Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late July 2020, starting with this sad drama… On July 25, Kanye West took to Twitter to apologize for previously tweeting that he's "been trying to get divorced" from his wife of six years, Kim Kardashian West, for more than a year, and presumably for revealing during his first presidential campaign rally that they initially planned to abort 7-year-old daughter North. "I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me," he wrote. The following day, People magazine reported that, according to a source, the "Stronger" chart-topper has "regrets about sharing such private details" about his marriage, "definitely understands that he upset Kim" and "feels very bad about it." Added the insider, "It's obvious that he still loves Kim." Then on July 27, the reality star was snapped tearfully reuniting with her husband in Wyoming. (See photos here.) Multiple media outlets reported that the mother of four traveled from Los Angeles to Kanye's ranch in Wyoming — where, according to an Us Weekly source, the rapper has been living full-time "for the last year" — to implore him to get help amid the current setback in his mental health. The Us Weekly insider went on to explain that the power couple has been living separate lives for a while now: "Kim goes [to Wyoming] about once every five weeks and brings the kids. When together, things are fine between them, but they haven't been spending time together because he moved his life completely to Wyoming and that's not where their life is, their family is, their kids are in school or the larger family is," said the source. According to a second Us Weekly source, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been considering ending their marriage for "the last three months or so." The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star "is not leaving the relationship because of this current situation" with her husband's mental health, added the source. "Kim has wanted to make this marriage work and so has Kanye. They both still love each other and there is still some interest in making this marriage work but in recent months it has looked way less likely," continued the insider, noting that there will be "no conversation about divorce" until Kanye is "in a better mental space." The insider also said that there'd been "little to no contact between Kim and Kanye" before their emotional July 27 reunion. On July 29, another Us Weekly source said that "Kanye told Kim he is planning on staying in Wyoming," and it's unclear how long he intends to continue living there. "Kim believes any path forward is tenuous at best," said the insider. "They are just on completely different trajectories with Kanye even refusing to acknowledge that he needs to seek help. Kim is tired and extremely sad about the entire situation." Yet another source said that divorce isn't necessarily "inevitable," though. "There is a desire to make it work. She wouldn't have flown to Wyoming if she wasn't invested," said the source. Meanwhile, a People magazine source said that Kim "feels trapped" in her marriage. "She loves Kanye and she thinks of him as the love of her life. But she doesn't know what to do," said the source. "Kim was thinking that they need to be apart. She knows that it's not healthy for her to be around him now, and it's honestly not healthy for [their four] kids. He needs to get his stuff together before he can be any sort of partner or father." The insider added that ultimately, "Kim wants the best for Kanye. And she will always want what's best for him."

Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young took to Instagram on July 26 to announce that they got engaged while celebrating their first anniversary on Catalina Island off the coast of Southern California. "She said yes! #FlippingHerLastName," the "Flip or Flop" star captioned a photo of himself slipping an engagement ring on the blonde beauty's finger. "The Future Mrs. Tarek El Moussa!!!!" the "Selling Sunset" star captioned the same shot. "My best friend in the entire world," her future hubby wrote in the comments section.

Julianne Hough and her estranged husband, Brooks Laich, again fueled reconciliation rumors when he was seen in social media posts from her 32nd birthday party on July 25. The dancer-actress, however, seemingly dispelled the rumors about the nature of their relationship when she captioned a July 22 video of herself playing in the pool with a hashtag reading "single as a pringle." On July 23, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, the former couple hadn't been "speaking much directly to one another" amid their recent breakup.
On July 29, Tracy Morgan released a statement announcing that he and Megan Wollover are calling it quits. "Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce. This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy," said the "Saturday Night Live" alum. Megan's rep, meanwhile, released a statement announcing that she filed for divorce the previous day. "This is a private matter for the family. Megan's primary focus remains the best interest of the parties' daughter. She asks that the family's privacy be respected during this difficult time," her spokesperson added, according to People magazine. The duo share 7-year-old daughter Maven Sonae.
On July 27, Tom Holland made his rumored romance with Nadia Parkes Instagram official … kinda! The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" star shared a caption-free photo of the actress, who appeared on "The Spanish Princess" in 2019. In late May, MailOnline first reported that the pair were "in an official relationship and living together."
During a July 23 interview with Us Weekly, Brandi Glanville insisted she's "not lying" about her romantic history with Denise Richards. She also said she was "just kind of in shock" when the "Starship Troopers" actress asked her not to say anything about the hookup to her husband, Aaron Phypers. "She continued to be really nice to me. And she would text me to check in but she was just very unavailable, she definitely hit it and quit it. … We texted but it was always like, 'Hey, I'm really busy,' too cool for school," said Brandi of how her relationship with Denise changed after, adding that she didn't come clean about their past sooner because she was "worried" that the tryst made her "a cheater." As for her comments about wanting to be in "a throuple" with Denise and Aaron, Brandi claims the couple talked to her before about "finding girls" to welcome into their bed. Brandi went on to say that she "wasn't really into it" when she and Denise got intimate because they "had both had a lot to drink." Conclude Brandi of Denise, "She's a beautiful girl and that's all I want to say." Meanwhile, during an interview with The Washington Post that hit the Internet on July 23, Denise insisted that she "did not have an affair" and that if she "had an open marriage," she "would be open about it." As for Aaron, "He's my best friend. He's my lover. He's my confidant," she said. "I feel that we bring out the best in each other. We are definitely both very strong personalities, so, obviously we'll have moments, but we respect each other's opinions."
Us Weekly reported on July 23 that, according to a source, Scott Disick has "been trying to be on his best behavior for" Sofia Richie now that they "are back together." Added the source, "He is focusing on trying to prove himself to Sofia."

Meek Mill took to Twitter on July 26 to announce that he and girlfriend Milan Harris — with whom he welcomed a son in May — are calling it quits. "Me and Milano decided to remain friends and build our child as separate parents … we still have mad love for each other but we both came to an understanding!" he wrote in a since-deleted Tweet.
During a July 28 interview with Page Six, Dina Lohan and her off-and-on online-only love, Jesse Nadler, hinted that they're still together. While discussing her fitness goals and "dream" of appearing on "Dancing With the Stars," Lindsay Lohan's momager described her beau as "the driving force to seriously get in shape." Jesse, who said in mid-July that he didn't think a future together was "in the cards," added that he "talked Dina into a strict health" regimen. "It was the only way I would give her a chance with me," he said. According to Page Six, the duo "changed their tune" about calling it quits.
On July 27 — two days after they posed together at a controversial event in The Hamptons — Chantel Jeffries took to Instagram to confirm recent rumors that she's dating The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart, with whom she was first seen in late January. The model-DJ shared two photos of herself cuddled up to the "Closer" chart-topper, including a shot of them sharing a smooch, which she captioned with a simple heart emoji. Earlier this year, Chantel was snapped packing on the PDA with Diplo. Last summer, she stepped out several times with Machine Gun Kelly, prompting romance rumors. Before that, she dated Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Wilmer Valderrama.
Tove Lo took to her Instagram Story on July 25 to reveal that she and Charlie Twaddle recently tied the knot. "Oops!" she captioned a selfie with her new husband. Two days later, she shared several more photos from their nuptials. "WHAT!? I'm a wifey!!! I never thought I would get married but then I met you Charlie. Thank you for making me the happiest I've ever been. You're my person," she captioned a photo slideshow.
On July 26, Lala Kent sparked speculation that she and her fiancé, producer Randall Emmett, had called it quits when she mysteriously deleted photos of him from her Instagram. The following day, she clarified that they "didn't break up." Explained the "Vanderpump Rules" star, "I'm petty- so when he [makes me mad], his photos go to the archive … Then I re-add them. I mean, I have this dude's name tattooed on my arm. He's stuck with me." Added Lala, who also removed photos of Randall in early 2019, "It won't be the last time I archive pictures of Rand when he makes me mad. I'm petty AF. It will happen again and again until I grow out of it. And if it's the most petty thing I do, I'm okay with it." She also claimed that she and the film producer "have never followed each other" on Instagram. "In fact we have had each other blocked since we got together," she concluded.
"Normal People" star Paul Mescal sparked rumors that he's dating Phoebe Bridgers when they stepped out for breakfast together at an Irish cafe on July 23. During a May interview with NME magazine, the "Garden Song" singer described the Irish actor as a "cute boy" and said she "got a little pitter-patter in my heart" when she watched his hit Hulu series. Later that month, she interviewed him on Instagram Live for Wonderland magazine.
Kathryn Dennis has a new man: Chleb Ravenell. The 32-year-old former college football player, who now works as a product specialist for Apple, could be seen packing on the PDA with the "Southern Charm" star in a group photo shared by his brother's girlfriend on Instagram on July 26. Two days later, People magazine reported that, according to a source, the mother of two and her new beau have been "dating a few months now" and "have good chemistry together." The insider added that Chleb has met Kathryn's children and "is good with them."
In late July, "Empire" and "Shameless" actor Chet Hanks and "Black Ink Crew" star Sky Days sparked rumors they're dating when they took to their Instagram Stories to share videos of themselves dancing while sitting together in the backseat of a car. "Hef would approve of her romance," said a source. "Since his death she has been mourning and soul searching and traveling the world. It's been hard for her to find someone who measures up to the legend of Hugh Hefner, and this guy seems to be it. … He's an amazing guy and all her friends adore him." Also on July 23, Crystal and Nathan made their relationship Instagram official: "You feel like home," the blonde beauty captioned two sweet shots with her beau.
Prince Harry's former love, "Tulip Fever" actress Cressida Bonas (right), and estate agent Harry Wentworth-Stanley (left) tied the knot in front of 30 guests at Cowdray Park — a country house at Cowdray Estate in Midhurst, West Sussex — over the weekend of July 25, MailOnline reported. The duo announced their engagement in August 2019.
Simone Biles sparked rumors that she's dating Houston Texans safety Jonathan Owens when she took to her Instagram Story on July 22 to share a photo of him giving her a piggyback ride in honor of his 25th birthday. (See it here.) "Happy 25th birthday. Hope this year brings you everything you want & more," the Olypian wrote below the sweet shot. Less than a week later, she shared her appreciation for the football star on her Instagram Story, adding a heart-eye emoji, a praise emoji and a tongue-sticking-out emoji to a video of him hanging out in her kitchen.
Jacqueline Laurita's daughter, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" alum Ashlee Holmes, and her husband of two years, Pete Malleo, are calling it quits, they announced on Instagram on July 22. "Pete and I have decided to separate," she wrote in part. "[We] have been through so much together over the last ten years of our lives as not only best friends, but partners in navigating parenthood. This was a difficult decision for us. We intend to always be in each other's lives, and continue to support one another as we grow as individuals. We will continue being loving dedicated parents to our son Cameron, who we both love more than anything. Our new goal in our journey through life together is to become the best co-parents that we are capable of being." Ashlee and Pete welcomed their son in 2016 and tied the knot in 2018.
On July 24, "Siesta Key" star Juliette Porter's boyfriend, Sam Logan, sparked rumors that they'd gotten engaged when he took to Instagram to share a photo of them kissing in Aspen, which he captioned, "My fiancé." The post prompted congratulatory messages from several of his followers, but according to an Us Weekly source, the duo are not engaged. Sam said as much when he later updated the caption to read, "Sorry about the other caption I didn't make it."
On July 22, Bachelor Nation couple Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch announced on Instagram that they've pushed their wedding date amid the coronavirus pandemic. "We've decided to postpone to November 2021 & weirdly enough we're actually okay with it. Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram on July 26 to gush over fiancé Alex Rodriguez on his 45th birthday. "You are on TV right now and I'm sitting here in the studio watching you and thinking about how I only want to be right here with you… laughing and joking and enjoying life together… whatever that is, wherever that is…doesn't matter. During an interview with Page Six that hit the Internet on July 23, Meghan King's boyfriend of a few months, Christian Schauf, said that when they first met on a dating app, he'd "never seen any 'Real Housewives' shows" before. After they connected and he looked up her Instagram, he was shocked to see that she had "a million followers." That prompted him to ask a mutual friend, trainer Nancy Anderson, about the reality star. "She was like, 'Oh she's great. I trained her. You guys would be great together,'" he recalled, adding that some of his other female friends (pals who've watched "The Real Housewives of Orange County" and keep up with the tabloids) questioned his decision to pursue Meghan. "I just made a conscious decision that I'm not going to dig in too far," he said. "I just want to meet the person for who they are and take them at face value. Like, it's really admirable. I really like that about her." He went on to say that he and Meghan have discussed marriage but are taking their relationship "day by day" for now. "We don't need to think about something two years down the road," he said. "I try to not worry too much about things that are 10 steps down the road, when I have a bunch of other stuff in front of it. … I'm a dude that's been pretty career-focused and has been trying to meet the right person. Meghan and I have a connection. Beyond the fact that she has a big audience from being on a TV show, I'm just a dude trying to live his life in a positive way and have a family."
