Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay defends long-distance marriage

After many questions, Rachel Lindsay has discussed her nontraditional marriage with husband Bryan Abasolo on the newest episode of his "Dr. Abs Healthcast" podcast. Rachel has been living in Los Angeles and working on "Extra" while Bryan focuses on his chiropractor business in Miami. "I didn't move to L.A. because I just love the city," the former "Bachelorette" explained. "We're doing this to eventually bring ourselves together." She explained the couple have a timeline for themselves and are confident in their relationship. "We know where we're going, we know where we're headed, and we know what we're trying to build as Abasolos." And Bryan is proud of what Rachel has built with her career. "I want you to go do your thing in L.A., I want you to be as successful as possible," the 40-year-old said. "You're killing it right now, and I love it." Success for the couple all comes back to family. "I can see from the outside looking in how it's like 'Wow, when Rachel was on the show she talked about not wanting to put her career over her husband.' But the thing is, I'm not putting my career over my husband. I'm putting my family first," the 35-year-old explained. "Part of that is putting us in a position to succeed and put our family in the best position."

A decade after she broke up with Kanye West, Amber Rose refuses to concern herself with him — even though she says he's continuously "bullied" her since they called it quits. Their relationship came during Amber's appearance on the "No Jumper" podcast this week, where she was asked if she "soaked up" any of his infamous confidence while they were dating from 2008 until 2010. "No," she said, flatly. "I didn't soak anything up from him. Me and him and are two very different people." For example? While Amber says she's turned down book deal offers for tell-alls about her ex, Kanye's made a point of publicly trashing her, as he did in July during a campaign rally where he likened her to Mary Magdalene, the Biblical "prostitute." Then there was the rapper's 2015 "Breakfast Club" interview, in which he said he needed "30 showers" after they split. "That's what narcissists do," Amber said of his comments this week. "You spend two years with someone. You take them around the world. You buy them all the jewelry. You shout-out how much you love them … and then the person decides this isn't what they want their life to be. I opted out… I don't know if he says things to make his wife more comfortable, but to … say you needed '30 showers'? It's like, 'Bro." She responded to his campaign dis as well. "He just called me a 'prostitute,'" she recalled. "Ten years later, just leave me alone. I don't bother you." Amber added that she's never accepted the book offers because she's not a "vindictive" person. "That wouldn't make me happy," she said. "Even if somebody is picking on me, which he has for 10 years. He has picked on me. He has bullied me for 10 years."

Miranda Lambert mourns the death of her rescue dog, Waylon 

Animal lover Miranda Lambert is mourning the loss of her rescue dog, Waylon. The country singer posted a tribute to the dog, who she found on the road in Oklahoma in January 2008 with his sister, on Instagram on Oct. 22 "They were abandoned, starving and freezing nearly to death. I was listening to Jessi Colter and Waylon Jennings at the time me and mom saw them and pulled over to pick them up. I took them straight to the vet and she told me that the little boy was not doing too well (malnourished and dehydrated ) because whatever they had found to eat while they were homeless, he always let her eat first," she wrote of the pup, who she called her best friend. "He did that nearly his whole life." She continued on, explaining that the vet didn't think the dog would survive, but he did and lived to nearly 13 years old. "He was a rock in our family and always held down the fort. He lived his life with no fences. The way we all want to live. He was a farm dog through and through and retired to Nashville life riding on the bus with mama to go home to Texas for Christmas every year. I'm so thankful for the time we had with him and I'm thankful for the rest of the time we have with his sister Jessi," she continued. She went on to express gratitude that her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, knew Waylon in the last years of his life. "We are heartbroken but happy that he is running across the rainbow bridge right now and will be waiting for us when we get there. Dogs change your life. The bond is something that can't be described unless you have lived it," she wrote before thanking those who watched him while she was away and the doctors who took care of him throughout his life.

After an admittedly disastrous Round 1, the second and final presidential debate between Republican nominee, President Donald Trump, and the Democratic nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden, on Thursday was civil and relatively well-received by liberal and conservative viewers, alike, including celebs like Kirstie Alley, who hopped on social media to praise the candidate she supports, as well as the moderator, NBC News anchor and White House correspondent Kristen Welker. "GREAT DEBATE!!" Kirstie wrote. "Good moderator.. GREAT JOB TRUMP!!! Presidential PRESIDENT!!" "Mrs. America" star Uzo Aduba, meanwhile took issue with the president's division of Dem vs. GOP-leaning parts of the country, posting: "'I don't look at this in terms that he does: blue states and red states. It's The United States.' @JoeBiden is running to unite this country that has been ripped at the seams." James Woods chimed in from the other end of the pro-Biden spectrum, slamming the former Veep. "Joe Biden looks like the most tired, defeated, hack politician ever to draw breath in the history of this nation," James posted. "He makes the word 'hello' sound like a talking point. #ByeByeOldJoe … Trump absolutely rolled over Joe Biden like a steamroller." For avowed liberal voter Sarah Silverman, however, the only winner was the evening's clock, assuming it wanted to keep on ticking. Thursday night's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" came on the heels of the final presidential debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden — which might explain why Jimmy included a personal video segment about health care. The video combined footage and photos Jimmy and his wife Molly McNearny shot during hospital visits and surgeries for their youngest son, Billy. Now 3, Billy was born with a congenital heart condition called tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. In order to survive, Billy underwent his first surgery just three days into his young life, which he began in the NICU. Two more surgeries followed, as did more than 60 doctor's appointments, according to the video, which Molly put together. As Jimmy has said many times since Billy's birth, his family is lucky to have the resources not only to afford the surgeries but also to keep Billy insured, given his pre-existing condition. "I want to bring us back to focus on something we can't afford to forget, and that is health care," Jimmy said on his show, according to People. He went on to address the president's opposition to the Affordable Care Act, which makes it illegal for insurance companies to refuse coverage to Americans with pre-existing conditions. "The vast majority of this country believes that health insurance should cover Americans with pre-existing conditions," Jimmy said. His wife's text overlay in the video she compiled went a little further. "Mom's don't forget. Please vote," she urged viewers. "We are raising [Billy] to fight for less fortunate kids," she added. "Americans take care of one another. Vote with your heart." During the debate, health care was one of many matters of contention, particularly because of the president's claim that Biden's health care plan would "terminate all of" the 180 million estimated people who currently have what Trump described as "great, private health care." (That claim is false, according to NBC News, which notes Trump was conflating Biden's plan with the "Medicare For All" platform embraced by many Democrats. Per NBC, Biden's plan would instead, "create a public option for those who want to get government health insurance while allowing those with private insurance to stay on their plans.") In his response, Biden pointed out, "not one single person with private insurance would lose their insurance under my plan, nor did they under Obamacare."

Kate Beckinsale and Goody Grace have reportedly called it quits

Is that it for Kate Beckinsale and Goody Grace? A new report from British tab The Sun claims that after nine months together, Kate, 47, has called it quits with the 23-year-old Canadian singer. The two were first spotted out on the town together at night in January; by April, they weren't hiding the fact that things had turned romantic. Goody reportedly moved in with Kate in the spring while Los Angeles was under lockdown and the two were often seen hiking in the hills together as the pandemic continued. As of June, they were even using the "L" word on Instagram. That's all apparently changed, though. According to the outlet, Kate's since scrubbed Goody from her Insta feed. As of Friday, he was still following her — but The Sun claims he was doing so from Canada, having reportedly moved back home.

Lily James recently canceled multiple planned promotional appearances for her new Netflix movie, "Rebecca," seemingly because of the PDA-filled trip to Rome she just took with her (married) co-star from "The Pursuit of Love." Page Six, however, suggested on Friday that it might not be the worst thing to avoid talking about her new Gothic romance thriller right now. "Rebecca," a remake of a classic Alfred Hitchcock tale co-starring Armie Hammer, hasn't gotten the most favorable reviews so far. The Hollywood Reporter dubbed it "blandly glossy melodrama," while Time griped the movie was "sometimes dull, sometimes dumb." Either way, the drama related to Lily and Dominic's apparent romantic getaway — and Dominic's subsequent public assertion that he and his wife are very much still together — may be ebbing. After nixing scheduled spots on "Today" and "The Graham Norton Show," Lily joined Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" this week for a chat … about "Rebecca," rather than Dominic.

It's been seven years since Jennifer Lawrence infamously tripped on her way up the Oscars stage, to accept the Best Actress trophy. The now 30-year-old actress' nerve-wracking moment made her seem relatable, but some questioned if it was really an innocent fall, or something she planned. During a chat with Heather McMahan on her "Absolutely Not," podcast, Jennifer brought up Anderson Cooper, who was not sold on the validity of the fall. "I saw him on CNN three days later saying, 'Well she obviously faked the fall,' and it was so devastating because it was this horrific humiliation to me," she explained. "I'll tell you what, I saw him at a Christmas party and I let him know. My friend told me a vein was bulging out of my eyes. He apologized. I think we're good friends now. On my end, we're all good. What I led with was, 'Have you ever tried to walk up stairs in a ball gown? So then how do you know.' He apologized immediately and said he didn't know and gave this wonderful apology. I was all fired up…he probably told everyone I was a psycho." Jennifer's Academy Award was for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook," and on the podcast, she admitted that leading up to the big day, she was very nervous — and superstitious about her chances. "I didn't want to acknowledge the possibility that I would win. I didn't want to write down a speech," she recalled. Filming on "Real Housewives of New York City" shut down due to COVID-19

Season 13 of "Real Housewives of New York City" was abruptly put on hold two weeks ago, when one of the women tested positive for COVID-19, the DailyMail.com exclusively reports. According to a source, the women are regularly tested and monitored for coronavirus and were scheduled to film together when one woman, who was not identified by the outlet, was exposed to the virus. After the housewife tested positive, the show shut down for two weeks. However, now that all of the women are healthy and COVID-19 negative production is set to pick back up with filming at Ramona Singer's Southampton home this weekend. The show has had some shakeups this season, with newbies Berhan Shaw and Eboni K. However, her daughter's teacher has no idea who her mom is. "We'll see how that goes," the 39-year-old said with a smile.
