Carrie Underwood talks plastic surgery rumors: 'I just don't care'

Early in 2018, Carrie Underwood began making her way back to social media and public appearances after spending much of last year laying low because of a fall that left her with 40-50 stitches in her face and a broken wrist. Critics and skeptics including Wendy Williams questioned whether Carrie had gone under the knife to fix the resulting scars at the time. Now, in a new cover story for Redbook, Carrie addresses the plastic surgery rumors directly. "Any time someone gets injured, it looks pretty bad in the beginning, and you're like, 'What is this going to wind up like?' You just don't know," she explains. "It was also a perception thing, because I look at myself [now] and I see it quite a bit, but other people are like, 'I wouldn't have even noticed.' Nobody else looks at you as much as you think they do. Nobody notices as much as you think they will, so that's been nice to learn." The other aspect to the plastic surgery rumors was that the accident she endured at her home had been a P.R. stunt to get attention for her forthcoming sixth studio album. According to Carrie, that's not at all what happened. "I'm on some magazine every other week for something crazy. It's a little sad, because the truth is just as interesting," she says, joking, "I wish I'd gotten some awesome plastic surgery to make this [scar] look better. But I try not to worry too much about it. My mom will be like, 'Did you see they are saying this about you?' And I'll be like, 'Mama, I don't care. I'm just trying to raise my son and live my life.'" Carrie's new album, "Cry Pretty," is due out Sept. 14.

Leslie Jones and Chris Evans' Twitter exchange is comedy gold

"What's truly shocking is that this is EXACTLY what [Paul Bettany] says to me every time I enter a room. Verbatim." Why people think Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are about to start a family

It's safe to say the tabs are getting desperate for some baby news from royal newlyweds Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. In June, the National Enquirer claimed Meghan was pregnant with twins. Now, the fact that Harry's Audi RS6 Avant is listed for sale on Auto Trader somehow means the stork is ready to make a beeline for Kensington Palace. At least, that's what Auto Trader's editorial director, Erin Baker, takes the listing to mean. Pointing out the model is one of the fastest cars on the market, Erin says, "The car boasts a 17 reg and low mileage, so it begs the questions why is the Prince selling so soon? Maybe he's on the market for a bigger family car." Uh, OK. The Sun's happy to run with this notion, too, citing Prince William and Duchess Kate's pre-baby purchase of "a family-friendly Land Rover, which seats seven." For the record, the Audi seats five. And for those of you who have lost count, that means Meghan and Harry could pack multiple babies into that bad boy. Sorry to burst your bubble, royal watchers.

Prince George is the youngest person to ever make 'Britain's Best Dressed' list

Prince George just set a style record. The 5-year-old joined the ranks of British fashion plates like Amal Clooney on Tatler's 2018 "Britain's Best Dressed" list. He's the youngest person to ever make it on the list, according to Page Six. Hailed as a kid who "flies the flag for Christopher Robin chic," the mag says the sweaters, Crocs and virtually everything else George wears in public seems to end up selling out at major stores. The little prince's mom, Duchess Kate, and aunt, Duchess Meghan, are also included in this year's list.

Emmy Rossum, Stephanie Beatriz speak out about body image after Kim Kardashian's weight reveal

Over the weekend on Instagram Stories, Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian praised Kim Kardashian West's recent weight loss by joking that she must have an eating disorder to thank for her trimmer new figure. That didn't sit well with a lot of people. In addition to fans who criticized the glib manner in which Kendall, Khloe and Kim (who said "thank you" when Kendall said she was concerned she wasn't eating and and announced she weighs 119 lbs.) referenced the serious matter of eating disorders, Emmy Rossum took issue with the post. "The only time I was 119 pounds is when I had MONO. On a magazine shoot and everyone was 'freaking out over how good' I looked," Emmy recalled in her own Instagram Story post (via UsWeekly) on Tuesday, July 31. "I had lost ten pounds and was gaunt and sick and felt faint … It totally messed with my head … You never know what someone is going through. If you're having a tough time with body image, I promise you're beautiful and this feeling will pass. Today is just a moment. Practice some self-care and reboot. Take a bath. Take a walk. Take a yoga class. Make a healthy nutritious meal and watch your favorite funny movie. Tomorrow is another day." Emmy's comments surfaced around the same time as similar sentiments from actress Stephanie Beatriz. "Kim Kardashian saying what she weighs and her sisters complimenting her being so skinny is like eating my brain rn," Stephanie said on Instagram Stories. "There's only one time in my life when I ever weighed 119 pounds. It was right in the middle of a terrible relationship, and intense eating disorder, and I thought that I could be thinner and look even better. Everyone kept complimenting me on how I looked, and I felt desperate to stay at that weight. It sucked." In addition to sending love and support to Stephanie over social media, Emmy reposted this message from @i_weigh: "How much did Florence Nightingale weigh when she founded modern nursing? How much did Rosa Parks weigh when she took a seat on that bus? How much did Malala Yousafzai weigh when she started writing about the lives of girls in Pakistan living under Taliban rule? You don't know? That's the right answer! Because it doesn't matter." Stephanie reposted it as well. Later, on Twitter, Emmy added one final thought: "To be clear, someone's weight is between them and their health professionals. I have no opinion on this. My opinion is only on the danger of praising — even in jest — anorexia. Xo."

Amy Adams can't stop pocket-dialing Christina Applegate — with her cheeks

If you've ever avoided putting a work number in your phone for fear of the dreaded pocket-dial, Amy Adams feels your pain. As the "Backseat" star admitted during a chat with Seth Meyers on "Late Night" this week, she has accidentally Facetimed and called more than her fair share of celebs. "Christina Applegate — she's at the top of my call list," a repentant Amy told Seth (via E! News) "and I have fat cheeks. And I keep accidentally calling her when I smile during other phone calls. And then I don't say anything and hang up, which is really rude." So how often does this cheek-dialing business happen? Meh, maybe 300 times with Christina, she estimated. "It's not nice! So, I apologize," Amy said. She also admitted Jennifer Aniston is right there at the top of her contact list, too. Jen apparently got a FaceTime call from Amy recently while Amy was in bed, though she wasn't sure if the call connected. "I'm very very sorry," the distraught star offered. "It's very rude."

Leonardo DiCaprio backs eco-friendly shoe company

Since 1998, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation has donated $80 million towards efforts to protect the environment, from fighting climate change to protecting endangered species. For Leo's latest good samaritan venture, he's thrown some serious dough behind Allbirds, a sustainable shoe company that uses products ranging from eucalyptus to sugarcane (which appears in lieu of a plastic outersole on the brand's newest shoe) to create products that have been celebrated for their comfort and great designs, as well as their manufacturing. "Creating sustainable consumer products requires a deep commitment from brands that understand the role they have in helping solve our environmental crisis," Leo said in a statement published by THR. "Allbirds is on the forefront of developing new materials that will serve as a model for the footwear industry. This kind of innovation is crucial for creating a more sustainable future. I am proud to join the company as an investor." He later tweeted about Allbirds' devotion "to creating a more sustainable future by developing new materials and serving as a model for the footwear industry." Named a United Nations Messenger of Peace in 2014, Leo is also reportedly building an eco-friendly resort in Belize.

Travis Jenner sparks transphobia accusations with tweaked album art

Why was transgender icon Amanda Lepore cut out of the David LaChapelle-shot cover photo for Travis Scott's new album, "Astroworld?" That's what Amanda was left wondering after the rapper shared the final album art on social media this week. "It was great being part of @david_lachapelle s incredible photograph of @travisscott s albulm cover but I'm curious why I'm not on the picture @travisscott posted 💋❤️💄," she wrote, sharing a version of the same image — but one that included her. "A girl can't help it❗️Too distracting for the eyes ❗️Upstaged everyone in the photograph ❗️Oh well……….. I love @david_lachapelle and @travisscott ❗️Love and kisses 💋❤️💄," she concluded. The image itself takes the idea of Astroworld — a now shuttered Houston amusement park that Travis has said he went to as a kid growing up in H-Town — and turns it into a risque version of a theme park, with scantily clad, curvy women posing scattershot around a funhouse-style image of Travis' head. Reactions to Amanda's post quickly surfaced, many of them blasting Travis for making what they deemed to be a decision mired in transphobia. "u can tell exactly the mindset and beliefs of (presumably) travis and (specifically) his fans by the repulsive remarks they share about a very valid complaint about the artwork regardless of who's complaining. Grab a towel. Your phobias are showing," wrote "RuPaul's Drag Race" winner Aquaria (via Page Six). Travis, whose daughter with Kylie Jenner has a trans grandmother in Caitlyn Jenner, had not commented on the controversy as of Thursday, Aug. 2. The fashion photographer behind the image did speak out, though. "Stuff happens not everything's a hate situation," he wrote, adding that, "everybody wants to explain everything with some phobia or whatever … ain't nothing to do with hating."

Charlie Sheen says he's been 'blacklisted' in Hollywood, wants to cut back child support payments

Charlie Sheen wants to scale back the amount of child support he's paying his exes, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller. In documents excerpted by The Blast, the actor tells the court he has "been unable to find steady work, and [has] been blacklisted from many aspects of the entertainment industry." He says he currently has less than $10 million, owes debts to multiple creditors and is earning significantly less than when he was assigned the current pay scales he's been assigned to help cover the cost of raising Sam and Lola with Denise and Bob and Max with Brooke. He now reportedly forks over $20,000 a month to Denise and $55,000 a month to Denise. A hearing has been scheduled for September, according to The Blast.

Kourtney Kardashian opens up about watching her sisters become moms

With three new baby girls in the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kourtney Kardashian, the first of her sisters to become a mom, couldn't be more excited about the prospect of having so many little cousins around for her children, Mason, Penelope and Reign Disick, to grow up with. "It's such a blessing. I don't even know how we got here with so many babies but it's so amazing," Kourtney told E! News when asked what it was like to have Stormi Webster, Chicago West and True Thompson join the fam. "Just the fact that our kids can all grow up together … it's such a magical time in our family," she gushed. "It's amazing watching them. And I think I can also now say, 'Now you can see how I did it, why I was feeling this way,'" she continued. "I think we just relate to each other and I think you never know how you're going to be as a mom, so watching them and how they're doing it — like everyone has their own way. You really can't predict what you're going to be like. So I think just watching them is really, it's really special to see their journey." Asked if she'd be open to having a fourth child, Kourtney said on the last season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," "never say never."
