Join Wonderwall.com as we take a look back at some of Hollywood's most notable cheating scandals, starting with this debacle… "The Affair" actor Dominic West's behavior raised eyebrows after he was photographed spending time with his "The Pursuit of Love" co-star Lily James in Rome on Oct. 11. Hours after MailOnline published photos showing the married actor caressing Lily, kissing her neck, putting his ring-less hand on her bottom and sharing a scooter with the single actress, who's nearly 20 years his junior, the same outlet quoted a friend of his wife, Irish landscape designer and aristocrat Catherine FitzGerald, as saying Catherine had seen the images and was "devastated" and "heartbroken" as she believed "they had a good marriage." An insider further told E! News that Dominic and Lily spent the rest of the evening in a suite at Rome's Hotel de la Ville, and and an eyewitness who saw them flying back to London after their two-day getaway told The Sun the co-stars were "kissing and cuddling" on the British Airways plane. However, on the morning of Oct. 13, Dominic and his wife stepped outside their family home in England together and kissed for photographers, clearly putting on a united front, as seen in photos published by MailOnline. They also left a handwritten note for the media acknowledging the scandal that read, "Our marriage is strong and we're very much still together." In September 2012, Jason Aldean was photographed kissing "American Idol" alum Brittany Kerr at a bar in Hollywood. He and his then-wife of more than a decade, Jessica Ussery, tried to make their marriage work for seven months after the photos hit the Internet, but ultimately, they threw in the towel in April 2013. Less than two years later — in March 2015 — the country music star married Brittany, with whom he now shares two children.

This super-messy breakup involving former Hollywood sweethearts Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake has gone down in music history. In 2002, the It couple called it quits after four years together when Justin reportedly found a note in Britney's room that revealed she was cheating on him with choreographer Wade Robson. Later that year, Justin famously released "Cry Me a River" — a track he reportedly wrote just two hours after he and Britney split. "I've been scorned. … The feelings I had were so strong I had to write it," he recalled in his 2018 autobiography "Hindsight." The music video for the song was released in April 2003 and depicted Justin cheating on a Britney look-alike in her own home. Years after their split, Justin made his disdain for his ex abundantly clear — in the past, the "What Goes Around" singer (another song reportedly inspired by Brit) has made crass comments about their sex life and taken digs at her film career.
This is probably not what Justin Timberlake meant when he released "What Goes Around" — his second hit single about cheating… In late November 2019, the singer-actor was accused of cheating on his wife, Jessica Biel, after he was caught on camera appearing overly touchy-feely with "Raising Dion" star Alisha Wainwright — who's playing his love interest in the upcoming sports drama "Palmer" — during a night out in New Orleans. After the photos of the co-stars holding hands hit the Internet, sources close to the superstar insisted that his relationship with the former "Shadowhunters" actress was "completely innocent" and that "nothing romantic" was going on between them. Justin later released a statement admitting that he "drank way too much" and "displayed a strong lapse in judgment" — but he maintained that "nothing happened" with Alisha. He also apologized to Jessica, who reportedly believes he didn't cheat on her and is "standing by" him in spite of feeling embarrassed by the whole ordeal. Sadly, it wasn't the first time JT made headlines for getting cozy with a colleague: He raised eyebrows back in 2014 when he was seen dancing — "in a way that no married man should ever dance with someone who is not his wife," one eyewitness told Star magazine — with a female backup dancer from his "20/20" tour at a nightclub in Paris.
In October 2017, Ewan McGregor was photographed kissing his "Fargo" co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead at a London cafe. People magazine then reported that he had quietly separated from his wife of 22 years, Eve Mavrakis — the mother of his four children — the previous May. That's the same month Mary announced on Instagram that she and husband Riley Stearns had broken up. Speculation ensued. According to a November 2017 report in the Sun, the actor admitted to Eve, a Greek-French production designer, in May that he was in love with his co-star "but insisted nothing had happened," the newspaper reported. In the same report, a source said that "Eve is sure Ewan and Mary were together before he confessed his feelings for her. It is hard for her to believe him." Ewan filed for divorce in January 2018, the same month he made headlines when he awkwardly thanked both Eve and Mary Elizabeth in his speech after he won a Golden Globe for his work in "Fargo."
"The Blind Side" turned out to be more than just a movie when, just days after its star, Sandra Bullock, took home an Oscar for her work in the film in 2010, tattoo model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee went public with the news that she'd had an affair with Sandy's husband, Jesse James, who eventually copped to his infidelity. Sandra divorced Jesse that same year.
In her September 2020 memoir "The Meaning of Mariah Carey," the superstar singer admitted that she cheated on her first husband, music executive Tommy Mottola, with Derek Jeter after meeting the baseball star at a dinner party in 1997. Mariah felt trapped in her marriage with much older Tommy, whom she's long claimed was controlling, and bonded with Derek over their shared experience of being biracial. They soon started talking in secret, which led to "a warm, slow, intoxicating kiss" on the baseball star's roof, she wrote, according to Cosmopolitan. Mariah said they didn't go any further at the time because she was still married and "neither of us had wanted to cheapen our romance by cheating on my marriage." However, once technically single, she flew to Tampa to hook up with the New York Yankees athlete. "Everything was so new and sweet, down to the smooth texture of his honey-dipped skin. It was how it was supposed to feel," Mariah wrote, admitting that Derek was only the second man she'd ever slept with.
Shania Twain was blindsided when her husband of 15 years, Mutt Lange, revealed he not only wanted a divorce but had also been carrying on an affair with her married best friend, Marie-Ann Thiebaud. The couple separated in 2008 and finalized their divorced in 2010. The country singer was devastated but soon found solace in the arms of Frédéric Thiébaud — Marie-Ann's ex-husband! Shania and Frédéric married in 2011 and have been blissfully happy ever since. Can't make this stuff up, folks.
What's one tabloid topic that David Letterman was less than enthusiastic about discussing on his former late night show? His own affair with "Late Night" staffer Stephanie Birkitt, which went down amidst his long-term relationship with Regina Lasko, the mother of his son. (They wed in 2009 after 23 years as a couple.) The affair came to light when Joe Halderman, a CBS producer who was dating the comedian's mistress, threatened to reveal the affair if the funnyman didn't pay him $2 million. The producer was arrested and served a six-month prison term on larceny charges, and David famously apologized to Regina on-air.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner created a media frenzy when they announced plans to divorce in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage. Shortly after confirming their separation, reports surfaced claiming that Ben cheated on Jen with their children's nanny. Jen addressed the claims in an interview with Vanity Fair, saying that the alleged affair had "nothing to do with our decision to divorce." Then in July 2017 when Ben went public with girlfriend Lindsay Shookus a few months after he and Jen finally started the process of legally ending their marriage, multiple outlets reported that he and the "Saturday Night Live" producer had actually started their romance years earlier — back when both were married to other people. Ben and Lindsay split in the summer of 2018, spent time together again in early 2019 then finally parted ways for good.
After years of speculation about infidelity in JAY-Z and Beyonce's marriage — much of it fueled by Beyonce herself on her 2016 "Lemonade" album — Jay apologized on his 2017 album "4:44." In the months that followed, Jay confirmed he was guilty of "infidelity" in a New York Times interview and went on to explain why and how they saved their marriage. In a January 2018 interview on CNN's the "Van Jones" Show," he said, "That's my soulmate. It's the person I love… We chose to fight for our love, for our family to give our kids a different outcome — to break that cycle for black men and women." In an interview with David Letterman — who's also confessed to cheating on his wife — for the comedian's Netflix show, "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction," Jay said he and Bey made it through thanks to therapy. "Much like you, I have a beautiful wife who was understanding and who knew that I'm not the worst of what I've done and who did the hard work of going to therapy and really, we love each other," Jay said. "We really put in the work."
In April 2019, talk show host Wendy Williams filed to divorce her husband of more than two decades, Kevin Hunter Sr. Kevin had previously been accused of cheating on his wife with a massage therapist for years, but after news broke claiming the woman, Sharina Hudson, had given birth to Kevin's baby in March, Wendy had enough. "Look, my husband had a full baby with a woman he was involved with for 15 years," Wendy told TMZ. She later said on "The View" that the baby was the last straw but that she was trying to move forward. "Infidelity is one thing, a full baby is a whole 'nother topic," Wendy said. "A baby. I'm not changing Pampers, I wanna be pampered! I learned from my mother how to make lemons into lemonade … what am I supposed to do, stay in the house and cry all day?" For his part, Kevin — who was soon let go from his job as executive producer of Wendy's eponymous daytime show — apologized to Wendy after she left him. "I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans," Kevin said. "I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs."
Though the 2005 biopic "Walk the Line" blurred the lines between Johnny Cash's real life and the Hollywood version of it, the fact remains that when he met the love of his life, June Carter, they were both married to other people. While June shortly thereafter divorced her first husband, country singer Carl Smith, Johnny remained married to his first wife, Vivian, for years before finally divorcing her in 1966. June wrote the ode to her relationship with Johnny, "Ring of Fire," in 1963 and married him in 1968.
On an early 2020 episode of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," which was shot in late 2019, Teresa Giudice admitted that she now believes Joe Giudice cheated on her early in their marriage. She even revealed that she once caught him using a secret second cell phone to communicate with another woman: "Listen, he had a separate cell phone with one girl," she told a group of friends. "I found it! It was his ex-girlfriend's sister. He said she was going through her divorce. He was helping her trying to sell her house." She went on to explain why she was in denial about his behavior even though "there were rumors out there" at the time: "Like, I quit my job. Gia was 3. What was I gonna do? … I should have left then, right? I didn't because he denied it to me. I believed him. … Sometimes you're blind." To make things clear, her brother, Joe Gorga, asked, "Today, do you believe he cheated on you?" Replied the mother of four, "Yeah, now I do." She later added during a confessional, "It took a long time and it still is really hard for me to admit, but I owe it to myself to open my eyes to it." She also acknowledged that she has "a lot of resentment" toward Joe because she "was like the perfect, perfect f****** wife." Their divorce was finalized in early September 2020.
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's romance got off to an inauspicious start when they cheated on their spouses with each other before tying the knot (more on that later). Dean, however, didn't learn from his past and in 2013, a woman named Emily Goodhand revealed she'd had a sexual encounter with the reality star, who later admitted to cheating on wife Tori. "I'm like, 'No, I'm not a monster, I'm a human being and I messed up.' I'm owning up to it and I'm getting help," he said. "But to label me a monster or evil is very hurtful. The affair was more about how I was feeling about myself than having an affair." Tori forgave him and they're still married to this day, though fresh reports of trouble in their marriage emerged in early 2018.
Tori Spelling began her relationship with now-husband Dean McDermott in a pretty scandalous way. The couple hooked up while filming the 2005 TV movie "Mind Over Murder" despite the fact that they both were married at the time — he to Mary Jo Eustace, she to Charlie Shanian. They quickly divorced their former partners and exchanged vows with one another.
Brad Pitt maintained for years that he did not cheat on first wife Jennifer Aniston with second wife Angelina Jolie. But in 2008, he admitted to Rolling Stone that he "fell in love" with Angie while they were filming "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" together in 2004 — when he was still married to Jen. That same year, Angelina admitted the same thing, telling The New York Times she couldn't wait for their kids to see "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" someday because "not a lot of people get to see a movie where their parents fell in love." Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016.
In October 2019, Jim Edmonds filed to divorce "The Real Housewives of Orange County" alum Meghan King Edmonds after five years of marriage. Their split came in the wake of two different cheating scandals. First, the former professional baseball player made headlines in July 2019 when a website published intimate text conversations he had with a woman known as the "Baseball Madame." He admitted to Us Weekly that he "had a lapse in judgment" and had an "inappropriate conversation" with the woman — but insisted there was never a physical relationship, which is also what he told his wife. Meghan took to her blog to share what happened, writing in part that she'd called her husband "and he confessed to me that he had exchanged lewd photos with this woman over the course of several months and a physical relationship never existed. He paid her off to protect me so I'd never find out." But the info still came to light, and Meghan's trust was destroyed. Though they tried to work on their marriage in the months that followed, the damage had been done. Days before Jim's divorce filing, Meghan accused him of having an affair — this time with one of their four nannies — which he also denied.
"What the hell were you thinking?" That was the question Jay Leno famously asked Hugh Grant after the A-list actor was arrested for hiring a prostitute … while in the midst of a long-term relationship with Elizabeth Hurley. Hugh's "transaction" with the infamous Divine Brown went down in 1995, and while he subsequently had to pay a fine and participate in a court-mandated AIDS-education program, Liz stood by his side until 2000. Remarkably, they're still close friends even today!
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's relationship exploded in 2011 after he was accused of cheating on his wife with a woman named Sara Leal — who, it turns out, was Scott Eastwood's girlfriend at the time. "It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton," Moore said in a statement a few months after the scandal broke. "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life." Ashton filed for divorce the following year. In 2019, Demi revealed in her memoir "Inside Out" that Ashton had indeed stepped out on her at least twice. She said they'd previously had threesomes — "I wanted to show him how great and fun I could be," she explained, after "he expressed his fantasy of bringing a third person into our bed." However, "because we had brought in a third party into our relationship, Ashton said, that blurred the lines and, to some extent, justified what he's done," she wrote.
It took 14 years for the news to come out: Back in 1997, Mildred "Patty" Baena — the Schwarzenegger family maid — gave birth to Arnold Schwarzenegger's child, Joseph Baena, just days after the actor's wife, Maria Shriver, gave birth to their son Christopher. Arnold's alleged womanizing — with other ladies — had previously made headlines while he was running for California governor in 2003. Maria filed for divorce in the summer of 2011 after discovering Arnold's betrayal. It's unlikely, however, that they'll ever finalize their divorce.
Donald Trump and Ivana Trump's marriage of 13 years came to an end in 1991 when he was caught cheating with Marla Maples (pictured). He made headlines again after news of Ivana's settlement broke: She reportedly walked away from the marriage with $10 million, a $12 million mansion and custody of their three kids. Donald kept Marla… for another seven years.
Nearly three decades after he split from Ivana Trump amid a cheating scandal with Marla Maples, Donald Trump made headlines again when he was accused of cheating on third wife Melania Trump with adult film actress Stormy Daniels. In March 2018, Stormy confirmed the story — which Trump and his lawyers have denied — on "60 Minutes," alleging they had sex in his hotel suite in 2006 after meeting at a celebrity golf tournament. A political scandal also erupted after it was revealed that the president's personal lawyer paid Stormy $130,000 just days before the 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about her claims. In 2018, she sued to be released from her non-disclosure agreement, which her lawyer argued was invalid because Donald never signed it. In 2018, former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal claimed in an interview with The New Yorker that she had a nine-month affair with Donald in 2006 and 2007. He's denied that one too.
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman." Or so President Bill Clinton claimed. It was eventually revealed that between November 1995 and March 1997, President Clinton and then-intern Monica Lewinsky had nine sexual encounters. Hillary Clinton famously stood by her man despite the sordid revelations.
Like his father, Donald Trump Jr. found himself at the center of a cheating scandal in 2018. Days after his wife of 12 years, Vanessa, filed for divorce, multiple outlets including Perez Hilton, Page Six, People magazine and Us Weekly reported that Don Jr. had an affair with former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day in late 2011 and early 2012 after they got close while filming "The Celebrity Apprentice." People magazine reported that the alleged affair ended after Vanessa, who was reportedly pregnant with one of their five children around the time, discovered sexy text messages from Aubrey on her husband's phone. "I think his marriage to Vanessa was over long before Aubrey came along," a source told Page Six, adding that Don Jr.'s family "pressured" him into staying in the marriage. In fact, one source said President Trump told his son to "knock it off." Aubrey went on to record two songs believed to be about the alleged affair, one titled "DJT." (Don Jr.'s middle name is John.)
In early 2018, an Italian newspaper revealed that during a 2015 break from their marriage, Colin Firth's then-wife of more than two decades, Livia Giuggioli, had a yearlong relationship with Italian journalist Marco Brancaccia, whom she accused of stalking her after she called off the romance to reunite with her husband. Marco then sued Livia for falsely accusing him of a crime, insisting that she made up the stalking claims as a cover for their affair. Ultimately, Colin and Livia's reconciliation proved to be short-lived: They called it quits in late 2019.
Meg Ryan seemed to be happily married to Dennis Quaid when she met Russell Crowe (seen here) while filming 2000's "Proof of Life." They made headlines after starting a steamy affair, and Meg and Dennis split after nearly 10 years of marriage. Years later, Meg alleged that Dennis had cheated long before she did.
While Khloe Kardashian was married to NBA player Lamar Odom, reports emerged claiming he'd been unfaithful to her multiple times. Khloe finally filed for divorce in late 2013. Six year later, in his 2019 memoir "Darkness to Light," Lamar finally admitted that cheating was a "regular part" of his relationship with the reality TV star. "I had broken my vows with Khloe so many times it's just impossible for me to remember them all," he wrote. "I don't know why Khloe stayed with me." Lamar — who was also battling addiction issues as he continued to cheat on his wife — later told "Extra" he was filled with regret: "I wish I would have treated her the right way," he said.
It happened again. NBA player Lamar Odom cheated on Khloe Kardashian during their marriage, so she divorced him. In April 2018, another NBA star — her boyfriend of a year and a half, Tristan Thompson — found himself at the center of a cheating scandal just two days before Khloe gave birth to their daughter, True. On April 10, videos emerged showing Tristan cozying up to several women. The first was reportedly shot just days earlier on April 7: In a clip obtained by DailyMail.com, the Cleveland Cavaliers player appeared to kiss a woman at PH-D Lounge in New York City. Photos also emerged of the same woman returning with Tristan to his hotel then leaving hours later with an overnight bag. In a second clip posted by TMZ, Tristan could be seen kissing and being intimately touched by women at a hookah lounge near Washington, D.C., on Oct. 7, 2017, around the time Khloe would have been three-months pregnant. The day after the initial allegations of infidelity surfaced, TMZ reported that a Brooklyn woman who claimed she was with Tristan in NYC posted and then deleted a few seconds of a sex tape said to feature him. She also shared raunchy text messages purportedly from the NBA star. Within a week, five alleged mistresses had been named in the media. But the cheating drama wasn't over yet…
Nearly a year later, Tristan Thompson cheated… AGAIN. Hollywood Unlocked was the first to report that on Feb. 17, 2019, the NBA star was seen at a Los Angeles house party hooking up with model Jordyn Woods — the longtime best friend of Khloe Kardashian's little sister Kylie Jenner. TMZ further reported on Feb. 19 that the athlete and Jordyn "were all over each other" and "making out," which finally led Khloe to dump Tristan, who tweeted then deleted the words "FAKE NEWS" after the report emerged. But stories from multiple outlets that followed made it clear the news was anything but fake. On March 1, Jordyn appeared on "Red Table Talk" where she admitted that she and Tristan kissed on the lips but insisted they did not make out and there was "no passion." She implied that Tristan initiated the kiss and said she was "no homewrecker." She also said, "I know I'm not the reason Khloe and Tristan broke up." Well, Khloe didn't see it the same way, tweeting the same day, "Why are you lying @jordynwoods?? If you're going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!"
If you watched "Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee" in the '90s, then you'd think from Kathie Lee Gifford's tales that she and husband Frank Gifford had a perfect marriage. Not so! In 1997, Frank had a weekend fling with a stewardess named Suzen Johnson after meeting her on a flight a few months prior. Unbeknownst to Frank, Suzen had sold the story to The Globe, so the tabloid was documenting the romp. The Giffords weathered the media storm and were married until Frank's death in 2015.
In August 2015 — just months after it was revealed that he'd molested five young girls, including four of his sisters, when he was a teen — former "19 Kids and Counting" star Josh Duggar confessed that he'd been unfaithful to his wife, Anna, and was addicted to pornography. "I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him," Josh said at the time, calling himself "the biggest hypocrite ever." His admission came after cheating website AshleyMadison.com was hacked, revealing Josh was a client. He spent more than six months in faith-based rehab. Anna took him back and they welcomed their fifth child in 2017. Their sixth child arrived in late 2019.
Tiger Woods was the poster child for perfection until a story broke in December 2009 alleging that he was having an affair with socialite Rachel Uchitel. One by one, multiple women came forward to reveal that they, too, had slept with the golf legend. Tiger's then-wife, Elin Nordegren, soon filed for divorce.
Before she was caught traipsing around Europe with another woman's husband, Sienna Miller was the one being cheated on. In 2005, her then-fiancée, Jude Law, had an affair with his children's nanny, Daisy Wright, prompting Sienna to call off the engagement. They later reconciled only to call it quits for good in 2011.
In early 2019, Kylie Jenner's relationship with Travis Scott hit a major speed bump when she reportedly accused him of cheating after discovering inappropriate DMs with other women on his phone. (He "strongly denied" any infidelity.) Though the duo briefly worked through their differences, they ultimately called it quits in the fall amid her ongoing trust issues and their inability to reconcile their different lifestyles.
Laura Dern and Billy Bob Thornton were still engaged in 1999 when he suddenly married Angelina Jolie without first telling his then-fiancée that he'd fallen for someone else. The "Marriage Story" actress discussed the brutal situation with Talk magazine in 2000. "I left our home to work on a movie, and while I was away, my boyfriend got married, and I've never heard from him again," she recalled. "It's like a sudden death. For no one has there been any closure or clarity."
In November 2018, DailyMail.com reported that actor Stephen Baldwin — the father of model Hailey Baldwin and father-in-law of Justin Bieber — had been cheating on his Brazilian graphic designer wife of 28 years, Kennya, with a Venezuelan masseuse. The outlet reported that the "The Usual Suspects" star met Ruth Perez Anselmi in 2016 at a physical therapy school where she was studying massage. He returned for another massage and as she continued to massage him during his business trips to Los Angeles, their relationship allegedly turned sexual. A friend told DailyMail.com that Ruth had no idea who Stephen was at first or that he was married and was upset to learn the truth in 2018. The British outlet witnessed the actor visiting and leaving Ruth's Los Angeles apartment in October 2018 and photographed them being affectionate with one another; it also obtained texts they exchanged earlier in the year. But when approached by a reporter about an alleged affair, Stephen responded, "You're out of your mind brother, brother. God bless you."
Miranda Lambert found herself at the center of a cheating scandal in April 2018 when both Us Weekly and In Touch reported that she was dating the singer in one of her opening acts — Turnpike Troubadours frontman Evan Felker. The problem? Their romance allegedly started when he was married and she was possibly still with now-ex Anderson East. "They are very much involved," a source told Us of Miranda and Evan. A second source added that the two "started spending a lot more time together while on the road" and that things just "happened" between them. Meanwhile, an insider told In Touch that "Miranda would call Evan at 3 a.m. while he was lying in bed with his wife [Staci]. Staci would always ask why she was calling so late. In the beginning he'd tell Staci, 'This is all for business, babe. This could change our great-grandchildren's lives.' Eventually it got to be an every-night thing." Evan filed for divorce in mid-February after less than two years of marriage. Things got extra complicated on April 25 when Miranda's ex-husband, Blake Shelton — who, along with Miranda, long ago admitted that they fell for one another when he was still married to his first wife in 2005 — posted a cryptic tweet. "Been taking the high road for a long time.. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It's karma!!" he wrote, later re-tweeting a fan message that read "this is what the #TRUTH feels like!!!" (which, of course, is a reference to the name of current girlfriend Gwen Stefani's album that's all about the heartbreak of infidelity). Blake and Miranda have never revealed why they suddenly divorced in July 2015, though at the time it was widely speculated that cheating could have been a factor. Miranda and Evan split in the summer of 2018.
This heartbreaking cheating scandal is one that took the world by storm. While married to Princess Diana, Prince Charles engaged in a long-term affair with former girlfriend Camilla Parker Bowles. He even reportedly gave Camilla a personalized bracelet only two weeks before he married Diana in 1981. In a 1995 interview with Martin Bashir on the BBC's "Panorama," Diana famously said of Charles's infidelity, "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was bit crowded." In 1994, Charles publicly copped to cheating. "Yes," he said when asked if he'd been unfaithful. "Until it became clear that the marriage had irretrievably broken down," he added.
Gwen Stefani and former hubby Gavin Rossdale seemed like a match made in rock-star heaven when they married in September 2002. Things came crashing down, however, when Gavin was accused of having a three-year affair with family nanny Mindy Mann. Gwen, who channeled her heartbreak into a new album, filed for divorce in August 2015 and has since found love with fellow "The Voice" coach Blake Shelton.
When Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson first got together, it seemed like a match made in "Twilight" heaven. But in 2012, K-Stew was photographed making out with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders. The actress ditched her notoriously private ways and issued a public apology following the cheating scandal, saying, "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry." After briefly working it out, the actors split for good in 2013.
Woody Allen's affair with Soon-Yi Previn gained international attention in 1992 — but not just because of his celebrity status or the 34-year age difference between him and his love. No, their hookup made headlines because Woody had been in a long-term relationship with Soon-Yi's adoptive mother, Mia Farrow. Woody married Soon-Yi in December 1997 and they now have two adopted daughters.
David Boreanaz nearly destroyed his marriage when he cheated on his then-pregnant wife, Jaime Bergman, with Rachel Uchitel (who was also Tiger Wood's famed mistress) in 2010. The couple were able to repair their marriage and David later called the affair "a bonding experience, in the long run" that made their partnership stronger.
John Edwards was hot on the presidential campaign trail when he started up an affair with Rielle Hunter in 2006 despite being married to Elizabeth Edwards, who was suffering from cancer. Two years later, news broke revealing the ongoing infidelity, which John initially tried to deny — along with the existence of their illegitimate child. John and Elizabeth finally split, and she died from cancer in late 2010. Although rumors started flying that John planned to marry Rielle, instead, their relationship came to an end.
This cheating scandal went down decades ago, but the drama resurfaced in February 2019 when Lisa Rinna brought it up on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Lisa, who's been married to Harry Hamlin since 1997, told her co-stars that former "Desperate Housewives" actress Nicollette Sheridan — who was married to Harry from 1991 to 1992 — left him after she met Michael Bolton and went home with the music star after one of his Hollywood concerts. Nicollette's response? "FAKE NEWS," she tweeted. "Harry and I ended our marriage nose to nose in Canada… Michael was a long time friend that was invited to our wedding… Happy Harry found happiness with housewife @lisarinna." That set off Harry, who replied, "Re Fake News! What's it called when your wife of one year suddenly goes to bed with a pop singer? …two weeks after your mother dies?? I did a lotta stuff with my wife 'nose to nose' but ending our marriage was not one of them!" Lisa then got involved, tweeting that Nicollette was "the gift that keeps on giving!" Lisa added even more snark on her Instagram Story, "ET Canada" reported, writing, "My bad, I'm sorry, Nicollette. I forgot to thank you also. Thank you for f—ing Michael Bolton and cheating on Harry while married. I thought I'd take the high road and not tweet this… NAH." Nicollette seemingly had the last word, tweeting, "Do you really want the truth shared? I appreciate that you want to support your housewife's FAKE NEWS narrative, but the end of our marriage had nothing to do with anyone other than us. Sad you still can't own your part."
Halsey and G-Eazy are another couple that found themselves embroiled in a cheating scandal. When the "Mania" singer tweeted-then-deleted a scissors emoji in July 2018, fans were quick to speculate that her rapper-boyfriend had cheated on her and that the tweet was in reference to a lyric from their duet "Him & I" (in which Halsey says what she'd do to G-Eazy's most intimate part if he was ever unfaithful). Then, in February 2019 Halsey confirmed G's infidelity during her "Saturday Night Live" performance, when she sang her track "Without Me" in front of a backdrop which read "I'm sorry Ashley [Halsey's real name] I cheated in New Orleans in Minneapolis in Austin at home in Los Angeles more places I can't even remember."
Eva Longoria and basketball star Tony Parker celebrated their love with a fairytale wedding in Paris in 2007, but just three years later, things were over thanks to a cheating scandal that rocked the NBA. The couple called it quits in November 2010 after reports alleged that the French athlete had engaged in an affair with San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry's wife, Erin. Erin publicly denied any infidelity, and TMZ reported that Tony privately admitted to having a "sexting relationship" with Erin though insisted it never turned physical.
In early December 2018, Cardi B left fellow rapper Offset, her husband of barely a year, amid a cheating scandal involving leaked text messages from June 2018 — when Cardi was pregnant with their daughter, Kulture — in which he reportedly tried to get Instagram model Summer Bunni to set up an encounter for them with rapper Cuban Doll. (Summer later told TMZ she felt "ashamed" and that it wasn't her intention to break up a marriage). Though Offset and Cardi had weathered a different cheating scandal earlier in the year, this time, Cardi bolted. Offset tried to win her back and, Cardi later revealed, even tried to get them into therapy. "I decided on my own [to leave him]. Nobody makes my decisions about my life but me. I didn't want to go to marriage counseling," she said in a March 2019 cover story for Harper's Bazaar. "He suggested it, but it's like, 'I don't want to go.' There's no counselor or nothing that could make me change my mind." But less than two months after they broke up, they reconciled after the Migos rapper promised to change his ways. Cardi finally called it quits — this time she actually filed for divorce — in September 2020.
It was a whirlwind 2019 for Porsha Williams and her fiancé, Dennis McKinley: They called it quits over the summer — just a few months after their daughter was born — amid reports that he cheated. At first, they denied the infidelity rumors — and even reconciled. But then, as Porsha revealed on a mid-November episode of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Dennis admitted during a therapy session that he cheated on her while she was pregnant. They spent the rest of the summer and fall working on their relationship. By the holidays, they were officially engaged again.
In September 2019, Kenya Moore and Marc Daly released separate statements announcing that they were calling it quits after two years of marriage and a daughter, Brooklyn, together. In the wake of the breakup news, there were reports that the restaurateur had "multiple affairs," which the star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" denied that October while insisting that she wasn't ready to throw in the towel on the marriage just yet. They're still working on their relationship as of mid-2020.
While LeaAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are blissfully in love now, their relationship hasn't always been smooth sailing. In 2009, after meeting on the set of the Lifetime flick "Northern Lights," the "Can't Fight the Moonlight" singer became involved with the actor, despite both of them being married to other people at the time (LeAnn was married to dancer Dean Sheremet, while Eddie was married to "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Brandi Glanville). LeAnn and Eddie went on to marry in 2010 — the same year the country star publicly said that she didn't regret the affair. "It happens every day to so many people," she told Robin Roberts. "And if I take away my album sales, my words … you have just another couple. You had two couples whose marriages didn't work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love."
In mid-2019, Pamela Anderson accused her off-and-on boyfriend of more than two years, soccer star Adil Rami, of domestic violence and of cheating on her with French model Sidonie Biemont — with whom he shares young twin sons. Later, the French athlete denied the abuse allegations but admitted that he was seeing both women at the same time, writing that he "should have been more transparent in this ambiguous relationship."
It was one of the more sordid scandals in recent memory: In 2014, Hank Baskett admitted he screwed up with his wife, Kendra Wilkinson, but maintained that nothing sexual happened when he went to transgender model Ava London's apartment, despite her claims to the contrary. Kendra — who was pregnant with daughter Alijah Baskett at the time of the alleged affair — later revealed she'd contemplated suicide as she struggled to face the scandal. Though the reality TV couple reconciled, their marriage was ultimately doomed: Kendra filed for divorce in April 2018 and their split was finalized in early 2019.
Who in their right mind would cheat on a gorgeous supermodel?! Peter Cook, that's who! Christie Brinkley's marriage came to a screeching halt in 2007 when it was revealed that her husband was carrying on an affair with office clerk Diana Bianchi, who was 18 at the time. The couple became engaged in a bitter battle over money, as well as custody of their daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook. The divorce was eventually finalized in 2008, and Christie vowed to never remarry.
In September 2017, Kevin Hart took to Instagram to publicly apologize to his then-pregnant wife, Eniko Parrish, for getting caught up in a cheating scandal. The whole drama came to light after someone tried to extort $10 million from the comedian to keep video that allegedly showed him with another woman private. Without confessing completely, Kevin owned up to making a big mistake, saying, "I made a bad error in judgement and put myself in an environment where only bad things can happen, and they did. … At the end of the day, I gotta do better, but I'm also not going to allow a person to have financial gain off of my mistakes, and in this particular situation, that's what was attempted." Singer-actress Montia Sabbag later came forward to deny she had anything to do with the extortion attempt, claiming she was a victim too. She did, however, claim she and Kevin had been "intimate" over several days in Las Vegas. Ultimately, Eniko stood by her husband — they welcomed son Kenzo in November 2017 and announced in March 2020 that they are expecting another baby.
"Today" host Matt Lauer's career came crashing down in November 2017 when he was abruptly fired from NBC for sexual misconduct in the workplace. Though he insisted that not all of the claims were accurate, "there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed," the married father of three said in a statement. "There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and actions," he added. "To the people I have hurt, I am truly sorry. As I am writing this I realize the depth of the damage and disappointment I have left behind at home and at NBC." Reports quickly emerged revealing that Matt's 19-year marriage to Dutch model Annette Roque was in peril because of his behavior, which also reportedly included multiple affairs. A former NBC production assistant spoke to Matt's "Today" colleague Megyn Kelly in December 2017 to detail an inappropriate sexual relationship she said Matt initiated with her in 2000 when she was in her early 20s and he was a newlywed in his 40s. By the spring of 2018, multiple reports had indicated that the disgraced newsman had moved out of the Hamptons home he once shared with Annette and that divorce was on the horizon. Matt and Annette's divorce was finalized in 2019.
Ramona Singer and Mario Singer's marriage came to an end when the reality star found out her husband was secretly seeing Kasey Dexter — who is 30 years his junior — in 2013. The longtime couple called it quits in 2014, and their divorce was finalized in 2016. The "The Real Housewives of New York City" star got the last laugh, however: Mario broke up with his mistress-turned-girlfriend in 2018 when he found out she was cheating on him! How's that for karma?
Nicole Murphy made headlines in July 2019 when she was caught on camera kissing Antoine Fuqua — who's been married to actress Lela Rochon for two decades — at a hotel pool in Italy. On a September 2019 episode of "The Wendy Williams Show," Eddie Murphy's former wife said she regretted smooching the married "Training Day" director. She also apologized to his wife and family. She then claimed that she was under the impression his marriage was over when they kissed and encouraged other women to "do your research" so they don't accidentally end up becoming the other woman.
Drama! Katharine McPhee had everyone talking when she was caught making out with her married "Smash" director, Michael Morris, while still married to first husband Nick Cokas in 2013. Kat and Nick split in 2014, and the singer-actress later said she has no regrets about the affair. "All of the choices I made I learned from in a really deep way," she told Ocean Drive magazine. The former "American Idol" contestant has since moved on — she wed musician David Foster, who's 35 years her senior, in 2019.
In June 2019, La La Anthony and husband Carmelo Anthony, who've been off and on for years, stoked another round of breakup rumors when the actress celebrated her birthday with friends in New York City as the basketball star spent time with swimsuit-clad Swedish-Moroccan model Sara Smiri on a yacht off the coast of France. At the time, Melo denied that he and the beauty — whom he described as a married friend — were having an affair. (There were conflicting reports about whether or not she's actually married.) La La, meanwhile, publicly shrugged off her husband's absence from her birthday festivities, though Page Six reported that she was secretly "a wreck" over her husband's perceived infidelity. As of mid-2020, the duo were still together, though the "Power" star's rep said a year earlier that she was "proceeding with legal discussions as the next step" in their marriage.
In July 2017, Rob Kardashian posted explicit and graphic photos of then-girlfriend Blac Chyna — pictures she personally sent to him via text — on Instagram after he accused her of cheating on him. He didn't stop there, though — he also posted a pic of Chyna with another man along with the caption, "Hahahaha Chyna just sent me this video saying happy 4th of July what a crazy person."
In July 2019, The Band Perry dropped new song "The Good Life" — on which frontwoman Kimberly Perry sings about the infidelity she experienced during "a toxic and incredibly difficult time" in her life. Though she stopped short of explicitly saying that her ex-husband, J.P. Arencibia, served as the inspiration for the track, the blonde beauty made it clear during an interview with People magazine that, based on the timeline, she's talking about the former MLB catcher. He clearly got that impression! J.P. took to social media — and released a statement to People — denying that he'd ever been unfaithful. He went on to call the whole thing a publicity stunt on his ex-wife's part.
In 2003, actress Mary-Louise Parker was seven months pregnant and happily dating longtime partner Billy Crudup. Their fairytale romance came to an end, however, when Billy left Mary-Louise for his "Stage Beauty" co-star Claire Danes. Claire and Billy dated for three years before calling it quits in 2006.
In 2016, news broke that Ozzy Osbourne had been cheating on Sharon Osbourne, his wife of more than 30 years at the time, with hairdresser Michelle Pugh. Sharon disclosed details of her husband's affairs in an interview with The Daily Telegraph in 2017 — namely that Michelle wasn't the only woman he'd been involved with. "Some Russian teenager, then a masseuse in England, our masseuse [in the States] and then our cook," she said. "He had women in different countries. Basically, if you're a woman giving Ozzy either a back rub or a trolley of food, God help you." His relationship with Michelle, however, was allegedly the longest — they secretly engaged in a four-year affair. "When I say he gave me the greatest love of my life, I mean it," Michelle told People magazine in 2016. "He made me feel like the most beautiful and worshipped woman in the world." (Ozzy has since insisted that his relationship with Michelle was strictly physical.) He and Sharon briefly split but soon reconciled following the cheating scandal.
Olivia Culpo and her ex-boyfriend, NFL player Danny Amendola, had a pretty messy breakup. In October 2018, People magazine reported that the Miami Dolphins player was seen getting close to local CBS sports journalist Bianca Peters while Olivia was in Australia for a Sports Illustrated photoshoot. Days later, Olivia took to Instagram to throw some shade at her cheating ex: She posted a photo on her Instagram Story of a super glitzy Rolex watch on her wrist with the caption, "Looks like this is my present now. HAPPY BDAY TO ME." In April 2019, Danny took to Instagram to post an angry rant about his former flame. "Olivia chooses and wants to be noticed on the internet and in Hollywood to make money. Which was hard for me to understand but quickly had to learn. Where as the cost of fame in this world doesn't appeal to me. I play ball for one reason and that's RESPECT," read part of the incredibly lengthy post.
During the summer of 2008, sexy photos of Sienna Miller and Balthazar Getty cuddling half-naked in Italy emerged online. The only problem was that he was married to Rosetta Millington at the time. After the affair came to an end, Rosetta and Balthazar moved forward with their relationship. "Rosetta is understanding enough and spiritual enough to let us try [to make it work]," Balthazar later told Harper's Bazaar. "I feel like we're better than we've ever been."
In 2007, Usher married celebrity stylist Tameka Foster, who was pregnant with their first child at the time. The couple divorced two years later. Three years after that, during a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Usher admitted to cheating on Tameka with her own bridesmaid. "Towards the end of our marriage, I found myself lost and I just wanted out," he said. "I was faithful at heart, but not faithful all the way. Even having a conversation with another woman about … your relationship is not being faithful." Tameka then told "Entertainment Tonight" that her ex "admitted to sleeping with one of the two" bridesmaids. "It was a very disappointing revelation," she said. "I had suspected for some time. You have to understand, this is like family to us. This is someone who was there when my children were born. She took me to the hospital when I was in labor with one of them. I hate to say it but I somewhat empathize with her because I feel that she was vulnerable and she fell into somewhat of a trap. I think that she got very close to him as a result of being my friend and I feel as though he used it to his advantage. I mean, clearly." It wasn't the first time Usher was at the center of a cheating scandal: In 2003, he and TLC member Chilli called it quits after he reportedly cheated on her — which inspired his 2004 album "Confessions."
Late NBA star Kobe Bryant and wife Vanessa Bryant experienced their fair share of marital issues. In 2003, Kobe was charged with raping a 19-year-old Colorado woman. He admitted to cheating on Vanessa but denied the sexual assault allegations. Vanessa stood by her man, reportedly with the help of an "apology" ring, and the charges were later dropped. She filed for divorce in 2011 but reconciled with Kobe the following year. They welcomed two more daughters after that. On Jan. 26, 2020, Kobe and their 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were killed in a helicopter crash.
In March 2016, a video leaked of Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Nick Young admitting to cheating on then-fiancée Iggy Azalea. The "Fancy" chart-topper took to Twitter to thank Nick's teammate D'Angelo Russell for sneakily filming the admission. A few months later, the couple ended their engagement and called it quits.
Fans were shocked when Jack Osbourne and Lisa Stelly called it quits in May 2018 — just three months after the birth of their third daughter, Minnie. It turns out the seemingly happy couple had been fighting for years, and another woman may have been the final straw in their relationship. In April 2018, Jack was spotted outside a hotel with Julie Andrews' granddaughter, Katyi Andrews. The two were former friends who reconnected and reportedly began an affair right before the divorce news went public.
Retired NFL star Tiki Barber shocked the entertainment world when he left wife Ginny Cha — who was seven months pregnant with twins — for 23-year-old Traci Lynn Johnson. The onetime "Today" show correspondent began an affair with Traci while she was an NBC intern. The pair married in 2012 — just eight days after Tiki's divorce from Ginny was finalized — and have since welcomed two daughters.
Noah Cyrus and Lil Xan called it quits in 2018 after they accused one another of cheating. In September of that year, the rapper took to Instagram to tell his followers that he felt like he was "probably being cheated on." The "July" songstress, meanwhile, alleged that it was actually the rapper who cheated on her — not the other way around. Noah claimed she saw what looked like a hickey on Lil Xan's neck. "He told me it was just a bruise and I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt," she said. "Cheaters like to accuse their partners of cheating to make themselves feel less guilt."
