Cardi B shares a single life update
Cardi B's not here for your divorce drama — and she's certainly not hurting in the suitor department. The rapper filed for divorce from Offset on Sept. 15, clarifying a few days later that their split had nothing to do with rumors of infidelity and worse. "I got tired of … arguing," she told Instagram followers. She doubled down on that sentiment Wednesday, addressing her single status via her OnlyFans account. "You cannot hurt my feelings trying to throw the divorce in my face because, at the end of the day, I decided I wanted to leave," Cardi assured users, according to E! News. "I didn't wait until he cheated on me again. I didn't wait [for] another controversy with him being involved. I decided to leave. If I wanted to stay, I could have stayed. I decided to leave." And now that she's left, by the way, she's finding she has plenty of options in the guys department — not that she's interested or even has time for a new romance. "I could date any man I want. My DMs are flooded," Cardi said. "I don't actually want to date nobody. I'm so focused on my business that it's crazy." Cardi and Offset are scheduled for a hearing in their divorce Nov. 4.

After no small amount of anticipation on the part of Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's fans, the couple welcomed a healthy baby girl over the weekend, confirming the happy news on social media. Their post also confirmed that plenty of A-listers were as eager to hear about their stork delivery as the hordes of fans who continually posted, albeit prematurely, about the little girl's arrival. Singer Dua Lipa — Gigi's brother Anwar Hadid's girlfriend — commented with a slew of heart-eye emojis, while Gigi's dad, Mohamed Hadid, welcomed his granddaughter with a handwritten poem and the caption, "welcome to Earth baby girl, Let's paint the town … and give it a little rock n roll." Hailey Bieber couldn't contain her excitement either, and wrote in the comments to the new parents' post,"❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Welcome babygirl! So happy for you guys." Naomi Campbell chimed in with warm wishes, too, telling her fellow fashion icon and beau, "Congratulations @gigihadid @zayn on you new bundle of Joy 💖💖💖."

Ready for some closet envy? Turns out Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's 16-year-old daughter, Apple Martin, already has her very own a stockpile of red carpet-ready, designer outfits, some of which date back to the late '80s. That's courtesy of Gwyneth, who chatted with People about her teenager's "beauty queen" acumen via Zoom recently. "She is glamorous in a way that I'm not," the Goop founder admitted. "She's very, very into makeup, which I'm not. She knows how to do it perfect winged eyeliner. She gave herself acrylic nails. She's a beauty queen," Gwyneth gushed. She went on to say Apple "loves to play in my closet." And there's plenty to play with in there, too. "I have saved everything for her since 15 years before I had her," Gwyneth said. "I save everything. Not everything, but every red carpet look I have saved for her." We assume that includes the stunning, white Tom Ford number the actress wore to the 2012 Oscars, as well as decades' worth of unforgettable gowns by the likes of Donna Karen, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Calvin Klein and more. Apple, who's already starting to look like a teenaged Gwyneth, showcased her fashion sense this summer when she appeared in a photo shoot with her mom to promote the July Core Collection for G. Label, Goop's clothing line.

Machine Gun Kelly didn't 'know what [love] was' before Megan Fox
The first time Machine Gun Kelly locked eyes with Megan Fox, there was apparently no going back. "I didn't know what [love] was until me and her made eye contact … that's when I was like, 'whoa,'" the rapper and actor told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show Wednesday, according to Page Six. "It was my first experience with being open to love and stuff like that. I definitely wasn't set up to believe that that's something that could ever exist." MGK and Megan met earlier this year on the set of "Midnight in the Switchgrass," and it didn't take long for them to transition from costars to lovers to what Megan recently described as "twin flames … two halves of the same soul." As for how they got to their current level of, um, twin flamery … it probably didn't hurt that MGK made a point of waiting for her to arrive on set every day on his trailer steps, hoping, "to catch one glimpse of eye contact." The rapper also referred to his BFF Pete Davidson's engagement to Ariana Grande "as a symbol of hope, because he was one of the boys," though he didn't share whether that hope faded when Pete and Ariana split. Either way, Howard seemed taken with MGK's love story and predicted that the rapper would marry Megan, presumably after her divorce from estranged husband Brian Austin Green. "Yeah, I'm down with that," he replied.
Vogue cover star Lizzo talks body positivity, racial justice and voting as an act of protest
Whether she's using music to celebrate every size, shape and color the human body comes in, or shutting down body-shamers with one epic TikTok, Lizzo is a positive force to be reckoned with. But as she explains in Vogue's October cover story, there's still a whole lot more work to do when it comes to achieving a real level of cultural acceptance for women who look like her. "I think it's lazy for me to just say I'm body positive at this point … It's easy," she explains in the piece, wihch features the singer looking utterly gorgeous in pieces by Valentino, Moschino Couture, Gucci and LaQuan Smith. "I would like to be body-normative. I want to normalize my body. And not just be like, 'Ooh, look at this cool movement. Being fat is body positive.' No, being fat is normal," Lizzo says. And while she's please to know, "this conversation is being included in the mainstream narrative," she's also concerned that shift is changing the original message. "What I don't like is how the people that this term was created for are not benefiting from it," she says. "Girls with back fat, girls with bellies that hang, girls with thighs that aren't separated, that overlap. Girls with stretch marks. You know, girls who are in the 18-plus club. They need to be benefiting from … the mainstream effect of body positivity now. But with everything that goes mainstream, it gets changed. It gets — you know, it gets made acceptable." The cover also touches on Lizzo's greatest concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic ("the emotional and mental effects … that's what stresses me out"), her hope for the future of race relations in America ("I want actual change … in the laws") and her determination to help increase voter turnout this fall. "My job isn't to tell you how to vote," Lizzo says. "But my job is hopefully to inspire you to vote…to activate you, so that you can take your protest to the ballot box."
Tommy Mottola comments on ex-wife, Mariah Carey's memoir
Mariah Carey famously referred to her marital home with then-Sony music chairman Tommy Mottola as "Sing Sing," thanks to the prison-like atmosphere he reportedly maintained. Tommy even copped to that fact — and apologized to Mariah — in his 2013 memoir. This week, Mariah's promoting a memoir of her own — and "The Meaning of Mariah Carey," reportedly features plenty of pages devoted to the pair's working and romantic relationship. Asked to comment on the book, Tommy had only kind words about his ex, telling Page Six in a statement: "I am deeply gratified to have played that role in Mariah's well-deserved and remarkable success, and continue to wish her and her family only the very best." Mariah met the legendary producer in 1988. They married five years later before calling it quits in 1997. As the singer told Oprah Winfrey this week, her next love, Derek Jeter "was a catalyst … that helped me get out of that relationship." In his book, Tommy admitted he was "obsessive" with regard to Mariah and said that given his role as the chair of Sony Music and her role as an artist signed to the label, the relationship was, "absolutely wrong." "The Meaning of Mariah Carey" is due out Sept. 29.
James Corden: 'There's absolutely no truth' to rumors he could replace Ellen DeGeneres
Just days after Ellen DeGeneres returned to the set of her show with an apology for creating a toxic work environment there, James Corden shut down rumors he could be up for her job. "Genuinely, I have no idea where that story came from, I think someone started a rumor somewhere and someone jumped on it," he said during Wednesday's "Late Late Show." (British tabloid The Sun appears to have been first to report James was in the running to take over for Ellen, citing NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy as a "huge fan of James.") "There's absolutely no truth to that story at all, zero," James continued. "As far as far as considering it, I think it would be a crazy thing to take over from someone who I think has done the job outrageously well for like 18 years. It's not true and when the day comes to end this show, will be the day to probably stop hosting a show every day." According to Deadline, James just extended his contract through August 2022.
Tyra Banks addresses "Dancing With the Stars" critics after hosting her second episode
Tyra Banks is giving herself a margin of error as the new host of "Dancing With the Stars." Last week's season premiere was met with gripes about her approach, largely from fans who wanted to see longtime hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews reinstated after they were fired in July so producers could try a new direction for the show. This week, Tyra met potential critics head-on, posting a TikTok video shortly after the episode aired. "Tonight I hosted the second episode of 'Dancing with the Stars' that I'm hosting this season, and it wasn't perfect," she admitted in the video (via Page Six). "Yeah, I had a lot of fun, but I messed up, I said the wrong words, but the thing is, I kept, kept going." She then pointed to 18-year-old Skai Jackson's performance on Tuesday, in which she seemed to trip while dancing a Samba. "She kind of fell during her dance, and she got back up and she kept going, and because of that, she's here for another week," Tyra said. "So the message is: I messed up this week. Skai messed up this week. But we're going to keep on going and going, alright? So, forgive yourself when you mess up. Stand the heck up and keep going." She added that the best response to haters is to not even acknowledge them: "And tell the haters, 'What? What? I don't know your name, what?'"

"Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021," the teen queen-turned Emmy nominated actress captioned photos of Taylor happily holding her baby bump. The baby news comes on the heels of Mandy's seventh studio album release — "Silver Landings" was her first LP in more than a decade. She and singer/songwriter Taylor Goldsmith, of the indie folk act Dawes, married in 2018.
Meghan Markle makes surprise appearance on "AGT" after voting message gets a rise out of Trump
Now that Meghan Markle's settled into her new house in California with Prince Harry and their 1-year-old son, Archie, the former "Suits" star is making her way back into the spotlight. In fact, the Duchess of Sussex popped up on small screens across the country twice this week. On Tuesday, Meghan and Harry appeared in ABC's Time 100 special, where they joined celebrities, activists, writers and leaders the magazine has deemed to be the most influential people of 2020. Then, on Wednesday, Meghan surprised "America's Got Talent" fans when she made a quick cameo during the season finale to show her support for singer Archie Williams, who was released from prison in Louisiana in 2019 after serving 36 years for a crime new fingerprint evidence finally proved he did not commit. Telling the singer that she and Harry have "been so moved by" Archie's story and have been "cheering" for him, Meghan added, "Archie … we are proud of you and are rooting for you. We can't wait to see what you do. We're in your corner, have a good night." Her appearance on "AGT" came just hours after Donald Trump was asked about the Sussexes' get-out-the-vote message at a White House briefing. "I'm not a fan of hers. And I would say this – and she probably has heard that – but, I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he's going to need it," Trump replied, according to CBS. Back in March, after the president tweeted, "the U.S. will not pay for [Meghan and Harry's] security protection" in the U.S., a rep made it clear that was never the couple's intention. According to Elle, "Finding Royal" reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand later wrote that, "Meghan's response to the … tweet was to roll her eyes."
