Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-June 2020, starting with this shocking news… On June 17, DailyMail.com reported that in new legal documents filed as part of Johnny Depp's $50 million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, a man named Josh Drew alleges that his ex-wife — Amber's best friend Raquel "Rocky" Pennington — told him Amber had an affair with Cara Delevingne while she and Johnny were still married. He also alleges that it was his "understanding" that Amber, Cara and Elon Musk had "a three-way affair" in late 2016 — six months after Amber filed to divorce the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star. Johnny has also suggested in other legal documents that Amber and Elon had an affair in 2015 — before the "Aquaman" actress filed for divorce in May 2016. The SpaceX founder, who dated the actress off and on from 2016 to early 2018, has long maintained that they didn't take their relationship to the next level until after she and Johnny split. On June 18, he released a statement to Page Six insisting that he and Cara are "friends" and have "never been intimate." He also doubled down on his previous claims that he and Amber "only started going out about a month after her divorce filing." It's official! Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly confirmed that they have, in fact, taken their relationship to the next level when they were snapped holding hands and smooching outside a bar in the Los Angeles area on June 15. (See the photos here.) That same day, the rapper-actor tweeted, "I'm calling you girlfriend" — a lyric from his song "Bloody Valentine" — and added that "life imitated art on that one." (Megan starred opposite MGK in the track's steamy music video.) Two days later, Us Weekly confirmed that, according to a source, the duo "have gotten more serious and are officially dating and referring to one another as boyfriend and girlfriend." Added the source, "They're enjoying spending more and more time together and have a strong connection."

Meanwhile, Megan Fox's estranged husband, Brian Austin Green, sparked rumors that he's moving on with Courtney Stodden when they were snapped picking up takeout from a Mexican restaurant in the Los Angeles area on June 13. (See photos here.) Three days later, TMZ reported that despite how things appeared, they're just friends. The actor and the blonde beauty reportedly met "about a month ago via social media," and after "some friendly chats" about "the possibility of creating music together," they "decided to meet up and hang out." The webloid notes that things between them are "platonic" for now, "but things could change." TMZ adds that Courtney, who recently finalized her divorce from Doug Hutchison, is "committed to herself and not looking for a relationship."

Raven-Symoné took to Instagram on June 18 to reveal that she and Miranda Maday recently tied the knot. "I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home. I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday! … I's married NOW," she captioned a photo of herself embracing her new missus, who also shared a video of herself kissing her "wife for life."
Fans were shocked when Kelly Clarkson filed to divorce her husband of almost seven years, Brandon Blackstock, earlier this month, and according to multiple media outlets, her friends were also surprised by the sudden split. On June 11, E! News reported that, according to one source, the breakup "came out of nowhere" and is "quite shocking" because the pop star and her hubby "were always such a loving family" and "it never seemed like they had any issues." The insider added that people who know the duo personally "have been texting each other over their disbelief that the couple is splitting." A second E! source said that Brandon was "around all the time" on the set of his wife's eponymous talk show. "They were very loving towards one another," said the source. An "Entertainment Tonight" source, meanwhile, said the duo just recently realized "the relationship hasn't been working for a while." Explained the insider, "Kelly and Brandon work together non-stop and that became a contention in their relationship. Brandon is the [executive producer] of her show, as well as her manager. Also, Kelly has always brought up wanting more children, which Brandon doesn't." A second "Entertainment Tonight" source claimed that the coronavirus pandemic played a role in the breakup: "Kelly and Brandon had been having problems for several months and were making a conscious effort to work things out. They both hoped quarantining away from L.A. in Montana would help them work things out in their marriage, but instead the change in environment was actually detrimental," said the source, noting that "those closest to them know it's been difficult." Continued the insider, "The constant time together seemed to make an already challenging situation worse. … [Her busy work schedule] definitely helped to keep her mind off things, but this recent downtime gave her the time she needed to think about her life and her marriage. … Kelly knew she just needed to follow her heart and finally realized divorce was her only option." As for the current state of their relationship, the "ET" source says that Kelly and Brandon had "both been dreading" starting the process of legally ending their marriage. "[They] haven't cut each other off; they are still talking to one another. They are both heartbroken, but their plan is to put [their two] kids first," said the source. "Their focus is on co-parenting and moving forward, as this is the last place they ever thought they would be. They both understand divorce is never easy for children, but Kelly and Brandon are great parents. It'll just take time." The insider adds that when it comes to their division of assets, "Kelly is very kindhearted, generous and giving, so Brandon will be just fine." On June 17, a People magazine source echoed the line that quarantining in Montana was "a stressful time" for Kelly and Brandon that "exacerbated any issues" they already had in their relationship. According to a second People source, they've "been like friends for a while." Said the insider, "Things had changed in their marriage and the split was a while coming. They both work so hard. It's nearly impossible to enjoy each other, especially with the children needing constant attention."
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson sparked a fresh round of reconciliation rumors when they were seen looking cozy together at a friend's birthday party that the basketball star hosted at his home in Los Angeles. On June 11, TMZ published video from the bash in which Tristan can be seen standing beside Khloe with an arm wrapped around her waist. According to the webloid, however, they're not back together. TMZ noted that the duo see each other every day but still live separately and "there's no change to their relationship status" — they're "still just friends and co-parents." The coronavirus pandemic has reportedly "given them a chance to hang out more and work on their friendship."
On June 11, multiple media outlets reported that Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt have been secretly dating for years. "It's been an open secret that they have been seeing each other," said a People magazine source, adding that "they're together all the time, but in private." Said one Page Six source, "They've been together for two years. Their relationship started well after their marriages ended. They are a great couple." Echoed a second Page Six source, "They are 100 percent dating." A third insider told the New York Post's gossip column, "Sean and Ainsley have been together for a while. They are quarantining together in Oyster Bay [in Long Island]. They have been seen together many times in the area." The "Hannity" host declined to comment on the romance rumors, telling Page Six, "I do not discuss my personal life in public." Ainsley, meanwhile, released a statement insisting that she and Sean are just friendly colleagues: "Right now I am focused on raising my daughter and I am not dating anyone," she said. "As anyone at Fox News will tell you, Sean is a wonderful person and whomever he chooses to date will be extremely fortunate." Yet another Page Six source said the romance rumors "started because Sean lives on Long Island, and Ainsley rented a house in the Hamptons during the pandemic." Said the insider, "Sean has a studio at his home, and Ainsley has been using his studio as her remote broadcast location for 'Fox & Friends.'" A likely story!
On the June 16 episode of her "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast with Rachel Lindsay, Becca Kufrin admitted that she and her fiancé, Garrett Yrigoyen, are on the rocks in the wake of his headline-making comments in support of the police amid Black Lives Matter protests. "For those who are curious about my relationship with Garrett at this point, all I can say right now is I don't know," she said. "I can't give anything more than that. It's something that we are trying to work through and discuss and do work on at home at this time and that's where the work will remain and that's really the best I can give you at this point." The former star of "The Bachelorette" has said that she doesn't agree with her beau's controversial viewpoints. They've faced several rounds of split rumors over the course of the past two years.
On June 8, Aaron Carter took to Instagram to announce that he and Melanie Martin are "back together" following a late-April split … during which he enjoyed an extremely public romance with another woman. Four days later, he announced that after less than five months of off-and-on dating, he and Melanie are engaged. Jenelle Evans and husband David Eason spent the first half of June making it clear on social media that their rekindled romance had taken a downward turn. Finally, they called it quits (again) following a June 12 altercation involving two male friends who joined Jenelle when she went to the home she shares with David to collect some personal belongings. Eventually, a verbal altercation between David and one of the two men turned physical, with the former MTV star striking his wife's pal with a gun. Jenelle and her two friends then went to the police, who arrested David for assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats. The following day, Jenelle told Celebernation that she's "shaking and saddened" by the latest incident with her husband. "It's time for me to move on from this relationship and find happiness for my kids and myself elsewhere," she reportedly said.
On June 14 — two months after they first sparked romance rumors by quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic — Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline took to Instagram to confirm that they are, in fact, a couple. "Cats outta the bag," Chase captioned a slideshow of photos from a romantic beach picnic with his "Outer Banks" co-star. Commented Jonathan Daviss, who also appears on the cult Netflix series, "Well it's about time." Two days later, Chase said during a joint Instagram Live with Madelyn that he consulted his mother about whether or not to reveal their relationship status: "I was like, 'I think I'm gonna post it,'" he recalled. "She was like, 'Really? You understand what happens when you do that?' And I'm like, 'Yeah. I do, Mom. Sure do.' Then I texted Maddie and I said, 'What do you think?' And she said, 'I don't care.'" The actress chimed in that it was a perfect example of "modern romance."
Us Weekly reported on June 17 that Hayden Panettiere and off-and-on love Brian Hickerson called it quits for good following his February arrest for domestic abuse. (It wasn't the first time they'd been involved in a domestic violence incident.) "She's in a good place right now. She's on the path to recovery," said one source. "She and Brian haven't had contact. He's moved back to his hometown in South Carolina, and friends are praying this is the end of her journey with him. … She's trying to move past the pain and focus on her future." According to a second source, the former child star is "calmer and more relaxed" and "has done a 180-degree turn since her terrible ordeal with Brian." Said the insider, "She's moving ahead with her life and getting back into working in Hollywood and being creative again. It's all very therapeutic for her."
Lindsay Lohan's momager, Dina Lohan, took to her private Facebook page on June 17 to announce that she and her back-on boyfriend, Jesse Nadler, are engaged again. "It's Official," she captioned a photo of herself showing off her new engagement bling, according to Page Six. Following the announcement, Jesse told the New York Post's gossip column that he sent the ring to Dina in the mail because they're unable to see each other in person due to the coronavirus pandemic. Although they've still yet to meet in person, Jesse said he plans to marry Dina "the first hour" they see each other. "We never fight," he said, adding that he's "close" to Dina's younger daughter, Ali Lohan, and that she and Lindsay "accept the relationship." Continued Jesse, "I wanted to make sure Dina's girls were on board with our relationship. I always respected that."
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers took to Instagram on June 13 to celebrate what would've been their wedding date. (They were forced to push their nuptials to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.) "6.13.20 … Happy 'What would have been Wedding Day' to us! ☺️As you guys know, we have spent the last 11 months planning the wedding of our dreams but given the circumstances of 2020, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone our special day. Even though I don't get to marry you todayyyyy [Jordan], I know it will be all more worth the wait. 2021, we 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘭𝘺𝘺𝘺𝘺𝘺 can't wait for you," the former star of "The Bachelorette" captioned a selfie with her husband-to-be. Jordan, meanwhile, shared a photo of himself and JoJo painting their laundry room: "Today was going to be our Wedding Day. We were supposed to be Husband & Wife, by now, and paint the town with all our favorite people. Instead we are painting a laundry room!" he wrote in the caption. "As you know by now we had to postpone our big day until next year, and although I would be just as happy saying I do right here covered in paint…our dream wedding will have to wait just a little longer I guess. I love you @joelle_fletcher and I can't wait to marry you in 2021!"
A rekindled romance? Model Jessica White took to Instagram on June 15 to gush over former flame Nick Cannon: "Always been the love of my life always will be. REAL love can never be broken. You are me and I am you for eternity. @nickcannon 🦢🦢 you are a king always remember that," she captioned a sensual shot of herself and the rapper-actor from a recent photo shoot. (A week earlier, she posted several more shots from the same steamy shoot, which she described as a "special project," though she later deleted the slideshow.) It's unclear if or when the duo officially reconciled. They were first linked in 2015 (around the time they posed for this pic with Amber Rose) following his split from Mariah Carey. Nick notoriously overshared about their sex life in his 2016 track "Jessica," leaving the Victoria's Secret model feeling "hurt," "betrayed" and disrespected. There were whispers in 2018, however, that they were giving it another try.
Us Weekly reported on June 16 that, according to a source, Scott Disick and Sofia Richie "need time apart" and "won't get back together immediately" following their recent breakup. "[They] need time to figure out what they want," said the source, adding that the father of three and former partner Kourtney Kardashian "have been able to spend more time together as a family lately," which has "been good for everyone." The former off-and-on couple of a decade recently sparked reconciliation rumors.
Us Weekly reported on June 17 that, according to a source, Lady Gaga, "loves to be wined and dined and taken care of" by boyfriends, and her current love, Michael Polansky, "certainly does [those things] for her." Said the source, "He loves to take care of her and spoil her, and they love to travel together. … Michael is very wealthy and likes to treat her to nice things and experiences."
Azealia Banks made headlines in late May when she alleged on her Instagram Story that she slept with Dave Chappelle, who's been married for nearly two decades. The comedian seemingly confirmed her allegations in "8:46," his moving Netflix special about the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police, which debuted on June 11. While making a raunchy joke about conservative talking head Candace Owens, the Emmy winner says that if he discovers intimate details about her anatomy, he'll "tell like Azealia Banks!" He then lowers his head, takes a long pause, laughs to himself and says, "I'm the worst."
TMZ reported on June 17 that "The Wire" alum Andre Royo's wife of more than two decades, Jane Choi, recently filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and listing their date of separation as Dec. 5, 2019. According to the webloid, she's not asking for spousal support.
Kathie Lee Gifford's daughter, "The Baxters" actress Cassidy Gifford, recently married Ben Wierda, her rep confirmed to multiple media outlets on June 16, adding that the couple exchanged vows "in an intimate setting in his backyard in Michigan" and plan on having "a big celebration when it's safe to do so in the future." Back in February, the bride indicated that they planned to tie the knot on June 13.
On the June 18 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Hoda Kotb confirmed that her plans to marry Joel Schiffman have been pushed amid the coronavirus pandemic: "It was a destination wedding, which would mean people getting on planes, so we were kind of holding out to see what could happen. But the destination we were going to is turning into one of the hot spots, so it looks like we may have to postpone," she said. "We're kind of bummed about that because the place we were going was like our favorite place on Earth — we love it there. So I know we should say, 'Who cares! It doesn't matter.' But we've waited a long time, so I sure hope we get to have it. I don't know when, but it'll definitely be postponed." She went on to say that the coronavirus quarantine helped her realize she "picked the best person on Earth." Gushed the "Today" show host, "I know it a thousand times over. … I think being cooped up [together], you know right away if you chose right. You know. I don't know if he thinks he chose right, but I know I did."
During a June 15 interview with Us Weekly, former "The Bachelor" star Madison Prewett said that "faith" is the "No. 1 thing" she's looking for in a man right now. "That's going to be something that's a make or break," she said, adding that having the "same beliefs" and sharing a similar "vision and goals" are "really important" to her. "[I want] someone who is passionate about something, someone who knows who he is and knows his purpose, someone who shares just similar, I guess, passions to make the world a better place and to help out and add value wherever he can," she continued, noting that she hopes to be able to "continue to grow" with her partner. "It's really important to me in all areas of my life to continue to grow … so I want to be with someone that is pushing me to be the best that I can be and challenging me to grow and to be the best version of myself," she said. The same day she spoke with Us Weekly, Madi appeared on "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!" to reflect on her breakup from Peter Weber and his new relationship with Kelley Flanagan: "Kelley and I were really close on the show and obviously I loved Peter and I'm happy he's found a person that he feels he can be the best version of himself with, and his family loves and supports. I truly am so happy for them," she said, adding that she wishes them "all the best." She also said that although she was "very upset" after her time on "The Bachelor" came to an end, she's "in such a good place now."
Dua Lipa took to Instagram on June 14 to celebrate her first anniversary with boyfriend Anwar Hadid. "Nothing sweeter than 365 days joint at the hip with you," she captioned a slideshow of photos of herself and her beau.
In other anniversary news… Dylan Sprouse took to Instagram on June 17 to celebrate his second anniversary with his girlfriend, model Barbara Palvin — and to joke about the fact that they look like they could be related. "Happy two year anniversary. Here's to us looking more alike with each passing year until we're a single beast with four arms and four legs that runs at a top speed of 50 mph and screams like a baboon at nearby travelers trespassing into our woods. I love you," he captioned a selfie from their anniversary trip to California's Yosemite National Park.
In still more anniversary news… On June 15, Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert took to Instagram to celebrate the first anniversary of the day he dumped her — which happened to be her birthday — while shooting the sixth season of "Bachelor in Paradise" in 2019. "This time last year, some jerk was breaking up with her on a beach in Mexico. Hopefully this birthday goes a little smoother for @caelynnmillerkeyes," Dean captioned a slideshow of photos of his girlfriend. "Happy one year anniversary of the day you dumped me," the birthday girl captioned her own slideshow of sweet shots. Dean memorably dumped Caelynn on "Paradise" and then returned to win her back. They ultimately left the show to pursue their relationship away from the cameras.
In a June 17 blog post, Meghan King shed some light on how she and her new boyfriend, Christian Schauf, first connected amid her divorce from Jim Edmonds: "I like being in a relationship, I never wanted to get divorced," she wrote. "I enjoyed being married and I certainly didn't deserve the unfortunate set of circumstances that helped lead to the demise of my marriage. But, alas, it ended. It was a very difficult 6 months. I had to adjust to my new single life while trying my best to maintain a stable environment for my children while throwing myself into work." She spent several months working on herself before she decided she was ready to date again: "When I knew I had worked through my pain to the point where it wouldn't define me or scar me but instead teach me, I knew I was ready to really date," she said. She then made a list of everything she was looking for in a man, prayed to "God to open [her] heart to the possibility of loving again" and joined "a couple dating apps" — through which she met Christian, with whom she shares "a close mutual friend" who could vouch for him. "[We] did the whole 'quarantine dating' thing with lots of FaceTiming but I never thought it would go anywhere since he lives in Utah and I live in St. Louis and work in Los Angeles — but what the hell, it was quarantine and I wasn't physically seeing anyone anyway," she wrote. She took multiple COVID-19 tests before she and Christian finally met in person for "the most unusual first date" — "a masked airport pickup" — which she admits sounds "very, very creepy." Due to social distancing guidelines, it would be weeks before they went out on a real date to a bar or restaurant. "This order felt a little backwards and old-fashioned to us but it also made us feel more deeply connected," wrote the mother of three. They'd yet to define their relationship when the news broke that there was a new man in her life. "Ever since I've been in the public eye I've been married so this newfound attention over my love life was a shock to me," wrote the former "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star, adding that they "found out that [they were] 'in love' via the tabloids." Continued Meghan, "That was a weird conversation: 'So Christian, um, the tabloids say I'm your girlfriend, sooooo, like, ummm, am I?' I MEAN talk about feeling like you're a prepubescent girl who's about 3 inches tall with her tail between her legs — NOT COOL, folks!" She went on to express gratitude that Christian is "someone who could handle the surge of media attention and also someone I truly cherish." Wrote Meghan, "So the answer to that cringeworthy 'will you be my boyfriend' question was 'YES' followed by a lot of laughs as we reflected on the awesome nature under which this question arose… we felt like we should be on 'The Bachelor' with full glam and cameras surrounding us, not makeup free driving down the open road on the way to Grand Teton National Park." She concluded by saying she's "up to [her] eyeballs in happiness."
Scheana Shay took to Instagram on June 15 to gush over her new boyfriend, Brock Davies, on his 30th birthday: "happy birthday baby!! 🥳 9 months later and already so many memories. i can't wait to see what life has in store for us. thank you for bringing my spark back and making me feel loved every single day! i love you to the moon honey!" she captioned a photo of them posing together.
During an interview with Us Weekly that hit the Internet on June 16, "Siesta Key" star Juliette Porter shed some light on why she had an affair with her ex-boyfriend, Alex Kompothecras, in the midst of his relationship with Alyssa Salerno: "He was begging. I did not go searching for that. Chloe [Trautman] will tell you he was knocking on our door in the middle of the night," she said. (Confirmed Chloe, "I opened the door and said, 'She's asleep. What do you want?' He pushed through the door and I tried to push him out.") Continued Juliette, "I think that if I had said no, then he could have argued in the future, 'I was never going to sleep with her. I never wanted to. I never tried.' I think there was part of me that wanted to know that he did not change. He didn't change for her. He was never going to change, and he was going to continue to act that way for a long time. I'm assuming maybe he's different now." (Alex and Alyssa welcomed a baby girl on June 11.) "I wanted to know I wasn't the problem," said Juliette of Alex, who notoriously cheated on her. "He is just built this way and he's always going to cheat and it wasn't good for me either. There was also a part of me that probably wanted to, but it was nice knowing that he could not deny that anything happened after." Bachelor Nation's Eric Bigger — who competed for Rachel Lindsay's heart on season 13 of "The Bachelorette" in 2017 and then appeared on "The Bachelor Winter Games" and season five of "Bachelor in Paradise" — opened up about the current state of his love life during an interview with "Extra" that hit the Internet on June 17: "I've been single for some time," he said. "I was in a relationship not too long ago — probably, like, six to eight months ago. It was powerful. It was passionate. I learned a lot. It didn't end on a bad note. I think she was the right person but [at the] wrong time. … Maybe [we'll give it another try in] a year, maybe months — who knows? It's miracle season."
