Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives this year, starting with the most talked-about celebrity news stories of 2018: On April 10 — two days before Khloe Kardashian welcomed her daughter, True — several media outlets published photos and videos of her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, allegedly cheating with multiple women, including at least two ladies with whom he purportedly had long-term affairs. In the wake of the scandal, there were conflicting reports regarding whether or not the couple would be able to move past the basketball star's apparent infidelity. In May, Us Weekly reported that the duo were "fighting constantly," but by the end of the month, they seemed solid. In June, the pair presented a united front during various outings in Cleveland (where Tristan plays for the Cavaliers and where the new parents originally planned to raise their daughter) and Los Angeles (the longtime home of the extended Kardashian-Jenner clan). With the help of couples counseling, they went strong throughout the summer, but the cracks in their relationship started to show in October, when Khloe decided to stay with her family in L.A. rather than move back to Cleveland with her beau. (Later, TMZ reported that she only stayed in L.A. because of her "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" shooting schedule.) In early November, multiple media outlets reported that the new mom is still conflicted over their relationship — especially as she's forced to relive the cheating scandal on her reality show. But ultimately, Khloe is unwilling to give Tristan the boot because she wants their daughter to grow up with both parents in her life — no matter how messy things between them might be. Now keep reading for more of the year's biggest celeb love life updates…

In early June — just weeks after they were first linked — various media outlets reported that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson had gotten engaged. The news was especially shocking considering the "Saturday Night Live" star had been linked to Cazzie David up until mid-May, and it wasn't until April that the singer-actress parted ways with Mac Miller — who died unexpectedly in September. (In late May, after a fan criticized her for moving on so quickly following their split, Ariana called her relationship with the rapper "toxic" during a lengthy Twitter rant.) The singer and the funnyman quickly became the It celebrity couple of the summer of 2018, but by mid-October, they were done. According to TMZ, both Ariana and Pete realized that "it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off." TMZ added that Mac's death — which left Ariana "an emotional wreck" and "in an incredibly dark place" — was a "life-changing fork in the road" for the couple and "the tipping point that led to their split."

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin spent most of June rekindling their late-2015 and early-2016 romance. The following month, the singer proposed to the model during a vacation in the Bahamas. In September, they confused fans, friends and family members by obtaining a marriage license from a New York City courthouse, leaving everyone wondering if they'd legally tied the knot… or not. It turns out, they did! In early October, major media outlets finally agreed that the young lovers made it official during their September courthouse visit. According to TMZ, they just don't consider themselves officially married yet because they haven't had a church wedding — a necessity for the super-religious pair.
In other JB news: In early March, reports surfaced alleging that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were hitting pause (again) on their off-and-on romance, which they rekindled for the umpteenth time in late 2017. Shortly after that, the trouble-prone pop star was caught having a sleepover with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model Baskin Champion. In June, he and former fling Hailey Baldwin started hooking up again… which we all now know led to marriage.
On Feb. 15, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux announced that they'd separated in late 2017 after two and a half years of alleged marriage and nearly seven years as a couple. (There have been reports that the duo were never actually legally married.) In the months following the breakup, Justin was linked to a number of fresh young faces — from Alexa Chung and Aubrey Plaza to Selena Gomez, Emma Stone and Laura Harrier… basically every female he was photographed with this year.
On April 2, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced that they'd called it quits after almost nine years of marriage. In October, reported revealed that the "Magic Mike" star had moved on with British pop star Jessie J and that the dancer-actress had started seeing someone new who isn't "well-known." On Oct. 26, Jenna finally filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Just hours later, she was seen packing on the PDA with her new beau — Tony Award-winning actor Steve Kazee — at the annual Casamigos Halloween party.
On April 15, a year after he proposed during Wrestlemania 33 and just weeks before they were set to wed in Mexico, Nikki Bella posted a statement on Instagram announcing that she and her boyfriend of six years, John Cena, called it quits. There were reports in early May that the "Blockers" actor had already moved on with "Total Divas" star Carmella. But after a public campaign to woo her back, John and Nikki seemingly reconciled in late May. However, the reunion would prove to be short-lived: They broke up for good in July.
In late February, reports surfaced alleging that Miranda Lambert and Anderson East had called it quits after two years as a couple. Two months later, Us Weekly reported that the country star was dating Evan Felker — a married member of Turnpike Troubadours, a band that started serving as one of Miranda's opening acts in February. (Suspicious timing, right?) The duo reportedly hit it off on the road while she was still with Anderson and he was still with his wife. Though Evan maintains that he and his wife were already estranged by the time he fell for Miranda, his ex has blamed the implosion of their marriage on the "Mama's Broken Heart" singer. In August, not long after Evan finalized his divorce, Miranda described herself as "happily single" during an interview — indicating that she and Evan had called it quits.
Several media outlets got our hopes up in April when they reported that Brad Pitt had fallen for MIT professor Neri Oxman, an insanely impressive architect and artist. But then in June, Page Six revealed the truth: Neri and Brad were never more than friends. She's actually been in a relationship with another man, hedge funder William A. Ackman, since late 2017 — which she confirmed during an October interview with The New York Times. That same month, the rumor milled tried desperately to link Brad to holistic healer Sat Hari Khalsa, who turned out to be simply a friend of a friend.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were first linked in late May — a year after they cut a fine figure while posing together during the 2017 Met Gala. By early June, the "Quantico" actress had become a fixture at the singer-actor's side — she even accompanied him to his cousin's wedding. The following month, there were reports that the duo had gotten engaged, which they confirmed by participating in a traditional roka ceremony at the actress' home in Mumbai on Aug. 18. Then, after several days of parties and celebrations, Nick and Priyanka married at India's Umaid Bhawan Palace on Dec. 1: Nick's father officiated at their Christian ceremony, which was followed by a Hindu ceremony one day later.
Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger — the oldest of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's four children together — took their relationship public by stepping out for a picnic date in Santa Barbara, California, on June 17. The 38-year-old actor and the 28-year-old beauty were reportedly set up by her mom earlier in the year. They've been going strong ever since, openly spending time with each other's families, including the "Jurassic World" star's son, Jack, with ex-wife Anna Faris.
In the days leading up to his Aug. 22 return to rehab, Ben Affleck spent time with Playboy's Miss May 2018, Shauna Sexton — indicating that his relationship with Lindsay Shookus had come to an end. The "Justice League" star and the "Saturday Night Live" producer reportedly called it quits when she decided that she wanted to stay in New York City rather than move into his home in Los Angeles. But X17online reported that "Lindsay got fed up with dealing with Ben's issues, and ultimately that's what led to the end of the relationship." As for Shauna…
Ben Affleck's relationship with Shauna Sexton proved to be (a little) more than just a quick fling. The pair, who were first seen together in mid-August, presented a united front as the Oscar winner sought treatment for alcohol issues at a Malibu rehab center from late August to early October — the Playboy model visited him there and at his home in the Los Angeles area, where he took breaks for supervised workouts at his personal gym. Then on Oct. 9, multiple media outlets reported that they'd called it quits. Shauna, however, denied the breakup reports, telling DailyMailTV not to "believe everything you read on the Internet."
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck separated in mid-2015, filed to end their marriage in early 2017 and settled their divorce in August 2018. But it wasn't until early October that they officially signed off on divorce docs with the help of a private judge. (The court formally dissolved their union in early November.) The actress reportedly dragged her feet on finalizing the divorce until she was confident her ex was sober: "Jen just isn't willing to settle the custody issues until she's 100 percent certain that he's clean," an Us Weekly source explained back in August. In October, the tabloid reported that the "Alias" alum is now "dating someone new."
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 24 that Jennifer Garner has been dating businessman John Miller for about six months and that things are getting serious. According to the tabloid, the 40-year-old tech CEO, who has a son and a daughter from his first marriage, has met Jen's three children with Ben Affleck — who's reportedly supportive of his ex-wife's new romance. In November, there were reports that the pair planned to spend the holidays together.
On Nov. 20, Page Six broke the news that Robert De Niro and his wife of more than 20 years, Grace Hightower, have called it quits. The duo, who tied the knot in 1997 after 10 years of coupledom, came close to throwing in the towel once before: The actor filed for divorce back in 1999. But the pair, who have two children, reconciled and renewed their wedding vows in 2004.
On Nov. 14, DailyMailTV published a lengthy report detailing Stephen Baldwin's alleged two-year affair with professional masseuse Ruth Perez Anselmi. The report included incriminating photos and videos of the pair together, screen shots of their purported text message exchanges and an interview with one of Ruth's friends. The following day, the British paper published an interview with Ruth herself in which she confirmed her relationship with the "Bio-Dome" star, who's been married to wife Kenya Baldwin for 28 years. When a videographer confronted Stephen about the alleged affair, he didn't exactly deny anything, instead firing back, "You are out of your mind, brother. … You guys are just crazy. … Why do you guys do these sick things?"
Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk tied the knot in front of A-list guests including Cameron Diaz, Robert Downey Jr., Jerry Seinfeld and Rob Lowe at the bride's home in the Hamptons on Sept. 29.
Heidi Klum and Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz were first seen together in mid-March. The new couple made their red carpet debut during the Cannes Film Festival in May. In September, the supermodel called her beau the love of her life — and admitted that she ignored Drake's attempts to ask her out via text back in February because she'd just met the rocker a few days earlier. (In mid-August, Tom finalized his divorce from his first wife, Ria Sommerfeld, from whom he split in 2016.)
In September, Robert Pattinson's former fiancée, FKA Twigs, confirmed to MailOnline that she and Shia LaBeouf are an item. The duo reportedly connected earlier this year on the Los Angeles set of "Honey Boy," which the "Transformers" alum wrote and in which he'll portray a character based on his real father. The new romance signaled that Shia's longtime relationship with "Nymphomaniac" co-star Mia Goth, to whom he was first linked in late 2012, had come to an end. In late September, a rep for the actor told "Entertainment Tonight" that the pair, who tied the knot (with an Elvis impersonator officiating in what was widely believed to be a non-legally binding ceremony) at a chapel in Las Vegas in October 2016, "filed for divorce" and that the split was "amicable."
It was the beginning of the end for Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima — who briefly split in March due to "some tension over Instagram" — when the male model seemingly slut-shamed his older girlfriend by leaving an eyebrow-raising comment on a picture of the reality TV star rocking a revealing bikini that she posted on the photo-sharing platform in mid-July. "Thats what you need to show to get likes?" he asked in a since-deleted comment. Ultimately, Younes' jealousy wasn't the only issue. On Aug. 7, multiple media outlets reported that the 39-year-old mother of three dumped her beau of nearly two years after she found out that the 25 year old cheated on her. In early September, the former couple briefly sparked reconciliation rumors when they reunited in the parking lot of a Malibu sushi restaurant. The meetup, which was captured on camera by a conveniently placed member of the paparazzi, also prompted rumors that Younes set up his ex "to squeeze out the last drops of his 15 minutes" of fame from their relationship — allegations that Kourtney called fake news. By mid-September, it was clear that the reality star had other things on her mind…
Kourtney Kardashian started stepping out with 20-year-old model-actor Luka Sabbat in mid-September. Though multiple media outlets reported that the relationship wasn't serious, the duo were constant fixtures at each other's sides throughout the remainder of the summer. By late October, however, they'd parted ways.
Emma Watson and Chord Overstreet went public with their relationship in mid-March, but by the end of May, there were reports that the befuddling romance had run its course. In mid-June, however, the duo packed on the PDA during an outing in Los Angeles. They haven't been seen together since, and in October, the actress was seen kissing tech CEO Brendan Wallace.
Halsey took to her Instagram Story on July 3 to announce that she and G-Eazy called it quits after almost a year of dating. In the weeks that followed, she made headlines on several occasions for her public declarations of sadness over their failed romance. The rapper, meanwhile, made headlines when multiple media outlets reported on July 15 that he was dating Demi Lovato after a photo surfaced purportedly depicting the duo holding hands outside Warwick nightclub in Los Angeles. (The pair's faces are not visible in the shot.) Metro reported that the rapper and the singer-actress arrived at the club at 1 a.m. and left together at 2:30 a.m. But TMZ reported on July 16 that according to their sources, "The two were not together." On July 18, G-Eazy told "Entertainment Tonight" on the ESPY Awards red carpet that Demi is "just a friend." The following month, it was clear that G and Halsey had reconciled. They went strong for the rest of the summer — even posing together on the red carpet at the American Music Awards on Oct. 9 (pictured). But by the end of October, they'd called it quits yet again. In the wake of the breakup, there were rumors that Halsey had moved on with longtime pal John Mayer, which she denied. Then on Nov. 13, G was photographed kissing production designer Christina Roseann Ray during a night out in Los Angeles.
In early June, Jennifer Lawrence debuted her new boyfriend, Cooke Maroney, the director of New York City's Gladstone 64 art gallery. They duo were seen out together in Manhattan several times throughout the month. They've reportedly been dating since late May.

The duo tied the knot in front of a small group of friends and family, including their daughters, in the Adirondacks.
Just months into their relationship, which kicked off in early 2017, Lady Gaga and Christian Carino sparked rumors that they'd gotten engaged. In mid-August, Page Six reported that Matt Lauer — whom NBC fired in November 2017 for "inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace" — agreed to pay his estranged wife, Dutch model Annette Roque, up to $20 million in their divorce. The outlet added that the disgraced former "Today" show anchor is "bending over backwards" to appease his missus of nearly two decades "because he feels so guilty" about his behavior with multiple women during his time at NBC.
Danielle Staub and Marty Caffrey got engaged on a February episode of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." A year after the actual proposal, which took place in May 2017, the duo tied the knot in front of the bride's two daughters and "Housewives" co-stars on the island of Bimini in the Bahamas. But just three months later, Marty filed to end their marriage after publicly accusing his missus of "financial, verbal and emotional abuse." The accusations were followed by a headline-making incident in mid-August that resulted in the duo obtaining restraining orders (which were ultimately dropped) against each other.
In April, Paula Patton revealed that there was a new man in her life: a dad whom she met through her son's basketball team. There was just one problem: Her beau, Zachary Quittman, is still married. The real estate agent insisted to the media that he and his wife were long over when he started seeing Paula, but his wife, who also talked to the media, painted a different picture of how the drama went down: "Everything that he, that they, are saying is false," she said, adding that she and her husband "were not separated" when he moved on with Paula.
Rift rumors hit Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk in mid-October, with a source telling Page Six that the couple of more than three years are "miserable together" and "have been for months." Another source, however, maintained that the pair are just fine and that the actor's bad mood was caused by his press obligations for "A Star is Born."

Things reportedly got serious fast for the pair: The 30-year-old royal introduced the divorced father of one to her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, early on, and friends have said that an engagement could be imminent.
It's one of the most befuddling celebrity stories of the year: In late April, just weeks after they welcomed a baby girl together, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley called it quits following an incredibly vicious social media feud. They briefly reconciled but split again before the end of May. Then in early June, the volatile duo got into a physical altercation in Las Vegas. According to reports, Jen was livid that her dog drowned while it was in Ronnie's care, and Ronnie was furious that Jen had been keeping their daughter away from him. During the brawl, she reported dragged the reality star behind her car. But that wasn't the end of the volatile duo: In early October, Jen wrote on Instagram that she and Ron "went through a rough time" but "are strong and the best we've ever been." A few weeks later, he took to social media to imply she gave him a black eye — but they were together again for her birthday days later. They also attended the wedding of Ronnie's "Jersey Shore" co-star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino on Nov. 1 — together — and brought their infant daughter along. Then in late November, Ronnie took to his Instagram Story to issue a public apology to his off-and-on love and their little girl after the Nov. 15 episode of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" showed him flirting with Angelina Pivarnick's friend Lindsay, who also climbed into bed with him, during a tiff with Jen.
Good luck keeping up with Kendall Jenner's love life! In February, she got dragged into Blake Griffin's messy palimony suit with Brynn Cameron, his ex-fiancée and the mother of his two children. (Brynn said in court documents that she was under the impression that she and Blake were still trying to make their relationship work during the summer of 2017 when the basketball star started seeing Kendall.) Though there were reports in late March that Blake and Kendall were practically living together, the duo reportedly avoided each other during Coachella in April. In late May, Blake seemed to be a thing of the past when the reality TV star stepped out with another professional basketball player: Ben Simmons. Less than a week later, she was caught on camera making out with model Anwar Hadid, who was thought to be in the midst of a relationship with actress Nicola Peltz. (It's unclear whether or not they'd already split when he got caught locking lips with Kendall.) But just a few days after that, she was back with Ben again. (A source told People that the Kendall is "just enjoying being single" and playing the field.) In late August, there were reports that the model's romance with the basketball star had finally cooled. Around that time, she started hanging out with Anwar again. But by early November, it appeared that she and Ben were giving it yet another go.
In early June, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham weathered bizarre breakup rumors that were sparked when a junior publicist for an Irish bookmaker tweeted that they were no longer taking bets on the power couple's divorce. (Read more about the convoluted mix-up here.) The couple of more than two decades have seemed just fine in the months following the unfounded split reports.
Josh Duhamel and Eiza Gonzalez were first linked in February but didn't confirm the rumors they were seeing each other until June, when they were finally caught on camera during a dinner date in Beverly Hills. Getting married was one of those moments," she wrote in part.
Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka got engaged around New Year's Eve after the actor popped the question in Aspen with a $2 million engagement ring. But they called it quits less than a year later. The duo originally planned to tie the knot on Nov. 11 but pushed back their wedding date in August.

Australia reported that the off-and-on couple canceled their plans to tie the knot because they couldn't agree on when to start a family. According to the tabloid, the "Independence Day: Resurgence" star is ready to get married and have kids now but the singer-actress just isn't there yet, leaving her beau "heartbroken." But Miley and Liam presented a united front in the wake of the breakup rumors. They were spotted together at the Nashville airport on July 18, and the following day, the actor took to his Instagram Story to share a video of himself kidding around with Miley during a car ride. Since then, he's given his Instagram followers several inside looks into his home life with the superstar.

On the live "After the Final Rose" special on March 6, Arie proposed to Lauren as Becca, who was named the next Bachelorette, waited backstage. But that talk came to a screeching halt in late October when the football star was caught on camera looking super-cozy with CBS reporter Bianca Peters while romping on the beach in Miami. Danny reportedly told the former beauty queen that the photos were simply misleading, but the damage had been done: Olivia decided she couldn't trust him anymore and ended their relationship.

The "Thelma & Louise" star claims that when they tied the knot in New York in 2001, they mutually agreed not to file a marriage license — with the understanding that the marriage wouldn't be legally binding under New York law. Therefore, they have no joint property to split and Reza is not eligible for spousal support. In July, both parties dropped their suits against each other.
