Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the best and worst celeb style moments of October 2017, starting with the show-stopping Ralph Lauren menswear ensemble Blake Lively donned during an outing in New York City on Oct. 16. The blonde beauty practically stopped traffic when she stepped out in a gray plaid suit and matching coat, which she wore with a white button-down and tie, studded burgundy boots and a Michael Kors alligator handbag. Rihanna's red carpet style has been impeccable so far this fall, so we were extra disappointed when she wore this extremely bizarre ensemble during an outing in New York City on Oct. 19. The singer donned an off-the-shoulder dress that appeared to be two pinstriped blazers sewed together. (See the extra sleeve awkwardly hanging off the back?) She accessorized with a white baseball cap, Lennon shades, a simple gold chain, a clear plastic handbag and a pair of the ugliest plastic-encased stilettos we've ever seen. Ugh.

Long live the queen! Beyonce showed off her truly jaw-dropping post-baby body in a curve-hugging asymmetrical long-sleeved Walter Mendez gown with a thigh-high slit during a Tidal event in New York City on Oct. 17. She accessorized with a purple stole to add an extra touch of glamour. Bow down!
Renee Zellweger was anything but mellow in yellow during the premiere of "Same Kind of Different as Me" in Los Angeles on Oct. 12. The Oscar winner donned a lovely Carolina Herrera confection with cap sleeves and a split in the middle. We especially loved the way the draping added volume at the hips — and if you look closely enough at the skirt, you can just make out the stunning yellow-and-gray print on the lining of the dress. It's all in the details, folks!

Selena Gomez really made an entrance with these mismatched Jacquemus strappy sandals. While one heel consisted of a yellow ball, the other was comprised of a small wood ball stacked on top of a flat-topped pyramid.
Demi Lovato looked lovely in lilac during the InStyle Awards in Los Angeles on Oct. 23. The singer-actress donned a spaghetti-strap Alice + Olivia dress with a ruched skirt and a thigh-high slit, which she wore with a studded double-wrapped belt.
Millie Bobby Brown is only 13, but she's already one of Hollywood's best-dressed stars. The "Stranger Things" actress looked impossibly chic in a sleeveless Calvin Klein sheath with a turtleneck during the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show in West Hollywood on Oct. 25. She completed her flawless look with patent leather pointy-toe booties and Gentle Monster Lennon shades.
Reese Witherspoon sparkled in a shimmery Calvin Klein Collection long-sleeved fit-and-flare LBD during ELLE's Women In Hollywood event in Los Angeles on Oct. 16. The bell sleeves, embossed fabric and cutouts at the shoulders really elevated this look. Well done!
Olivia Wilde donned this tragically unflattering rainbow polka-dot print Valentino dress during the Fifth Annual Save the Children Illumination Gala in New York City on Oct. 18. Bell sleeves may be in, but they can't be expected to make a dress a hit all on their own.
Print suits are so in this season, and we are ALL about them! Kristen Stewart donned one of our favorites during ELLE's Women In Hollywood event in Los Angeles on Oct. 16. The "Twilight" actress wore an edgy black-and-red Antonio Berardi suit with illusion panels at the shoulders over a black For Love & Lemons bra. Now let's get a closer look at her jacket…

Nikki Reed wore another one of our favorite matching suits of the month during the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show in West Hollywood on Oct. 25. (See, we told you there were a lot!) The "Twilight" alum's red Emporio Armani ensemble was equally chic and cheeky: In addition to the cream stripes at the cuffs, it features a tiny elephant print.
Jessica Simpson donned a snooze-worthy polka-dot Alaia dress during the Princess Grace Awards Gala Kick Off in Los Angeles on Oct. 24. It's not absolutely terrible, but it's not good either — and her red pumps only work to further cheapen the look.
Julianne Moore served up some fabulous street style following an appearance on "Good Morning America" in New York City on Oct. 19. The Oscar winner paired an asymmetrical McQ striped sweater with silky wide-leg pants. She completed her look with strappy black sandals and Lennon shades.
We thought we were over sheer jumpsuits until Alessandra Ambrosio wore this one by Zuhair Murad during ELLE's Women In Hollywood event in Los Angeles on Oct. 16. While it's certainly sexy, it's also more fun than the typical sheer jumpsuit thanks to the neckline and flared legs.
Adorable! Maisie Williams donned a fun and flirty Kenzo ensemble — striped pants with a matching ruffled tube top — during the Q Awards in London on Oct. 18. Fashion is supposed to be fun, and you can really tell the "Game of Thrones" star is having a whole lot of fun in this shot!
Rosamund Pike risked a wardrobe malfunction in a gorgeous Dior gown with a dangerously low-cut neckline during the Rome Film Festival premiere of "Hostiles" in Italy on Oct. 26. The feathered floral embellishments on the skirt are especially stunning. If only she'd gone without the brown alligator belt, which seems completely out of place with the rest of this look.
Rosario Dawson taught a lesson in effortlessly cool style during Childhelp's Evening Celebrating Hollywood Heroes in Beverly Hills on Oct. 18. The "Daredevil" actress looked super-hip yet also comfortable in an all-black ensemble — drop-crotch pants with a high-neck blouse, a boyfriend blazer, booties and a newsboy cap.
Several stars donned ensembles from Erdem's collection for H&M during an official launch party for the collaboration in Los Angeles on Oct. 18. By far our favorite was the black floor-length, floral-print sleeveless dress that Kate Bosworth wore. The affordable frock, which retails for just $299, looked like it had been made for the blonde beauty!
Kelly Rowland's Georges Chakra LWD was busy enough on its own (a lacy bodice and a sequined miniskirt with an ankle-length tulle overlay!) before she decided to pair it with red patent leather over-the-knee boots. The singer donned this befuddling getup during the InStyle Awards in Los Angeles on Oct. 23.
Distressed denim at a Hollywood premiere? If you can pull off the look the way Ashley Tisdale did, why not! The "High School Musical" alum wore her cuffed jeans with a tucked-in top and a black leather jacket during the premiere of the eighth season of "The Walking Dead" in Los Angeles on Oct. 22. She completed her look with booties and a skinny belt, but it was her deep purple lipstick that really took things to the next level as far as we're concerned!

Priyanka Chopra landed among the month's biggest fashion misses (again) with the voluminous burgundy minidress she wore during the Bumble Bizz One Connection event in New York City on Oct. 19. We loved her black over-the-knee boots, but her chunky black-and-white belt really cheapened the look, which already had its work cut out for it thanks to the drawstring cords hanging off her sleeves. (See that black loop over her left shoulder?)
Zendaya gave a classic Audrey Hepburn-inspired look a modern twist during the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show in West Hollywood on Oct. 25. The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" star donned a Teresa Helbig ensemble — sequined pants with a gorgeous coral turtleneck blouse — which she wore with teal suede Casadei heels.
Ciara donned a totally on-trend Marques Almeida minidress with beautiful voluminous bell sleeves during an appearance on "Good Morning America" in New York City on Oct. 12. (The sleeves!) She completed her look with shimmery floral-print over-the-knee boots.
It truly pains us to say this, but… We hate the bulky leather BreeLayne overalls Busy Philipps wore over a sheer turtleneck during ELLE's Women In Hollywood event in Los Angeles on Oct. 16. (When it comes to leather, we're just not sure this is the way to go.) If there's a bright side to her ensemble, it's how much the black made her pink tresses pop — and her matching envelope clutch is a nice touch.
Lily-Rose Depp donned one of our favorite LBDs of the month — a strappy embellished Chanel minidress with a voluminous tiered skirt — during the Second WWD Honors in New York City on Oct. 24. It was a dramatic yet age-appropriate look for the 18-year-old rising fashion star.
Hailey Baldwin hit yet another fashion home run in a Bottega Veneta ensemble during the Hammer Museum's Gala in the Garden in Los Angeles on Oct. 14. The rising style star wore a black short-sleeved turtleneck with a burgundy maxiskirt for a chic and sophisticated look.
Becky G looked red-hot in a super-sexy sheer Martha Medeiros gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit during the Latin American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Oct. 26. We just wish she'd gone with nude rather than black full-coverage briefs, which we can totally see through her skirt.
Cate Blanchett donned a long-sleeved gold turtleneck Gucci creation that had fashion critics divided during the Los Angeles premiere of "Thor: Ragnarok" on Oct. 10. While some applauded her daring fashion choice, we have to admit: We kinda hated it.
Pregnant Duchess Kate modeled her signature flawless fashion sense in a lovely lacy blue Temperley London dress during a reception for World Mental Health Day in London on Oct. 10. The velvety black string ties at the neck and wrists coupled with the black buttons and accessories made this the perfect look for early fall. Love!
Blake Lively was a vision in white in a form-fitting knee-length Ralph & Russo creation at a special screening of "All I See Is You" in West Hollywood on Oct. 10. We especially loved the unique flower details at the waist.
Emma Stone donned a stunning off-the-shoulder halter dress by Louis Vuitton, the brand for which she recently signed on as an ambassador, during the BFI London Film Festival premiere of "Battle of the Sexes" on Oct. 7. We just love the way those architectural sleeves contrast with the ethereal embroidered floral designs on the rest of the dress.
Womp. We expected more from Natalie Portman than the boring black Dior dress she wore during the L.A. Dance Project Gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 7. The three-quarter-sleeved bodice really seemed to fit poorly on the Oscar winner, and we just aren't fans of the bizarre, intentionally wrinkled-looking skirt. Next!
Julianne Moore really ruffled our feathers with the shapeless Chanel confection she wore during the 55th New York Film Festival premiere of "Wonderstruck" on Oct. 7. The feathers look like they belong on a much different, less heavy-looking dress. Fly away, Julianne!
Aubrey Plaza also donned a dress with befuddling feather details this month. The "Legion" star wore a yellow Prada number with bizarre patches of black-and-blue feather clumps during the BFI London Film Festival premiere of "Ingrid Goes West" on Oct. 7.
Mandy Moore donned one of our favorite LBDs of the month during FFANY's annual charity gala presented by QVC in New York City on Oct. 10. Her Adam Lippes dress featured a knotted bodice over a sheer lace panel and a lacy skirt. We really love the way she added pops of color with her red lipstick and rainbow-hued Casadei heels.
It truly pains us to say this, but we hate the ensemble Kerry Washington donned before an appearance on "The View" in New York City on Oct. 5. Her Faith Connexion shift dress swallowed her whole, and her red Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots just looked cheap. (They're not, by the way: A pair of those babies will set you back nearly $1K.)
We really had to take a moment to analyze the Louis Vuitton ensemble that Jennifer Connelly wore during the premiere of "Only the Brave" in Los Angeles on Oct. 8, and if we're being totally honest, the jury is still out. The Oscar winner playful mixed the old with the new in a floral-print jacket that gave us major Georgian Era vibes over silk gym shorts — yes, gym shorts, you read that right. Fab? Maybe. Fun? Definitely!
Margot Robbie looked red-hot in a chic Versace ensemble — an ankle-length skirt with a midriff-baring top and an '80s-style jacket with major shoulder pads — before an appearance on "Good Morning America" in New York City on Oct. 11.
Michelle Dockery is usually one of the best dressed women on the red carpet, but she made a rare fashion misstep during the BFI Luminous Fundraiser in London on Oct. 3. The "Downton Abbey" alum wore a bizarre, floral-print Erdem dress with an oversized belt in the same floral print, velvety, marigold-colored cuffs on the sleeves and a super-strange bib detail across the bust. So odd.
Julianne Hough let loose her inner flower child in a lovely floral-print wrap dress while visiting the "Extra" set in Los Angeles on Oct. 3. Her retro accessories — large teal earrings, oversized shades and platform sandals — really completed the look!
We adore Carey Mulligan, so we hate to say that she wore one of our least favorite looks of the month — but alas! The Oscar nominee donned a bizarre sea foam green Gucci dress with a black-and-gold overlay and three gold bands around the bodice during the BFI London Film Festival premiere of "Mudbound" on Oct. 5. What we REALLY hate, though, is the silver … thing … running along the neckline and down the front of her dress. Seriously, what is that? And WHY?
Dakota Johnson donned a truly eye-catching Proenza Schouler off-the-shoulder dress with a black bodice and asymmetrical ruffles during the 55th New York Film Festival premiere of "Call Me by Your Name" on Oct. 3. We just love this look and have to say, it's one of Dakota's best ever!
Bella Hadid is one of fashion's brightest new stars, so we were surprised to see her in this atrocious loose-fitting blue Marques'Almeida pantsuit — which is actually denim separates — with frayed hems. Ugh.

The onetime star of "The Vampire Diaries" modeled her new aesthetic in a strapless fit-and-flare, floral-print Zac Posen dress with embroidered flowers on the skirt during the premiere of "Only the Brave" in Los Angeles on Oct. 8. We're loving the new Nina!
Oh, man, we are so conflicted over the strapless midi-length dress Kate Mara donned during the BFI London Film Festival premiere of "Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool" on Oct. 11. On the one hand, we love the pleated skirt with its alternating strips of contrasting fabrics — and we REALLY love the way she completed her look with velvety, deep purple accessories and matching lipstick. We just wish the bodice wasn't so billowy on her slender frame.
Hey, Molly Sims, the '80s called, and they want their outfit back! The supermodel failed to impress in a leopard-print blouse with poof sleeve and black loose-fitting slacks, which she wore with an oversized belt, during an outing in New York City on Oct. 10. (Her hair looks great, though!)

The "Inglourious Basterds" actress donned a tuxedo-inspired fringed vest by Versace that we personally loved but that had fashion critics divided nonetheless. We wouldn't expect anything less from this fashionista!
Nicky Hilton Rothschild clearly missed the memo that fall is already well underway. That said, we love the summery ensemble — denim short shorts and an off-the-shoulder floral-print top with oversized shades and lace-up sandals — that the pregnant heiress donned during an outing in New York City on Oct. 10.
