Jennifer Garner wants to be single — ASAP. On Oct. 4, TMZ reported that Jen — who announced her split from Ben Affleck after 10 years of marriage in June 2015 and filed for divorce early in 2017 — just filed legal papers asking the court to transfer their case to a private judge. The reason, TMZ explains, is because "the courts often move at a glacial pace and Jen is out of patience. A private judge can accelerate the process and handle the final details quickly." The site reports that the actress hopes to be legally single by the end of 2018. The reason Jen and Ben's split process has taken so long, TMZ adds, is because Jen didn't want to finalize a custody agreement with Ben if he wasn't sober. And as the world knows, he's been struggling with alcohol issues over the last few years. In August, Jen led an intervention to get him back into rehab, which has, so far, been successful.

People magazine got it right, TMZ reported on Oct. 2: After weeks of speculation and conflicting reports from multiple outlets, it turns out that Justin Bieber did legally marry Hailey Baldwin at a New York City courthouse on Sept. 13 — barely three months after they rekindled their previously on-off romance and just two months after he proposed in the Bahamas. And, TMZ reported, they proceeded with the civil ceremony without a prenup in place. TMZ reports that the couple, whom some outlets believed only got a marriage license that day, had a preacher there (Nyack College faculty member Jeffrey Quinn) and had Justin's friend Josh Mehl, who attends Churchome in Los Angeles, serve as a witness. More evidence they're married? The Windsor Star reported that during Justin and Hailey's Sept. 30 visit to Canada's Stratford Perth Museum — which has an exhibit dedicated to the pop star's career — Justin "very graciously introduced Hailey as his wife," museum staff wrote on Instagram. All that said, the next day, TMZ reported that Justin and Hailey still don't really consider themselves to be married yet. "We're told they believe a church ceremony is necessary to make the marriage meaningful in the eyes of God," TMZ wrote in an Oct. 3 report, adding that a religious wedding ceremony is in the works for early 2019.

That's a wrap! After three years of marriage and two children, Jenni "JWoww" Farley filed for divorce from Roger Mathews on Sept. 12 — although news outlets didn't pick it up until Sept. 27. The reality star listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Roger, however, took to Instagram to tell fans he's determined to win his wife back. "My wife filed for divorce, it's true. I'm just gonna keep it simple. I don't blame her. There's no cheating or any dumb s—, any juicy details. She just grew tired of the repetitive pattern that we fell into…" he said. "Again, I'm not gonna get into detail but it was a repetitive pattern and not a good one. I'm not done fighting, I'm gonna win my wife back."
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Lauren Pesce have reportedly set a wedding date! The "Jersey Shore" star and his longtime love, who got engaged in April, are planning to get married in early November, a source told RadarOnline.com. Then came confirmation: A fan snapped a photo of the Oscar nominee and Johnny Depp's daughter walking with their arms around one another, and on Oct. 1, an eyewitness saw the actors — who are co-stars in the new Netflix movie "The King" — engaging in some serious PDA. "They were walking down the street and he stopped her and pulled her close," the eyewitness told Us Weekly. "They started making out for a while, for over a minute." If this is a love match, we could be looking at young Hollywood's newest power couple!
Eve Mavrakis and Ewan McGregor are still trying to hammer out the details of their divorce. According to an Oct. 1 report from The Blast, Ewan, who's been "voluntarily contributing to the living expenses" of Eve and their three minor children (actress daughter Clara is an adult) even though there's no court order compelling him to, feels he's been overpaying while Eve thinks he's not paying enough. The divorce hasn't been easy since the couple split in 2017 after 22 years of marriage amid claims Ewan cheated on his wife with his current girlfriend, "Fargo" co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
On the heels of the news that Shia LaBeouf and FKA Twigs are now dating, their respective exes, Mia Goth and Robert Pattinson, stepped out to promote their new movie together, "High Life." A source told E! that Mia and Robert "think it's comical and are not surprised that their exes got together and even saw it coming." R-Patz and Twigs called off their two-year engagement in 2017, while Mia and Shia recently ended their brief marriage.
It turns out that Ving Rhames and wife Deborah quietly split years ago, but their breakup is only now coming to light as new court documents reveal they're still fighting over support and custody issues. On Oct. 2, The Blast reported that the "Mission: Impossible" franchise star filed for separation in 2013, noting at the time that he and Deborah had actually split in 2011. Deborah didn't respond to the "Pulp Fiction" actor's filing until 2016. Since then, their case has been quiet — at least until Ving filed court papers last week asking the court to set a trial date as he seeks to sort out custody and child support for their two kids as well as spousal support for Deborah.
They're officially married! "America's Next Top Model" alum Adrianne Curry and Matthew Rhode eloped on Sept. 15 at Glacier National Park in Montana, she announced days later on social media. The couple had a "Game of Thrones"-themed wedding — Adrianne's dress was inspired by one worn by Daenerys Targaryen! The photos are pretty impressive.
No divorce here! Despite ongoing rumblings that they're splitting, a lawyer for Teresa Giudice insisted to Page Six that the "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star isn't planning to divorce husband Joe, who's been in federal prison since 2016 serving a 41-month sentence on fraud charges. "Teresa is not talking about getting divorced, she is not thinking about getting divorced and she's not filing for divorce," James Leonard Jr. said. "It's not happening, not just now, but never. I can't be any more clear about it."
First comes baby, then comes marriage! Sophia Hutchins, 22, just opened up more than ever before about her relationship with Caitlyn Jenner, 68. Though Sophia — who, like constant companion Caitlyn, is a transgender woman — said she wouldn't define their relationship as "romantic," she made some other comments that make it pretty clear these two are far more than friends. TMZ obtained a clip of the 2018 Pepperdine University graduate's interview with Jim Breslo for his Oct. 3 "Hidden Truth" podcast in which Sophia says, "I would describe our relationship as we're partners… we both are such a good match for each other because we challenge each other… It's just a great match, a great partnership." She confirmed that she and Caitlyn live together too. "We're partners in everything that we do. We're inseparable. We're business partners. We live together. We share a dog. We share family. We share a life together," Sophia added. "But as far as caving into the media and having one of us label it as something, we're not going to do that." As for ongoing engagement speculation, she said they'll tell the world if that happens. "If Caitlyn and I were to be engaged, we would announce that," Sophia insisted. "We're not ashamed about our relationship at all. But we do like to have some privacy and that's something that we would decide when the time was right to announce."
It took them a while, but it finally happened: Nearly two years after they started dating and nearly a year after they got engaged, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner finally walked their first red carpet together, People magazine reported. Talk about awkward! While appearing on the Sept. 27 episode of "Watch What Happens Live," model Elle Macpherson opened up about her time with Billy Joel and how their relationship overlapped with Billy's romance with model Christie Brinkley, who would later become his wife (and ex-wife). Elle said the musician brought Christie home to his Manhattan penthouse one night when Elle was there waiting for him. "I think he was dating Christie at the time, just starting to," Elle explained. "So yeah, I got ousted, what can I say?" Elle, who was just 19 when it all went down, also weighed in on whether Billy's huge hit "Uptown Girl" is about her or Christie. "I think it's [about] all the uptown girls, put it that way," she told host Andy Cohen, adding, "he liked tall girls."
