On Feb. 15, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux announced that they'd separated in late 2017 after two and a half years of alleged marriage (more on that to come) — and after nearly seven years as a couple. "We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship," they said in a joint statement, adding that the decision to end their relationship was "lovingly made" and mutual. "Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another," continued the statement, which arrived on the heels of rampant speculation in recent weeks that the duo had called it quits. Several outlets reported that the rift in their relationship had been caused by the fact that they rarely spent time together as Jen prefers life in Los Angeles while Justin favors New York City. "Justin gave up many months ago," a source told People magazine, adding that while Jen "seems okay now," she "was still hoping as of a few weeks ago that they could figure things out." According to a source who spoke to The Sun, "The reality is he's been partying with all sorts of people in New York and couldn't have looked less like a married man. He's even been telling people he's single, while she spends most of her time in L.A. doing yoga, eating healthily and living a quiet life." Continued the source, "They tried to imply they were announcing this to get on the front foot, but they feared the truth might emerge any minute. Too many people had started to realize. He's been pretty much living in New York full-time and growing close to other people, so it was only a matter of time. … The arty scene really embraced him. He's a quirky character with very diverse interests. He loves fashion, design and, weirdly, has a collection of human teeth. The reality is Jen just doesn't fit in. She's a home girl who likes cozy nights in with friends. He wants to feel cutting edge and different." In spite of their differences, the split does truly appear to be amicable — Justin was even see hanging out with Jen's bestie, Courteney Cox, in New York City in January 2018. The logistics of the breakup should also prove manageable considering the duo maintained their own residences as separate property. Though a source told Us Weekly that the duo signed "an ironclad prenup" that would be "very hard for Justin to contest — "The prenup talks before the marriage were long and intense," said the source, who added that "Jen's assets and 'Friends' fortune are protected" — it appears the duo might not have been married at all. TMZ reported on Feb. 17 that they were unable to find any record of a marriage license for Jen and Justin in Los Angeles County going as far back as 2010. The webloid added that according to their sources, the couple did not obtain a confidential marriage license, nor have they contacted any high-profile divorce lawyers about ending their marriage. TMZ added that according to its Aniston insiders, who have been in contact with the actress for years, there has been chatter for a while now that she and Justin were never legally married. How's that for a twist ending?!

Brad Pitt's name is back in the headlines thanks to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston's split from Justin Theroux. The Blast reported on Feb. 15 that the former couple have "been in touch" lately but that there's "nothing going on" romantically between them. According to the report, Brad and Jen have spoken several times over the past few months but never about their respective relationships. "There wasn't any communication about Jen's split with Justin," a source told the webloid. As for whether or not the former Hollywood golden couple could ever reconcile, the source admitted that "something crazy could happen" — but not "at this point." On Feb. 21, Us Weekly reported that two years ago, Justin got upset after he found old love notes from Brad to Jen that she'd held onto over the years. "He stumbled upon old Post-it notes Brad had written," a source told the magazine. "Sweet little Post-its like, 'You looked nice tonight' or 'Miss you already.' … Jen assured him they weren't a big deal, but Justin wasn't thrilled. … Justin had moments of insecurity like that."

Sally Field tried to set up her son, Sam Greisman, with Olympian Adam Rippon by connecting them on Twitter. On Feb. 16, Sam tweeted a sceengrab of a conversation with his mother in which she encouraged him to "find a way" to date the ice skater, whom she called "insanely pretty." "Just some really helpful advice from my mom on how to deal with my Olympic crush," Sam captioned the image, which Sally then retweeted, tagging Adam in the process. "Sam was mortified. I have to [butt] out now… but I would like to see Adam in the family," the Oscar winner told BuzzFeed, who relayed her message to the Olympian. "Sally! She bold," Adam told BuzzFeed as part of an interview that hit the Internet on Feb. 19. "Sam, your mom — I admire her," he continued. "And I'm sure one day we're going to meet! So thanks, Mom." The following day, Page Six reported that "an Olympic spy" overheard Adam saying that Sam was so embarrassed by his mother's headline-making antics, he sent the Olympian a direct message on Twitter "to apologize for his mom embarrassingly trying to set them up."
Kendall Jenner's romance with Blake Jenner — who was recently hit with a palimony suit from Brynn Cameron, his ex-fiancée and the mother of his two children — has hit another speed bump. "Being traded from Los Angeles to Detroit so abruptly was just a total shock for Blake, and now this lawsuit Brynn filed, well, it's taking a toll on his relationship with Kendall," a source told Us Weekly as part of a report that hit the Internet on Feb. 16. "Blake knew the palimony suit was going to be filed about a week ago, but didn't know the exact date and warned Kendall ahead of time," the source said. "He didn't know to the extent she would be included in the filing, but strongly suspected Kendall would be dragged into this." (According to the court documents filed on Feb. 14 and obtained by the magazine, the suit states that Blake "had no problem trading" Brynn for Kendall and alleges that the basketball star "cared more about the glamour of dating a Hollywood celebrity than the day-to-day responsibilities of being a father and family man.") "Kendall just doesn't understand the need to drag her into a dispute between two people that absolutely had nothing to do with her," continued Us Weekly's source. "She got involved with Blake after he had already dumped Brynn. Brynn and Blake had been off and on for years, [so] to portray Kendall as some sort of homewrecker is just out of bounds." The source added that "it's incredibly disappointing for Blake that a private family matter is now out in the public" and that "he is foremost concerned about his children." But Brynn sees it another way. According to the court documents she filed, she was under the impression that Blake was still trying to make things work with her when he started seeing Kendall. "In about August 2017, after humiliating his family by sending a very public weekend with Jenner in the Hamptons when he told Cameron he would be in Oklahoma, Griffin informed Cameron he had no intention of continuing to live with her and their children," read the documents.

The following month, the "Pitch Perfect 2" star declined to fully shoot down the rumors while discussing her love life with Us Weekly: "I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I'm doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it's hard for people in general to realize that there are boundaries to a person's life and personal life," she said. "I am a very private person. … I do love that I have the opportunity to share with them what I'm comfortable with and they're there to listen and support me."
If a Feb. 20 report in The Sun is to be believed, there's trouble in paradise for Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole, who welcomed son Bear together in March 2017. The One Direction singer has reportedly gotten legal advice about how to handle a potential breakup from the singer and reality competition show judge. "Liam has sought some legal advice but he still wants to make it work," a source told the British tabloid. "It's just sensible to be prepared for all options. … With a young son and a number of assets between them there is more to breaking up than just parting ways. He hopes it doesn't come to it but he's just being careful." Sources tell The Sun that Liam's busy work schedule is to blame for the rift in their relationship of two years. In spite of the rumors, the duo put on a united front during the BRIT Awards in London on Feb. 21.

Hold tight to each other. There are always bumps in the road. Keep focusing on Jesus! He will guide you thru!" wrote the fan. Mike quickly replied, "That's not media. We've never been better. Thanks." Us Weekly reported on Feb. 21 that the longtime couple are in a good place and are actually trying to get pregnant again. "Everyone around her knows she wants a big family, and they're always trying for another baby," said a source. Added a second source, "Carrie and Mike have a great life and a very strong marriage — one that their friends envy. … They are completely committed to each other and in it for the long run."

The Oscar winner showed up to the party alone "but spent a lot of the night flirting with Heidi," a witness told Page Six as part of a Feb. 20 report. The supermodel hasn't dated publicly since splitting from Vito Schnabel in mid-2017, while Adrien hasn't been seen with longtime love Lara Lieto, to whom he was first linked in 2012, since late 2017.

"It is very new, but they are exclusive," an insider told E! News as part of a Feb. 16 report. "Stassi is happy that she didn't have to use a dating app and met him organically through her best friends. … Beau is very social and likable within his friend group, and that's why Katie [Maloney] and Kristen [Doute] thought he would be a good match for her." Continued the E! insider, "Stassi thinks he's hilarious, and they both share similar humor. … They have been spending a lot of time together, and he stays at her apartment often. They both bond over their obsession with their dogs. Beau has slowly been introduced to the 'Vanderpump' circle and there have been no issues yet."

According to Bossip, Mike claims Jill has aired their dirty laundry on social media, accused him of being a con artist and raised questions about his sexual orientation. "We are very pleased with the decision today of the court to also grant our restraining order," his lawyer told the website. "We are hopeful now that Ms. Scott Williams will refrain from posting anything negative about Mr. Dobson, whether direct or indirect, whether implied or by innuendo."

"We're planning to have the wedding in the fall so that we can start a family sooner rather than later," said the bride-to-be.

Lionel Richie is still not a fan of daughter Sofia Richie's relationship with Scott Disick. "It's just a phase and I'm going to stand real still in the corner, get me a good drink and not make too much noise," the music legend told Australia's News Corp. "Now I know what my parents meant when I came through the door with my Afro and my girlfriend and said, 'Dad, I'm in love,'" he added. "My daughter is getting me back for my Afro days! She's 19. When you're 19 you know everything." Lionel acknowledged that the father of three appears to be nice based on their limited interactions with one another but said that he ultimately hasn't made up his mind about Scott: "This is a well-oiled machine, the Kardashian machine. I don't really know what to think," said the singer.
