Spring is upon us! And while most stars are still pulling out their florals, pastels and stark whites to celebrate the season, others continue to puzzle us with their sartorial selections. From the stunning styles of the Met Gala to the quirky looks at the Billboard Music Awards to the must-see fashion from the Cannes Film Festival, Wonderwall.com has rounded up the best and the worst of May style and we've got it all for you right here… Starting with Michelle Rodriguez's "Solo: A Star Wars Story" Cannes premiere ensemble — a look we'd like to forget! She wore this Jean-Louis Sabaji confection on the red carpet on May 15, and the sheer dress left little to the imagination! What it didn't already show off, she nearly flashed on the red carpet when the gown's top had a wardrobe malfunction! We weren't fans of the micro-minidress under all that sheer netting either. Spectacular in silver! Not only did Shailene Woodley debut her beau on the red carpet at the "Adrift" premiere on May 23, but she also sizzled in this stunning metallic spectacle! The actress rocked a gorgeous Rochas gown featuring thin straps, a fitted bodice and a full, ball gown-style skirt all in a sparkly, shimmering silver material. This look almost made us forget her Met Gala fiasco… almost!

FKA Twigs rocked this confusing ensemble at the Webby Awards in New York City on May 14, and we've got to dissect it to attempt to understand it. The tan dress featured red and black embellishments on the skirt (are they crosses? a tic tac toe board?), which was loud and unfortunate enough on its own. But accessorizing with long, red fingerless gloves and those bizarre dark heels with straps extending past her knees is what really lost us.
Lupita Nyong'o looked downright regal in this Prada confection at the Secret Chopard party during the Cannes Film Festival on May 11. The pale pink ball gown, which was fit for a princess, featured spaghetti straps and lovely pleated detailing down the full skirt. Her accessories took this phenomenal look up one more notch…
Lupita Nyong'o made the perfect accessory selection to complement her pink Prada gown — bold gold jewelry! She donned jeweled hoops and a ring that gave her ensemble some extra sparkle, cementing this look at one of our favorites from the festival.
Could this outfit be any more boring? Laura Prepon attended an "Orange Is the New Black" FYC event in New York City on May 18 in black pants, a white blouse and a tan sweater pulled over top — finishing the look off with lackluster nude pumps.
Super spring-y! Lea Michele rocked the perfect dress for a springtime event — this strapless confection complete with a giant flower print. She paired the frock, which she wore to the Kim Crawford Wines "Sip into Summer" Rose party in Los Angeles, with strappy hot-pink heels for a darling moment.
Jennifer Lopez might have a residency in Vegas, but she channeled another Las Vegas icon at the Sin City release party for her new single on May 20 — Elvis! Though we loved her nod to The King, we didn't love Jennifer's sheer white pant situation or those bizarre cut-outs in her long-sleeved bodysuit. Don't worry, she wore a stunning all-white look earlier in the month, which you'll see soon!
Katie Holmes picked a perfectly spring-worthy floral frock by Zac Posen to wear to the American Ballet Theater Spring Gala in New York City on May 21! We loved the tea-length gown's delicate floral print and the way she paired it with that cute curly hairstyle and pointy-toe nude pumps.
Molly Ringwald underwhelmed on the red carpet at the "Deadpool 2" premiere in New York City on May 14. The actress's bright green frock with wide sleeves and an asymmetrical hemline looked more fitting for a day at the mall than a movie premiere. Her fun multicolored shoes almost saved the day, but they strangely didn't match the frock's shade so this one is just a miss from us.
Stunning at 64! Christie Brinkley attended a "Book Club" screening in New York City on May 15 rocking this gorgeous jewel toned off-the-shoulder number. The dress featured a thigh-high slit and tiny spaghetti straps and it paired perfectly with her nude pointy-toe pumps.
Too! Much! Leopard! Demi Lovato's vintage Dior dress at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 20 may have been part of fashion history — but it probably should have stayed in the past. We weren't fans of the excessive leopard print, the matching belt and the gown's billowy long sleeves. We did, however, like her beauty look — which is up next!
Demi Lovato accessorized her Dior dress with oversized hoops by Melinda Maria Jewelry, which fit the aesthetic. We also loved her slicked-back hairstyle and neutral makeup shades, because anything else would have clashed terribly with the loud dress.
Jenny Slate doesn't typically serve up our favorite fashion, but the star rocked it at the "Hotel Artemis" premiere on May 19 in this gorgeous white frock. We loved the dainty off-the-shoulder neckline and ruffles, and that ideal train length. Let's see it from the back next!

Cruella de Ville, is that you? Nope, it's just Marcia Clark attending the Disney ABC International Upfronts in Los Angeles on May 20. Did the attorney snag a role playing the "101 Dalmatians" villain? Nope, so we're still wondering why she wore this bizarre furry black-and-brown getup.
Fresh and floral! We loved Leighton Meester's flower-dotted look at the Disney ABC Upfront Presentation in New York City on May 15. The pale pink ankle-length gown featured a plunging neckline and thick straps and went wonderfully with her tan heels. Blair Waldorf would be so proud!
We're used to drooling over Erika Jayne's fashion on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," so when it came time for the reality star to rock a red carpet look, we were excited to see what she'd pick! Unfortunately, she really let us down at the Billboard Music Awards in this snooze of a black minidress. The ill-fitting frock featured a massive train and though those electric blue pumps were at least an interesting addition, we expected a whole lot more from Erika!
Dua Lipa is quickly becoming one of our new style crushes — and she didn't disappoint at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 20! The star's Alexandre Vauthier dress had a fun purple hue, a plunging neckline and a youthful bow detail that literally tied everything together.

One of the most amazing fashion moments of the month came on May 15 when Thandie Newton hit the 71st Cannes Film Festival red carpet premiere of her film "Solo: A Star Wars Story" wearing this Vivienne Westwood Couture dress. The custom-made frock paid tribute to many of the black actors who'd landed roles in the franchise before her. Let's check this one out from another angle….
Thandie Newton's Cannes Film Festival look is especially important because she is the first woman of color to land a leading role in a "Star Wars" franchise movie. Some of the characters featured on her dress are John Boyega's Finn, Samuel Jackson's Mace Windu and Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera. Talk about a fashion moment!
Raven-Symone attended the "A Tale of Two Sisters" event in Los Angeles on May 7 in this… puffy black sweatshirt?! The bizarre selection was paired with even baggier pants and some hideous black sneakers, making this an easy miss to call.
Jennifer Lopez wore this spring-ready crisp white frock to the NBCUniversal Summer Press Day on May 2. The white, semi-sheer August Getty number featured a high neck and long sleeves and paired perfectly with her pumps by Gianvito Rossi.
One of the worst looks of the month comes courtesy of Shailene Woodley's Met Gala ensemble. The Ralph Lauren getup attempted to channel Joan of Arc but fell flat as the metallic leather minidress reminiscent of armor featured strange ruffled sleeves and was paired with over-the-knee boots. But it was her odd hairstyle that really lost us — check that out next!

Paper Flowers jewelry collection launch on May 3. The supermodel accessorized with a teeny-tiny matching white bag and edgy clear heels, which we'll see up close next!
When it came time to pick shoes, Kendall Jenner tapped brother-in-law Kanye West's collection and rocked these funky Yeezy Season 6 Lucite heels. We loved the way the barely there heels brought a little edge to an otherwise sweet and delicate ensemble.
We adored Alison Brie's Dsquared2 T-shirt dress, which paired perfectly with those silver pointy-toe pumps — but unfortunately her cute ensemble wasn't what captured our attention at the "Rebels and Rule Breakers" FYC event on May 12. Check out her wild makeup next!
Alison Brie opted for an updo on the red carpet, but it was her insane neon green eyeshadow that eclipsed her whole look. The eye makeup — which looked like it could have been bright green highlighter — overshadowed her otherwise pretty makeup featuring rosy cheeks and a pink lip.
Could Sarah Paulson's Brock Collection dress be any more romantic? The star stepped out in this gorgeous design at the Tiffany & Co. Paper Flowers jewelry collection launch on May 3. We're obsessed with this long-sleeved white confection comprised of delicate white lace tied together with a thin black bow. The black clutch and pumps pulled it all together perfectly, making this one of our favorite looks of the month! We've got to get a better view of her beauty look next!
Sarah Paulson's white lace confection by Brock Collection was accented perfectly by her smoky eye and bright red lip. And the delicate diamond accessories and side-swept wavy hairstyle only elevated this look from one of our favorite fashionistas!
Cara Delevingne continued the black-and-white trend at the opening of the Longchamp Fifth Avenue store in New York City on May 3. The model rocked a design by the brand — this adorable, long-sleeved white minidress that featured black hardware — and finished the darling look off with matching white pumps.
Selena Gomez made a perfect transition to spring in this floral and black lace Prada confection. We loved the short-sleeved dress's delicate design, including that tie at the top, but we weren't fans of those mules she wore on her feet!
More flower power! Kristen Bell wore this sweet one-shouldered dress by A.L.C. at a photocall for "The Good Place" in Los Angeles on May 4, continuing the floral trend. Her yellow dress was dotted with crimson flowers and featured a fun high-low hemline. The one part of the ensemble that wasn't a hit? Those black clunky heels, which detracted from an otherwise spring-y vibe.
Storm Reid couldn't have dreamed up a better dress for the launch of Marc Jacobs' Daisy Love fragrance on May 9! The darling star rocked this long-sleeved black dress decorated with massive daisies and paired the look with chunky black heels for a perfectly on-point ensemble.
The Cannes Film Festival can typically be counted on for some fabulous style moments, but Marion Cotillard's "Angel Face" photocall look was certainly not one of them! On May 12, the actress sported this awful getup — a creation by Adam Selman made up of a black-and-white gingham-print sleeveless top, short shorts and a half skirt. She added insult to injury with those random pops of color — a lime-green belt and a pair of strappy cherry-red heels.
Only Cate Blanchett could make a black turtleneck work on a red carpet! At the Cannes Film Festival on May 4, the star wore a look straight from the Givenchy runway — a simple black turtleneck paired with a tiered rainbow skirt comprised of cascading shades of red, purple and blue. Simply stunning!
