Jessica Simpson rejoices as her swollen pregnancy ankles finally go back to normal
Good news for moms out there suffering from pregnancy-related ankle swelling: At least one mama is finally getting some relief three weeks after welcoming her third child. In January, Jessica Simpson posted about the dangerous degree of swelling she was experiencing around her feet, asking for suggestions for remedies as she awaited the birth of her daughter. A few days later, she shared that she'd tried the ancient Chinese practice of cupping, which seemed to help, though it hadn't cured her completely when she posted. Then, on Tuesday, June 18, she shared a half jokey pic of her leg — and it was back to its usual, muscle-toned, swelling-free "self." "I spy … my ankles!!!!" she cracked in the caption. Jessica and her husband, Eric Johnson's newest addition, Birdie Mae, arrived March 19.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are counting down til their nest is empty
Over the, on the morning of their daughter, Lola's 18th birthday, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were … well … doing the same thing they did 18 years ago that led to Lola's existence, when Lola accidentally walked in on them. The couple shared the story on "Live with Kelly and Ryan," on Monday, June 17 and later told ET Lola is "fine" after the unsavory experience. "We saved the birthday cake for tonight," Kelly quipped. Added Mark, laughing: "She wasn't hungry yet." It won't be long before Kelly and Mark have the house to themselves, though. Their eldest son is 22 and with the passing of Lola's 18th birthday and high school graduation, the couple just have their 16-year-old son, Joaquin, to see through his high school days, then the next will officially be empty. "We are truly this close!" Kelly joked to ET. "I'm truly going to be running through the house naked," she said when asked how she planned to take advantage of the empty house. "I just want everybody to know that. I'm going to be sitting on every piece of furniture naked. Be warned before you come over. That's what I'll be doing in my spare time." Noted.

Taylor Swift: Katy Perry and I have 'grown past allowing ourselves to be pitted against each other'
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are officially in a new era of peace and love, having put their differences behind them, publicly, via their appearance together as a "happy meal" in Taylor's new video for "You Need to Calm Down." In an interview with Capital FM and BBC Radio 1 that aired Tuesday, June 18, Taylor explained how the surprise guest spot came to be and shared some of the backstory about how she and Katy finally made amends. "She and I have been on good terms for a while," Taylor said in a clip from the interview (via Billboard). "She sent me a really nice note and an olive branch to my tour when it started a while ago. From that point on, we've been on good terms. Then we saw each other at a party and walked up to each other and hugged it out and talked about things." The singer went on to describe how the change in their relationship changed her in a deep way, but cautioned that she and Katy waited to ensure things were "solid" between them before inviting the public in on their happy news. "Something felt so much lighter about my life when things became really good between us, and we've been fine for a while," Taylor mused. Ultimately, the singer feels that what changed was simply that they both matured and realized they'd "grown past allowing ourselves to be pitted against each other." As for the burger and fries costumes? Taylor was inspired by Katy's Jeremy Scott burger ensemble at the 2019 Met Gala and thought it would be cool to add herself as a fries component in the video, to which Katy replied: "I would love for us to be a symbol of redemption and forgiveness."
Why Meghan, Harry and Archie skipped Day 1 of the Royal Ascot
Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry joined the rest of the royal family earlier this month at the queen's Trooping the Colour festivities. Most of the family got together again on Tuesday, June 18, for the first day of the Royal Ascot, but Meghan, Harry and their new son, Archie, were not among them. "Meghan is on maternity leave, but Trooping is a family occasion," a royal source tells People of the Duchess' absence, adding, "You don't skip the Queen's birthday. She's the Queen!" Meghan is expected to remain on maternity leave for three to five months. Harry is reportedly not taking paternity leave. People notes that on Tuesday, Meghan was probably at home with her son.
Kathy Griffin pays homage to late friend Gloria Vanderbilt in spite of Anderson Cooper feud
Celebrity tributes poured in on social media on Monday, June 17, in the wake of Gloria Vanderbilt's death. And in spite of her two-year-old feud with the late socialite and designer's son, Anderson Cooper, Kathy Griffin posted a long tribute to Gloria, who died at 95 after a battle with stomach cancer. "I lost a friend today," Kathy wrote on Instagram (via Page Six). "The one and only Gloria Vanderbilt. I loved her so much. She let me call her 'Glo Vandi' and I would be so flattered when she would refer to me as her daughter." She went on to recall amazing dinner parties at Gloria's home, where the two would hang out and "talk for hours." Kathy also said she'd sometimes don a ridiculous outfit to get a rise out of her pal. Kathy and Anderson's friendship — and work relationship — ended in 2017 after the comic posted a now infamous image of what apeared to be Donald Trump's severed head on social media. "For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate," Anderson tweeted at the time. Anderson later said he wished Kathy well; Kathy, meanwhile, told Variety in March she was "devastated" by his initial reaction. "It still hurts," she said. "I mean, I really loved him. I don't have a punchline for that one."
Lizzo wants to work with this 'fine' young songwriter …
At the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Monday, June 17, Lizzo killed it with her performance of "Juice," inspiring a standing "o" from Jada Pinkett Smith, Melissa McCarthy and more of the stars at the event. Those are hardly her only fans, though."You know who I saw two nights ago?" Lizzo told ET on the red carpet before the show. "Patti LaBelle — she was like, 'I f—ing love your songs.' I was like, 'Excuse me?!'" Asked which other celebs have made it clear they love her sound, Lizzo added, "Shawn Mendes — that's a big one for me." It seems her affection for Shawn is both musical and personal. "I've been wanting to work with him because he's such a great songwriter," she said before adding, "… and he's fine." There's no romantic plan in the future for Lizzo and the singer, though. When ET's reporter asked if he'd asked Lizzo out, she assured her, "It's not like that!"
Tyra Banks announces barrier-breaking, norm-challenging docuseries on beauty
When Tyra Banks, 45, came out of retirement to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated last month, the headline read, "From Model to Mogul." That "mogul" title is thanks to her career-long determination to push past traditional beauty standards — as well as expectations about what models can or should do with their lives outside of the runway. Now, Tyra's taking all those ideas one step further with a new docuseries called "Beauty." Slated to debut next year, "Beauty" "celebrates being beautiful" with a particular mission in mind: to "break down barriers and challenge traditional notions" of beauty. In a statement to the Daily Mail, Tyra explained: "As I look into the future, I see radical changes in both how people 'attain beauty,' and how the world perceives beauty. Our docuseries aims to expand and redefine the definition of beauty as we know it, challenging why we accept certain beauty parameters and reject others, and examining the beliefs behind those judgments." The show will air on Quibi, a new platform that launches in April 2020.
Mel B is disappointed Victoria Beckham didn't come to the Spice Girls' shows
Mel B's not one to keep her feelings to herself, so it should perhaps come as no surprise that when she went on the air with ITV's "Good Morning Britain" this week after wrapping The Spice Girls reunion tour with the original group, minus Victoria Beckham, she got candid about what it meant not to see the erstwhile Scary Spice onstage, backstage or in the audience. "I expected her to come and just say hi at least," she said, according to JustJared. "Not even on stage, just as an audience member supporting." The host wondered if she knew why Victoria skipped it and Mel admitted she was unsure. "I don't know. I'm sure she has her reasons for not. I've already said, 'Yeah, I'm upset.' I still am a little bit. But it is what it is and us girls, we all support each other no matter what. But yeah, it is disappointing," she said. She also assured listeners this doesn't mean the band is at odds with their former colleague. "No [it's not a rift]," she said. "We're all adults, we all have to respectfully get on with whatever. But it is a bit disappointing, let's put it that way."
Rob Kardashian returns to the gym with a positive tweet
"Day 1 all good 💪💪🤰🏻🤰🏻🖖🖖." So said an enthusiastic Rob Kardashian on Twitter on Monday, June 17, as he returned to the gym to kick off a new fitness routine. Fans quickly rallied to support the former "KUWTK" star, who told People in 2016 that when he "gained a bunch of weight" he was "super uncomfortable" in his own skin and opted out of the show. "Yessss go rob go!!!" wrote one fan. "Hope to see updated pictures of ur weightloss journey," chimed in another. Last summer, a source told People Rob was still struggling to be "healthy" and was "constantly up and down," though he lost "some weight" after breaking up with Blac Chyna, the mother of his child, Dream, in 2017. "Things were looking good for him," said the source. "But then drama comes into his life or he goes through tough times and he gives up."
Lisa Vanderpump admits she left 'RHOBH' because her brother's death made it too 'brutal' to stay
Lisa Vanderpump has some regrets about her decision to appear on the last season of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and now sees her brother's death was the proverbial last straw that inspired her to leave the show. "It was such a brutal season for me, and it was at a time where I was floundering," she told RuPaul on his show on Monday, June 17, according to the Daily Mail. "Everybody always says, 'Oh, you look like you've got your life together,' but I started that show this season like, two or three months after my brother passed. I just wasn't in the right space." Lisa's brother was just 59 when he died of what authorities believe was an intentional overdose on April at his home. The reality star previously told Andy Cohen she "just wasn't as prepared" for the season as she thought she would be. " I found that I couldn't deal with something that I could normally deal with. So then it just went on and it was accumulative and in the end I just said, 'I can't do this anymore. I just can't.'" After Andy acknowledged he, too, wished she'd taken a year off, she explained: "I think this year, with where my mental state was — and I've been very honest about that, I struggled a lot, you know, after my brother's suicide …The first few months it was really difficult, and I was kind of searching for happiness …" Lisa appeared on "RHOBH" for nine seasons.
