Coachella season is upon us, which means it's time for some festival fashion! Every year, the stars descend on Indio, California, where they show off either amazing or amazingly terrible style. In honor of the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicking off on April 12, 2019, Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the best and worst celebrity style from the famous fest. First up? Katy Perry! Though we appreciate the musical nod, Katy's fitted blue dress with a guitar design was one of the worst looks of Coachella 2016. Kate Bosworth rocked a quintessentially Coachella look at the festival back in 2011, opting for a faded American flag tank top and white cutoffs. Aviator shades and brown lace-up boots finished off the cool look.

Vanessa Hudgens, is that you? The star, who frequently attends the annual music festival, really embraced the boho vibe during Coachella 2014 . Vanessa had a bizarre accessory — a black scarf — covering her face and paired that with an oversized, flowy, multicolored bohemian dress and clunky black boots. Yikes!

Really embracing the music festival style during Coachella 2016? Taylor Swift, who looked nearly unrecognizable in such a casual ensemble! The superstar, who was on hand that year to see then-boyfriend Calvin Harris perform, rocked a black skirt and oversized gray T-shirt with sparkly sneaker slides for a very un-Taylor look that we loved!

What is that?! Kendall Jenner sported this bizarre oversized sweatshirt with thick straps atop a pair of denim cutoffs in 2017, leaving fashion onlookers confused as to what exactly was happening. The accessories — clunky shoes, a baseball hat and a satchel purse — all added insult to injury with their random, mismatched nature.

We loved Nicole Richie's fun white frock at Coachella 2018. The star donned this interesting dress with its one off-the-shoulder detail and one thin strap. She completed the look with a basket purse and tan sandals perfect for the hot weather.

Fergie really missed the mark at Coachella 2015! The star wore this bumblebee-inspired bright yellow-and-black satin ensemble, which featured tiny shorts, a cropped short-sleeved jacket and a black crop top.

Jared Leto showed the guys how it's done at Coachella 2016! The actor-slash-rocker opted for a bright red Hawaiian shirt that he paired with black skinny jeans and sneakers.

Amber Rose left a party during Coachella 2018 in this bizarre brightly colored jumpsuit. She finished the look with chunky multicolored sneakers and a pair of studded sunglasses (at night!).

Oh, Paris Hilton! The former reality star donned a bizarre kitten-eared headband at Coachella 2015 to accessorize her multicolored bright and billowy maxidress while strolling through the festival grounds.

On-point! Alessandra Ambrosio is a fashion queen of Coachella, and her 2017 ensemble proved it! The star wore a belted Rolling Stones minidress with combat boots and made sure to accessorize with layers of jewelry.

Coachella-ready! Lindsay Lohan kept things cool at the music festival back in 2012, rocking a white blouse over a printed white dress and accessorizing — at night, no less — with bright yellow sunglasses.

Zoe Kravitz delivered flawless festival style at Coachella 2015, selecting this cool plaid romper and black ankle boots while taking in the music in Indio, California.

This one gets a big no-chella! Emma Roberts attended the 2012 festival in unbuttoned denim cutoffs and this barely there strapless top, which featured dangly beaded fringe.

Poppy Delevingne nailed festival style at Coachella 2017 when she donned classic cutoffs, a Levi's cropped tank top and space buns. White sneakers and funky shades finished off the look flawlessly.

What's going on with that skirt, Victoria Justice? The star hit Coachella 2018 rocking this unfortunate getup comprised of a shiny bralette-like crop top and strange skirt that started out with denim before giving way to a completely sheer black skirt. The bulky boots also didn't help matters.

Model-actress Emily Ratajkowski perfected festival fashion in this sweet strapless blue-and-white dress during Coachella 2016.

Gigi Hadid looked downright regal while strolling barefoot through Coachella 2015. The supermodel rocked this belted breezy white dress, complete with a high slit, underneath a printed kimono for a bohemian-chic vibe. But our favorite element of Gigi's look? Her bronze headwrap.

Halsey is no stranger to a worst dressed list, so her Coachella 2016 getup wasn't a huge surprise. The singer opted for a severely shredded white crop top underneath a pink moto jacket and a pair of barely there shimmery pink shorts and finished the look off with a pair of shiny bubblegum-pink boots.

No shirt, no problem! Kellan Lutz stood out among the Coachella 2016 crowd, showing off his six pack and (fake) tats as he walked around the festival grounds topless. And though we're not exactly complaining, maybe next time just wear shorts instead of jeans? Or ditch the cowboy hat? Your choice, Kellan!

Since Coachella takes place in the spring, Rachel Zoe's dreamy white dress was the perfect pick for a party during Coachella 2018. We loved the romantic sleeves, ruffles and subtle tiered levels of this breezy frock that made it perfect for the desert weather.

Oh, Rita Ora! She never lets us down in the horrible fashion department! This metallic silver slinky dress she wore in 2017 was bad enough on its own, but her accessories (that hat! those boots! those sunglasses at night!) only made it worse.

Kiernan Shipka nailed Coachella style in 2016 in this sweet two-piece denim ensemble with butterfly embroidery, which made for an outfit that both looked cool and definitely kept her cool in the desert heat!

Sheer is always in when it comes to festival style, but Selena Gomez's look in 2014 was a bit confusing. The star threw on a long floral-patterned sheer dress over what looks like a typical Coachella ensemble — a black crop top and white denim cutoffs — making the addition seem excessive.

We loved Solange Knowles' Coachella 2013 getup. The singer sported this bright yellow minidress at the festival and finished off the look with fun printed wedges.

Speak up! That's what Kelly Osbourne commanded via this massive and bizarre scarf-life wrap that she wore over a strapless black dress back in 2008. And though we applaud her music festival activism, we're baffled by the look in general.

Diane Kruger can always be counted on to deliver fabulous fashion, so it's no surprise her 2014 Coachella look — a belted black minidress with a hat and simple white sandals — was on-point.

Model Izabel Goulart epitomized cool Coachella style in 2018 with a cropped T-shirt underneath an oversized denim vest paired with super-short denim shorts. She completed her ensemble with a pair of trendy white sneakers.

Long layers are not a popular pick during Coachella, especially considering the festival's location. Temperatures can shoot up to the triple digits, so Mischa Barton's 2012 look is quite a miss. The actress wore layers and layers of black, including leather pants, which might be the last thing we'd ever want to be wearing in the desert.

Sheer lace is always a major Coachella trend, and Kendall Jenner showed off the right way to rock the fabric in 2016. The supermodel wore a cream lace maxidress and accessorized with tan strappy sandals and layers of necklaces that year. Our favorite element of her look? The fun double-bun hairstyle that was sure to keep the star cool under the hot sun.

Effortlessly cool! Kaia Gerber might only be a teen, but she already managed to perfect festival style at Coachella 2016 where she rocked short shorts and a blouse over a lace bralette with ankle boots. The young star's sunglasses, chokers and layered necklaces elevated the all-black ensemble to supermodel-style status.

Coachella clashing! In 2017, model Romee Strijd went with so many different fabrics, it made us dizzy! The Victoria's Secret Angel opted for polka dots on the top, a camouflage skirt on the bottom and a cherry-red bomber jacket tied around the middle for an extra-loud and extra-confusing look.

Rita Ora looked rough at Coachella 2013 in a sheer white T-shirt over a hot pink bralette and then added insult to injury with a strange sheer jacket, a backward cap and a long, chunky necklace. And don't get us started on that strange printed skirt…

Barefoot and a bikini top? Only at Coachella! While we don't typically love the look of a bathing suit on the festival grounds, "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson kept things boho-chic by tossing a fringed vest over her tiny bikini top and added a pair of belted denim cutoffs for a quintessentially Coachella look in 2016.

Sarah Hyland selected this suede two-piece ensemble, which she paired with a tiny black tank top underneath, at Coachella 2015. We loved the star's additional accessories, which included a wide-brimmed black hat, circular sunglasses and all sorts of assorted bangles, chokers and necklaces.

Paris Hilton was a vision in white at Coachella 2018. The seasoned Coachella vet donned this ethereal white frock with a sheer skirt and topped her ensemble with a ubiquitous flower crown. Also along for the festival ride? One of her tiny chihuahuas.

Ashley Graham attended a Winter Bumbleland party during Coachella 2017 in this bizarre minidress that looked more fit for a movie premiere than a desert music festival. The odd leather belt made for an ever weirder ensemble.

Hayley Williams might have taken home the trophy for worst Coachella style in 2013. The Paramore singer wore a sheer dress reminiscent of a plastic bag — the kind with a smiley face and a "Have a nice day!" message — over a bright yellow cropped tank and a pair of boyshorts. Need more proof this was the most unfortunate look of the year? Look no further than the polka-dot maroon socks peeking out of her black boots.

Sofia Richie topped off an otherwise super-simple festival outfit — a cropped white tank top and black cutoffs — with a printed duster coat and fashionable black slides in 2016. The additions took the look to another level and exemplified why Sofia is a stylish star to watch.

Coachella is not Halloween, Bella Thorne! During Coachella 2016, the actress rocked this funky, eclectic ensemble that featured plenty of cutouts and fringe. Her outfit isn't awful, but we're mostly perplexed as to why she found it necessary to don a bright purple wig in the desert.

Alessandra Ambrosio rarely misses Coachella and even brought along her mini-me, daughter Anja, back in 2013! That year, the supermodel sported a white lace top with corresponding lace-striped denim cutoffs as she held hands with her adorable daughter and flashed the peace sign.

Amber Rose attended a party during Coachella 2018 in this puzzling combo — a long-sleeved white shirt underneath a black halter crop paired with some very baggy bright orange pants. Completing this head-scratching look? A pair of chunky black platforms.

Too much! Frances Bean Cobain mixed and matched her way through Coachella 2016, throwing a shiny silver and purple floral coat over a ripped-up gray T-shirt and what looked like flannel pajama pants underneath. The kicker? She topped it all off with gold boots.

Model Suki Waterhouse sported the perfect quirky Coachella outfit in 2016: Tommy Hilfiger overalls over a sheer white top finished off with lacy socks and sneakers. Pink cat-eye sunglasses and a choker completed the cool Coachella look.

Just because Coachella is in the desert doesn't mean it's okay to show up to the festival's parties in a bathing suit. AnnaLynne McCord did just that in 2017, rocking a teeny floral bikini under a mismatched kimono, finishing the look with strappy sandals. Yikes.

A two-piece ensemble? Perfectly on-trend for 2017 Coachella. And a two-piece in black-and-white gingham? Perfection! Vanessa Hudgens, always a Coachella fixture, wore this cute combo with sandals and an oversized hat to one of the festival's many parties.

Courtney Love delivered a nightmare of a look in 2013, selecting this sheer lacy dress with floral embroidery that she opted to wear over… skimpy lingerie. And the strappy bright red sandals certainly weren't helping matters.

Sporty supermodel! Victoria's Secret Angel Josephine Skriver nailed the casual festival-goer vibe in 2016 with this Los Angeles Lakers jersey tucked into cutoffs. The pigtails, shades and white sneakers polished off this cute, comfy look.

Though she pulled it off, we hated Chanel Iman's 2012 Coachella look. The model rocked bikini bottoms underneath a bulky studded belt paired with a cropped tank top and black boots for a barely there festival ensemble.

Amber Rose nailed casual festival-chic style with this off-the-shoulder white top tucked into a pair of tropical-printed pants during Coachella 2015.

This Coachella 2015 look is still a bit of a mystery to us… and not in a good way. Julianne Hough selected this romper, which appeared to be made of white lace with mysterious gold splatters across the front. But at least her festival-ready pastel pink hair looked good!

Camilla Belle tucked a graphic T-shirt into belted denim cutoffs and topped it off with a Coachella favorite — the flowy kimono. The actress finished the look with funky two-toned sunglasses and ankle boots for a super-simple yet cool vibe for Coachella 2016.

Tallulah Willis made a festival faux pas — stepping out in nothing but a bathing suit — during Coachella 2013 . Aside from not wearing any real clothes, the star added a pair of combat boots, some sunglasses and a backpack to complete her skin-baring look.

Victoria's Secret Angel Sara Sampaio sported the perfect breezy printed romper, which she belted at the waist, while at an event during Coachella 2016. We loved the simplicity of the one-piece look and the way she paired it with functional ankle boots.

Ashley Greene showed up in a super-boring dress more appropriate for Easter Sunday than a fun music festival during Coachella 2016. The actress's look was a snore, and one of the weakest we saw that year at the big event.
