He was there alongside the rest of the cast of the then-popular WB show "Everwood." Keep reading for even more throwbacks of your favorite stars on their first People's Choice Awards red carpet…

Mandy's self-titled third album was released the same year she attended her first PCAs — 2001! The pop star arrived in a gray pantsuit with some sparkly embellishments.
Back in 2006, Reese Witherspoon had two hit flicks out, so it's no wonder she won favorite leading actress during the 32nd Annual People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles that January. Her films "Just Like Heaven" and "Walk the Line" helped her take home the trophy that year.
Ted Danson attended his first PCAs looking dapper in a tux and bow tie. He was on hand for the 23rd Annual People's Choice Awards with wife Mary Steenburgen in January 1997 while the couple were co-starring on a CBS show called "Ink."
Jennifer Lawrence's first People's Choice Awards was in 2012. That year, she not only presented but was nominated for favorite movie superhero for her work as Mystique in "X-Men: First Class." She opted for this electric blue Viktor & Rolf minidress with mesh cutouts.

Sandra Bullock, who's up for female movie star of 2018 this year, first attended the show during the 22nd Annual People's Choice Awards back in March 1996. That year, she won favorite motion picture actress for her film "While You Were Sleeping" while sporting this lacy little dress.
In January 2005, Kristen Bell made her first People's Choice Awards appearance in a hot pink halter dress. That previous year, her show "Veronica Mars" debuted, giving her a brand new legion of fans.

Carrie Underwood's first PCAs were in 2009. The star sported this beautiful strapless, multicolored floral Naeem Khan gown for the occasion, where she not only performed but picked up two trophies — favorite female singer and favorite country song for "Last Name."
The youngest People's Choice Awards first-timer on the list? That honor goes to Drew Barrymore, who took home her first PCA prize way back in 1983 for her flick "E.T.," which won favorite motion picture at the award show's ninth annual ceremony. Drew is seen here with co-stars Henry Thomas and Robert MacNaughton.

A few months after "Modern Family" debuted in September 2009, Sofia Vergara was on hand for the 2010 People's Choice Awards — her first — in this slinky gray gown.
The perfect person for Ellen Pompeo to pose with at her first PCAs was obviously her co-star Patrick Dempsey. The "Grey's Anatomy" leads were on hand to accept the favorite TV drama prize at 2007's People's Choice Awards. Ellen might have been a newbie but Patrick's first time at the big show actually happened more than a decade prior…
Long before "Grey's Anatomy" hit the air, Patrick Dempsey attended his first People's Choice Awards in March 1991. He was there with Richard Grieco, Christian Slater and Costas Mandylor — his co-stars in the 1991 flick "Mobsters."

Six years later, she'd land her iconic role on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
Ellen DeGeneres attended her first People's Choice Awards in 1995 in a slick suit. She was on hand for the 21st Annual ceremony that March, which is when her sitcom, "Ellen," won favorite new TV comedy. Ellen also took home the prize for favorite female performer in a new TV series.
