Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in early August 2020, starting with this surprising news… On Aug. 6, In Touch reported that, according to a source, Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend of about two years, businessman John Miller, are "no longer together." They reportedly called it quits "before L.A. went into lockdown" amid the coronavirus pandemic but "remain on friendly terms," leaving the door open for a possible reconciliation. "There's a possibility that they could rekindle their relationship in the future, but right now it's over," said the insider. The same day the breakup made headlines, TMZ published photos of the actress and former "Alias" co-star Bradley Cooper hanging out at the beach in Malibu with his daughter, Lea. The webloid characterized the Aug. 5 photos as "flirty" and noted that the longtime pals were rumored to have dated back when they co-starred on the J.J. Abrams spy series. TMZ later reported that according to sources, the duo "have been close friends for years" and "have spent time together with their significant others." In early 2019, for example, Jen hosted Bradley, his mother, daughter Lea and the little girl's mother, the Oscar nominee's then-girlfriend, Irina Shayk, for dinner at her home in Los Angeles. (Bradley and Irina split a few months later.) Now keep reading for more of the week's biggest celeb love life updates…
After months of rumors about the nature of their relationship, People magazine reported on Aug. 3 that Khloe Kardashian and her off-and-on boyfriend of several years, Tristan Thompson, officially reconciled in June. "She loves having him around. He has the best relationship with [their daughter] True. And he has been amazing to Khloe too," said the source, adding that "they are very much together" and that Khloe "is beyond happy." The insider added that the pair have been thriving amid the coronavirus pandemic: "They have been living in kind of a bubble and Khloe enjoys it," said the source. "Tristan's traveling was always a concern. This is when he would mess up their relationship. She hopes that Tristan has changed, though, so they can continue to be together as a family." Echoed an Us Weekly source, "Khloe is hopeful that Tristan has changed for good and will continue to grow and be the great and loyal partner that he has been throughout their time together during the quarantine. … The fact that Tristan hasn't been working or been able to hang out with his friends and other athletes who have previously been a negative influence on him like he used to has been great for their relationship. But when things do go back to normal, who knows what will happen?" A second Us Weekly source said that Khloe would like to have another child with the NBA player, who's "trying to get traded" to a basketball team in Los Angeles or California. An "Entertainment Tonight" source added that "Khloe is doing what she feels is right for herself and her daughter," and although she's aware of the fact that many of her fans will disapprove of her decision to reconcile with Tristan, she's "never listened to outside voices" and has "always stayed true to her heart."

On July 31, philanthropist Irena Medavoy indicated on Instagram that Sean Penn and his much younger love of about four years, Leila George, had quietly tied the knot. "We are so happy for @leilageorge #seanpenn getting married," Irena captioned a since-deleted Instagram post, adding that she was "over the moon" that the 59-year-old Oscar-winning actor found his "soul mate true partner" and "true love that also changes the world for better" with the 28-year-old "Animal Kingdom" actress. On the July 30 episode of Steve-O's "Wild Ride!" podcast, Tiffany Haddish confirmed that after years of rumors about the nature of their relationship, she and Common are finally a couple. "I am in a relationship," she said. When Steve-O asked for clarification that the rapper-actor is the man in her life, the comedian replied by referencing her newly shaved head, "Yeah, we're twins now. … I'm doing it with Common now." She went on to detail how they took their relationship to the next level after connecting on the set of the 2019 drama "The Kitchen." She also explained how Bumble played a role in their romance. "We became friends, but it wasn't, like, anything sexual or anything like that cause … my eyes were set on something else," she recalled. "Then I went into this whole period of, like, 'Yeah, I want to start dating.' So I got on Bumble like May last year and was like hanging out with guys in New York while I was out there and hanging out in L.A., and I just realized, like, 'Yeah, this is kind of fun.' And then Bumble approached me about doing something, and I had been talking to Common and hanging out — like, he comes to play Spades with me and my friends and stuff. … At this point our friendship was getting a little more than friendship but not quite because COVID happened and we were, like, quarantined. So then it was like we're FaceTiming all the time. And then I'm like, 'Well, you should check out Bumble. Why don't we do this on Bumble? And, like, we can [share the experience for] charity.' … And then he got tested for everything. I got tested for everything. Yeah, we've been [sleeping together]." Tiffany later noted that this is her first time dating and being in a relationship with a celebrity. "This is hands down the best relationship I've ever been in," she gushed. "I feel more confident in me, and it's not him that's doing it. … [I'm just] way happier, and it's knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does, anyways. And I love it — I love him."
After a four-month delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, Clare Crawley started shooting the 16th season of "The Bachelorette" in mid-July. But then just two weeks into production, she was abruptly replaced — reportedly by Tayshia Adams, who competed for Colton Underwood's heart on season 23 of "The Bachelor" before finding love with John Paul Jones on season 6 of "Bachelor in Paradise." On July 30, Life & Style magazine shed some light on what went wrong: According to a source, Clare refused to continue shooting because after just 12 days, she'd "already fallen in love" with one of her suitors — former professional football player Dale Moss. Then on Aug. 4, multiple media outlets reported that it wasn't exactly love at first sight for the new couple: They reportedly connected before production commenced. "[He] found a way to get in touch with her and they began talking," said a People magazine source. "By the time filming officially began, they were basically already in love. No one else stood a chance. It just became so obvious from her subsequent few dates that her heart wasn't in it and she just wasn't feeling it. Then she said she wanted out." According to an Us Weekly source, Dale "always thought Clare was attractive before they even met." Said the insider, "She is totally his type and he loved her energy. … [He] contacted her before the show and they really hit it off. They would DM a bunch and then started FaceTiming and things moved quickly." On Aug. 3, Life & Style dropped a major bombshell: According to a source, Clare and Dale are already engaged.
According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West and their four children jetted off to "a tropical island outside the country" on Aug. 2 for what the webloid characterized as "a private family vacation to try and work things out" amid recent reports that the power couple is headed for a divorce after six years of marriage. Writes TMZ, "[They] are trying to navigate an extremely rough patch in their relationship and hope a family trip will help to set things straight … before it's beyond repair." TMZ adds that things between Kim and Kanye "have been icy" recently. They reportedly "hadn't seen each other much at all for months" — Kanye has been living at their ranch in Wyoming, while Kim has been with their kids in Los Angeles. "The family trip will mark one of the first they've taken in a long time … and outside the vacation, Kim and Kanye hadn't spent much time together outside family birthdays and holidays," TMZ notes, adding that the trip will also serve as a time for the rapper to prove "that he's willing to change for his family."

She shared an old video (which she's since deleted) of herself and her beau toasting with colorful cocktails while sitting on the patio at a restaurant in Santa Barbara, California. When she asks him what they're doing, he responds, "We just had the most amazing engagement, so we're celebrating." In the caption, the singer defended her love, who's Nigerian, against recent allegations of controlling behavior on his part. She also thanked him for his support amid her recent mental health struggles. "People coming at you saying all this crazy stuff, isn't easy for me. People have called you every name in the book, to deflect from what's really been going on. Through this entire time, you have held my hand, heard my cries, held me when I have been weak. You have had my ENTIRE back!! I will not allow anyone to call you controlling or 'that's that African man' like I don't have a mind of my own cause without THIS African man, I simply would not be here. Everything isn't political and your love for me is not that. You were here for me when NOBODY was and still is. YOU and [my son] Logan are priority. Thank you for being my Rock and now, my Angel on earth. I love you.. and although I been said yes in this old video… now and then, I couldn't imagine what life would be like if you weren't by my side. thank God I'm here and thank God for you." According to a statement released by the country crooner's rep, the duo said "I do" at their home in southern Florida. "Despite the threat of a hurricane, the couple had a lovely intimate ceremony and will be celebrating with friends and family in the new year," said the rep, referencing tropical storm Isaias, which battered the East Coast. The pair started dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2018.

On the Aug. 4 episode of their show, Paris admitted that she wasn't sure "what's going to happen in the future" with her and Gabe, who said that "even if we didn't work out as a couple, we always would want to be in a band together." Said Paris, "Gabe showed me love does exist — not just in the movies. And it's not as pretty as it looks in the movies. It can get ugly. And it can be more beautiful than described in the movies, and it is possible. He makes me not feel as alone. He's had an impact on me and my life and my heart in ways that I cannot even describe. I'd do anything for her. We're not dating. I'll end it with that," he said, adding that they "cracked up" when they heard that fans were speculating they're an item. The duo "just became kind of like the best of friends" while shooting the Netflix rom-com, Taylor said. Once they returned from set, they "just kept hanging out." Explained the actor, "We live really near each other. And then the quarantine hit and we kinda just needed someone to trust during that time, like, 'OK, I know you're not going out. I know who you're seeing.' So we just became really close." Joey was thought to be dating "The Act" and "Briarpatch" producer Steven Piet, but his regular appearances on her Instagram feed came to a sudden halt in late March.
Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported on Aug. 3 that, according to a source, Joey King's older sister, "The Young and the Restless" star Hunter King, and her fiancé of nearly two years, cameraman Nico Svoboda, "called off their engagement a few months ago." Said the source, "It was an amicable split. They obviously still follow each other on social media and care about one another."

In other Bachelor Nation romance news… During an interview with Us Weekly that popped up online on Aug. 4, Bachelor Nation's Annaliese Puccini — who competed for Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s heart on season 22 of "The Bachelor" before appearing on two seasons of "Bachelor in Paradise" — dished on how she met new boyfriend Austin Grippo, whom she debuted on Instagram on July 10 (see him here), "in a small local dive bar" in Lake Tahoe, California. "[It was] the same night I ran into my ex for the first time since we had broken up," she recalled. "I really didn't want to stay at the bar after seeing my ex, but with some encouragement from my friends, I stayed and ended up I talking to the cute guy that I'd been eyeing. Turns out he's actually pretty great and now my boyfriend." They soon decided to quarantine together amid the coronavirus pandemic. "From the beginning of quarantine up until now, we have basically spent every waking moment together," she said. "Thankfully, he did not watch 'The Bachelor' and was not particularly interested that I was on reality TV. … Maybe one day I'll show him if he's curious, but for now I'm just grateful that he's getting to know the real me." Concluded the blonde beauty, "Quickly, I realized he was not a rebound guy. We have so much fun together. Even though we are very different people, we genuinely respect, trust and challenge each other. It's not always easy spending every second of every day together, but we have learned a lot about each other and grown to adjust to the current times with good communication being absolutely vital."

"Roses are red, violets are blue, whoever finishes this best, dinner on me for two," the Bachelor Nation star wrote in the caption, prompting the catcher to write in the comments section, "Roses are red, violets are blue…. I'll change your name to Rutschman from Prew." Replied Madi, "Woah this is moving really fast….. first I need to know how do u say that last name." But Harry — who dated Sonja Morgan off and on for years, was married to Aviva Drescher and has been linked to Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer — is reportedly "madly in love" with Rachel, according to two Page Six sources. "I do like her very much," he admitted. "We are great friends. Who knows where the future is gonna go? Is it heading in that direction? I don't know. … [But] everything she said is correct. I'm not saying that there is anything happening."
Yikes! Brian Austin Green took a public swipe at his estranged wife, Megan Fox, after she took to Instagram on Aug. 5 to share a mirror selfie with her new boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly. "Achingly Beautiful Boy… My heart is yours," she captioned the shot. A few hours later, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum shared a slideshow of photos of his four sons: his adult son from a previous relationship and the three young boys he shares with Megan. "Achingly beautiful boys…… My heart is yours," he wrote in the caption, perfectly mimicking his ex. On the Aug. 3 episode of the "Hollywood Raw" podcast, Brian said that he and Megan are doing "as well as we can" and "learning as we go" amid their split. "I wish Megan the absolute best in everything. I want her to be completely happy — for her and for the kids. That's super-important," he said. "Nobody wants to be around somebody that's unhappy, nothing good comes out of that. That's a terrible situation. We are taking it day by day." As for her romance with MGK, "I found out in my own way. And that's as much detail as I'll give you on that one," he said, adding that he "didn't read about it or anything like that."
Meanwhile, on the Aug. 3 episode of the "Hollywood Raw" podcast, Brian Austin Green opened up about dating again in the wake of his public split from Megan Fox. "It sucks," he said. "What people normally do when they get out of something is they date. They talk to multiple people at once. Some people use dating apps — they talk to multiple people, they go on multiple dates. They spend time with people until you feel a connection with somebody then something builds from there. What's unfortunate for me in this situation is I'll literally go on one date with someone — not even a date, just out to lunch with somebody — and it's written, 'His new fling — he's playing two women at the same time.' No. I literally spent one time with each of these women. I'm not playing anybody. My life is just much more under a microscope than somebody else's." He went on to say that Instagram has played big role in his love life: "I had no idea that Instagram was so much of a dating site until I was single," he said. "I was a total married dad on it. Then all of a sudden I started getting DMs when Megan and I separated. Instantly, no shame in their game at all." That's how he connected with Courtney Stodden and Tina Louise…
Brian Austin Green didn't hold back on the "Hollywood Raw" podcast while discussing his short-lived relationship with Courtney Stodden: "I remember when I hung out with Courtney getting a call from somebody afterward saying, 'There are pictures of you and Courtney Stodden,' and I was like, 'How do you know her name?' I had no idea who she was or any of the past anything," he said. "I had done no research at all. It wasn't until I was told, 'This is the past. This is who this person is. This is what you might have to experience.' Then you have that moment of … what have I done? Hindsight, again, 20/20. I wish I would have known beforehand. … Courtney was a really nice person, though. I don't want to bad-mouth her. She may have done some of the things she's done, been the person she's been, is the person she is, but when I spent time with her, [she was] super-kind, super-polite." He went on to say that he felt "betrayed" when Courtney shared a video of them hanging out in a hot tub "out of context" — the same day he was first seen with model Tina Louise. "She literally posted that the same day that pictures of myself and Tina came out," explained the former teen heartthrob. "It was very apparent why she had done it. She wanted to create a story and create some issues and something to be talked about and keep that going. … It's been about, 'Let me drag this out as long as possible — let me write a song about [it].' … It's insane. Let's call that like it is: It's insane." He then bashed Courtney's new song "Side Effects," which she's implied in interviews is inspired by Brian. "Don't you need to have some sort of connection to somebody to write a song?" he asked. "What's funny too, when you read into the story a bit, she'll be like, 'The song's not really about him — it's about love, but it was kind of inspired by…' It's like, 'No, it wasn't. You just wanted to put my name in the story because then people will listen to your song and they're going to be interested in what they're talking about." As for Tina…
On the "Hollywood Raw" podcast, Brian Austin Green confirmed late-July reports that it was Tina Louise who decided to pull the plug on their burgeoning romance. "Tina is really cool. Tina is really an intelligent woman. She is the one who approached me and she said to me, 'With the craziness going around you and Megan and the whole situation, I think what would be best for you is to take some time with just your kids and yourself and really work on just being alone and healing yourself and going through that,'" he recalled. "That was cool coming from her. She didn't need to say something like that." Concluded the actor of his headline-making love life, "I've been single this whole time. Dating, I guess. I'm open to meeting somebody, but my focus is on myself and healing with all of this and my kids and them experiencing it the best way that they can. … I can't really put a label on what I'm doing — it's different. What I'm doing compared to how it's been portrayed are two completely different things." He also noted that although he doesn't expect to get married again later in life, "never say never."
When Dr. Dre's wife of 24 years, lawyer Nicole Young, filed for divorce in late June, there were reports that the duo didn't have a prenuptial agreement in place. But on July 29, TMZ reported that in the music mogul's response to his estranged wife's petition for divorce, he indicated that he's willing to pay spousal support to her but asked the court to follow the terms of their prenup as it pertains to their division of assets. Then on Aug. 4, TMZ reported that Nicole is contesting the prenup, arguing that she was forced to sign it before she wed Dre, who was born Andre Romelle Young, in 1996. "I was extremely reluctant, resistant and afraid to sign the agreement and felt backed into a corner. Given the extraordinary pressure and intimidation by Andre, I was left with no option but to hire a lawyer (of course, with the help of Andre's team of professionals) and unwillingly signed the agreement very shortly before our marriage," she claims in divorce paperwork obtained by TMZ. She reportedly added that two years after they tied the knot, "Andre acknowledged to me that he felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me. Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement, and that it was null and void." Sources close to Dre contest Nicole's version of events, telling TMZ that Nicole used her own lawyer to review the prenup and chose to sign of her own volition. Those same insiders claim Dre wasn't ashamed of the prenup and never tore it up or said it was invalid. Nicole claims her ex is worth a cool billion — $200 million more than previously reported.

Even during the weirdest year for humanity I want a million billion more with you," the actress captioned a slideshow of photos of herself and her beau. A year prior to that, I'd been famous, been wealthy, been married, been divorced, been less-than-wealthy, been single… and I was in Israel, on a trip with an organized group, when it hit me: I was done being single. I wanted a real relationship. A soul mate. Someone with whom I could build a family. I was mid-revelation, rattling all this off to a friend of mine when a voice interrupted us, wanting to ask him a question. I was annoyed. Who the hell was stepping all over my moment? I turned around… it was @vanderkimberly. Three days later, I asked her what she was looking for in a relationship. Her answer: 'I'm not looking for a relationship.' Six months later we were living together. Two weeks after that we were pregnant, and almost exactly one year to the date after she'd first interrupted me (on the spot where we're standing in the last pic)… we were married," he captioned a slideshow of photos. "This marriage has demanded I be more present, more honest, more authentic, more open, more patient, more passionate, daring, capable, fun, and vulnerable than I've ever been. And I'm still earning her. We've been through joy and pain and everything in between, and even at the height of our most impassioned arguments… she's who I want by my side. Kimberly, you astound me. Your bravery, your tenderness, and your unwillingness to settle for anything less than what can and ought to be…. You're the best human I know. I love you, and I look forward to earning your partnership for years to come. (And also that huge party/vow renewal in the woods I've been promising you for ten years – once we're out of pandemic protocol) Happy anniversary babe." Kimberly, meanwhile, captioned a sweet snap with her hubby, "Life with you has been a beautiful and adventurous tale of love, strength, vulnerability and magic. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world. Happy anniversary."

"We started (dare I say THIS JOURNEY?!?) two years ago, and things have just gotten better since. Thank you for being an incredible partner who only ever enriches my life with support, perspective and joy. I love you, Chris Harrison. Happy Anniversary," the "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent captioned a sweet shot with her beau. A few days earlier, she gushed over Chris — who's away from home shooting season 16 of "The Bachelorette" — in honor of his 49th birthday, "I love you and miss you. You're off working on some incredible television show right now (I can't remember the name,) so we're not together, but we hadn't been apart for about four months, and I've never done that with anyone in my life. All it did was make me love you more and cherish every moment with you. So, I love you, I miss you — and I love that I miss you. Thank you for being the amazing man you are. Happy Birthday," she captioned a selfie.
