that flooded 80 percent of the city and destroyed most of the Lower Ninth Ward. Despite the foundation's good intentions and A-list architects, the houses ended up igniting multiple legal battles as residents uncovered dangerous structural and design flaws that allegedly created issues ranging from mold to electrical malfunctions. Make It Right sued the lumber company it used to source materials for the homes in 2015, having determined their products were faulty. Three years later, the nonprofit was sued by homeowners in a class action suit stemming from the problematic structures. That same year, Make It Right filed suit against John C. Williams, the principal architect associated with the project. No decision has been reached in either case, according to Nola.com.

Britney Spears' latest conservatorship filing seems to suggest she might be done performing

Britney Spears and her dad, Jamie Spears, don't see eye to eye when it comes to her future in music and his role in her affairs. That was the gist of new court documents Britney's lawyers filed in response to a complaint from Jamie about potentially expanding the singer's legal team in the ongoing battle over her conservatorship. Britney, the new filing states (via ET), doesn't share the "vision of a future in which she resumes performing and leaves the management of her estate completely to [her father] as she did in the past." Her lawyers go on to say she needs enough, "qualified litigation counsel available in order to place her on a level playing field with" her dad as she continues to fight to remove him from his long-running leadership position in her conservatorship. As for the reference to Britney's plans to return to performing, it's not the first time doubt's been cast on her interest in pursuing music at this point. Back in March, her son Jayden said on Instagram Live that she's told him she "might quit."

David Foster is going to be a dad again at 71. People confirmed Thursday that Katharine McPhee, 36, is expecting her first child with the 16-time Grammy winner. The couple, who celebrated their 1-year wedding anniversary in June, reportedly hit a few stores on a baby-related shopping mission in Montecito, California, earlier this week. Joe Biden references Taylor Swift 'Reputation' opener

On Tuesday, Taylor Swift went on the record with her support for Joe Biden — and the feeling seems to be mutual. After the singer tweeted, "I spoke to @vmagazine about why I'll be voting for Joe Biden for president …," ahead of the Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence (and a certain, now infamous fly), Biden replied — with a "Reputation" reference in his tweet. "Taylor — Thanks for your support and for speaking out at this crucial moment in our nation's history," the Democratic presidential candidate posted. "Election Day is right around the corner," he added, "– are you ready for it?" It was a nod to Taylor's 2017 album, "Reputation," which opens with the track, "… Ready For It?" Though she used to be silent on politics as a rule, Taylor seems more than ready for the chance to use her platform to share those opinions today. In her V Magazine interview, she asserted, "The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included." She touched on the coronavirus pandemic, as well, seemingly referencing Donald Trump's choices with regard to COVID-19. "Everyone deserves a government that takes global health risks seriously and puts the lives of its people first," Taylor said. "The only way we can begin to make things better is to choose leaders who are willing to face these issues and find ways to work through them."

'SNL' cuts musical guest Morgan Wallen for violating COVID-19 safety protocols

"Saturday Night Live" is taking no chances with COVID-19 as the show resumes live production this fall. On Wednesday, the show's planned musical guest for this weekend, Morgan Wallen, announced in an Instagram video shot from a hotel room in New York City that "SNL" was scrapping his performance because he violated coronavirus safety protocols. The post came after Morgan appeared in a TikTok video that showed him without a mask on, drinking while surrounded by people at a party who are also not wearing masks. Calling his "actions this past weekend … pretty shortsighted," he said his decision to party without a mask was now affecting his "long-term goals and … dreams," and took responsibility for his error in judgment. "I respect the show's decision because I know ​that I put them in jeopardy and I take ownership for this. I'd like to apologize to 'SNL,' to my fans, to my team for bringing me these opportunities and I let them down," he said in the clip. "I wish I could have made country music and my fans proud this Saturday, but I respect the decision once again," Morgan added.
